Actually I am 40 but I have two older step children. Melissa is 26 and Sam is 29......I raised them as my own since they were Kindergarten and 2nd grade. I thought I was the coolest 21yr old mom around. Now with Austin (12) and Alex (8) now I think I am the oldest looking mother around. Funny how things go full circle. I am actually a Meme of 3 grandchildren also. Boy am I feeling really old right about now.

Believe me you are not the oldest looking mom....that belongs to some of the parents I've met at the High School...one I kept thinking you should be the grandma.

He said were they are renting school doesn't start until after Labor Day. He was hoping to be closed on the house in FL and in a permanent home so they wouldn't have to change schools later. I am not sure what they will do now.

They must be in a different school district....I thought all around here had started school....but I am so involved in LPS that I don't always notice all the other districts.

Remind him that they can always contact me if they need somebody to talk to!

Olivia breastfed as well. That is why she was in bed with us. I know what you mean about sleeping on the edge of the bed. We have a queen size bed.

We had just a full size bed for awhile! When Terra hit about a year we HAD to get a queen as she took up too much room. About 6 months ago we added a twin next to the queen that was supposed to be for Terra. Phil slept on it the first two nights with his sleeping bag before we got sheets and decided that he liked having space that he knew was his and refused to move. So I sleep in the middle, next to him on the twin and Terra still takes up 2/3 of the queen. I'm not sure what we're going to do now since Terra and I have been sleeping on a full again at Mom's. I run out of room very quickly most nights and Phil isn't even here yet. I guess we'll be moving a twin into that room too.

Well I am calling it a night.......5:30am will be here sooner than I want it to be here.

I guess I will worry about the lilo/stitch design in the morning. I just hate disappointing my co-worker but this printing just isn't working. I have printout about 8 sheets and they look very digital and unclear. They are even in jpeg version so I am not sure what is wrong.

Oh well......as Scarlett O'Hara would say......."tomorrow is another day"

Good evening all! Anyone have plans for the weekend?

I talked to my Aunt today & my cousin is getting out of the hospital tomorrow. She can walk, but her left arm is still paralizied. Hopefully with time she will get feeling back in her arm as well. I was happy to hear she is doing better. I am looking forward to being with them all this weekend.

Riley is doing well at the new school & is very happy now about going. One thing I have noticed is he is studying & doing homework on his own. I have not had to keep on him to get it done like previous years. I hope to take this as a good sign. Riley also will be playing fall ball(baseball) & their 1st game is next Sat.

Garrett already has a science project, collecting & identifing insects I'm not to thrilled about this project, I just don't care for bugs lol I have been collecting some for him, but I told him I will not help pin them to the board Garrett is playing volleyball again this year & is learning to play the clarinet in band.

Does anyone know when Lindsey returns?

We did what Abi wanted to do tonight...this is where I got my first real inkling that she is resenting her sister.
Abi "I thought we were going to do our stuff after she left!"
"Cassidy decided to not go to the ball game."
Abi "Well then what's the fun of tonight then?"

We went to Country Buffet, Abi is really the only one who can eat her portion at a buffet!! We then went to BAB to get stuff for her exchange.
Lane Bryant just opened at mall that BAB is at so I went....got a great deal but I hate spending money on my clothes and myself.
I then promised her the mommy and me time.

I just got off the phone with Melanie, June's daughter. One of the tests came back with a result that is not good. It appears that June has lung cancer. They are waiting for a return call/visit from the oncologist. Meanwhile, cards and prayers and thoughts and pixie dust will help, I know. I really don't know anything more than that. When I do I will certainly let y'all know. Please PM this to anyone that you think might not see it on here.

It has been so busy at work, that I have not been able to DIS like I am usually able to do. Here I was trying to do a fix on my computer with a lot of help from Stephanie and we were chatting about all of our DDA friends. I was whining about trying to download an update from Kodak for my Kodak Easy Share and it now has messed my computer up. I was thinking I was never going to be able to open up my Easy Share ever again. I was doing the first step towards a hopeful fix when Stephanie called me and told me about June. I stopped what I was doing and told her I was just going to worry about my puter next week. Also was going to drink a very big glass of wine.
I cannot even think, I am feeling so sad for June and her family. Meeting her in DC was such fun because she is such a great person with the best sense of humor. Stephanie and I called her an old soul. She would be the best person to go to WDW. Actually anyone we met in DC or on the DDA site would be fun to go with.

I was also sorry to hear about Caroline and hope she and her family will have quick answers with good news and recovery.

I spent enough to get two coupons for $25 off $50 purchase starting next Tuesday .....the whole store was on sale at 20% off....so it was still painful to pay, but not excrutiating!!

That is the worst news. I certainly didn't expect that. I that they have caught it in time and the she can start treatment quickly. Lung cancer is such a horrible disease. One of my bosses wives is suffering from that now. Go out to you June.
