The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 10

Chuck saw the specialist again today. The news wasn't exactly what we were hoping for. Basically, he said it's now a waiting game. It still could be rheumatoid arthritis. How will we know? If the pain comes back! He is to start cutting back 1/2 tablet a day each week of the prednisone (he takes 4-5mg tablets a day). If he needs it and it helps, he can take the celebrex. His shoulders have been bothering him still quite a bit so the doctor gave him shots in both of cortisone? or whatever it is the athletes get. The doctor did take x-rays of his shoulders since he didn't last time. He is also repeating the lyme test that was done up here just to make sure that the test wasn't bad. So, we wait! Have I told you guys that I'm not a very patient person??!!

I hate the waiting game too, Vicki. Lots of and until you know more.

I stabbed Bill today and it was at 132...amazing what 1 day of pills can do!

That's great news, Kristine! I hope everything continues to go well and no more medical intervention is needed.

I suggested 2008 since so many already have 2007 plans. I figure 2008 is far enough out that people can start saving for and they can't say they already have something planned! We don't have anyone in charge of it yet though.

After not being able to go on the May DDA trip I got Phil to promise that after Terra turned 5 we could probably work something out. Well, that will be 2008 so I can be a definite maybe! I can help plan to if needed.

I have to get ready to leave - I am so excited -

I can't believe I get to meet so many DDAers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think I need to go on the maybe for the DL meet and a Definite maybe for the cruise!!!

I was looking at May 2007 cruises and we could easily do one for around $400 a person on a 3-4 day cruise! (I was just trying to get a feel for spring cruise prices)

Who wants to be the keeper of the cruise?!?!

Tammi - I will call you later today - DH has his laptop so I might be able to pop in later - but something tells me that out of town without our kids - there might be a little ODTT!!!!

I can't wait to meet everyone and I have my camera ready to go!!!!!!!

If we are talking 2008 some time I can be the keeper of the cruise unless there is someone else who really wants to. I can also be a co-keeper if someone wants to share the job.

Here is Becky's 18th birthday thread! Thanks Heidi for creating it for her. She will be so excited to see the posts especially since "Mom" didn't create it. She is a little blue because her best friends can't spend any time with her today. She was so excited not to be at camp this year for her birthday (usually camp starts a week earlier so her birthday has been at camp) and now there is no one except family to make it special.
