My flight times just changed!!! Time for a happy dance!!!!
I've been waiting patiently for our flights to change, I knew they would and they did!

We now arrive into Disney at 9:30AM (Thanks Airtran for getting us to Disney 4 hours earlier!) and we leave a 1/2 hour later for our nonstop return (Thanks Delta!)

Paula - Where are you for the happy dance!?!

On Friday when I was checking at work to see if we heard news on Matthew at work, one of my team asked how we were going to find out. I told her that Amy was calling one of the DDA so that they could post. She couldn't believe it!!!!! She practically fell off her floor laughing.

What did they expect all of us to have Mickey ears that got warm to the touch when he was born. This isn't Harry Potter folks. :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

Becky - I think she meant they were laughing because Amy was going to call directly after giving birth to let a bunch of people she's never met know that Matthew had arrived.

I knew exactly what she meant. But I also thought they perhaps they thought we were so obsessed that we created a new way of communication.

We missed you too. Just sent you a pm about Matthew. Yes, he has arrived. The post is sometime around 10:00pm on Friday night from Bengalbelle.

Here's the info:
Matthew is here!!!!!! :jumping3:

He was born at 10:17pm (EST) and weighs exactly 7lb. They're not sure of his length yet, they're going to measure him when they bathe him.

She was still 3-4 cm when she got to the hospital, and didn't get a room until 5:30. Once they broke her water she only had an hour and 10 minute labor, and around 3 pushes. He wasn't reacting well so the Dr. used the vacuum to get him out. The cord was wrapped around his neck but he is fine.

Amy sounds absolutely wonderful for having a baby less than an hour ago!

She asked me to post since it was so late on the east coast.

Hopefully we'll see some pictures soon!

And he got his 7/7 birthday!

Nicky and I went for a drive yesterday to the Lower Peninsula for a graduation party. He wanted to get pictures of him with the Mackinac Bridge. The Mackinac Bridge joins Michigan's Upper Peninsula and Lower Peninsula. Before the bridge was built, you had to take a boat across. I understand on the week-ends the line was hours long!

Nicky was so impressed, he clicked this picture as we were crossing for a closer look at the columns.

Nicky has made me slow down and enjoy things more. Usually on my trips, I just cruise through as fast as I can. I haven't stopped at the first viewing area for 20+ years and had never been to the second.

Thanks for the PM, Vicki!

:welcome: Matthew. All your DDAunties (and Uncles) are SO glad you are here.

Saturday started with me doing laundry getting ready to leave next week to see my sister. DH had some things to do around the house so we waited until after supper to go out on Big Mo. We got to Stephanie's house and she and I then took pictures. The whole time DH stood on the other side of the street just waiting. He would groan sometimes but he was a good trooper. Here is the two of us with Thomas

As you can see I sewed a patch on the back of his jacket.

Here he is with a few more pins on the front. As you can see Harley people are big on pins as well.

He wanted to be the driver !!!

Ok, I have loved all of your pictures but these have to be my favorite so far! Isn't he an awesome looking mouse! Is that a Native American feather patch on the back. It is absolutely gorgeous!

I saw a lot of bikers yesterday & today in the UP. I think that there is some Christian biking organization that is having an event up here. Is there any special meaning to putting your hand out to the left as they pass another biker going the opposite direction other than just hello? I must have seen this 40 times today.

I got Nick cars fabric at hobby lobby yesterday to make him curtains and some throw pillows - they had a panel fabric but someone had called and put the WHOLE bolt on hold

She told me if he doesn't come by tomorrow morning - I can have one - I went and looked it up on ebay and the panel that would cost me $5 is selling for $25 - I think if he didn't pick it up - I am buying the whole bolt!! I could make some extra money for DL!!!!!

Kate that sounds like a good idea.

Will be thinking about you tomorrow. :grouphug: :grouphug:

Hi Elin!! How was OBX? Any pictures, since we still haven't seen any of Matthew?!

My neighbor forwarded this to me and I thought it was cute...

A married couple in their early 60's were out celebrating their 35th
wedding anniversary in a quiet, romantic little restaurant.

Suddenly, a tiny yet beautiful fairy appeared on their table and said,
"For being such an exemplary married couple and for being faithful to
Each other for all this time, I will grant you each a wish."

"Oh, I want to travel around the world with my darling husband," said
the wife.

The fairy waved her magic wand and - poof! - two tickets for the Queen
Mary II luxury liner appeared in her hands.

Then it was the husband's turn.

He thought for a moment and said: "Well, this is all very romantic,
but an opportunity like this will never come again. I'm sorry my love, but
my wish is to have a wife 30 years younger than me."

The wife and the fairy were deeply disappointed, but a wish is a
wish...

So the fairy waved her magic wand and - poof! - the husband became 92
years old.

The moral of the story:

Men who are ungrateful should remember that fairies are
female.

Actually, the patch just was the one for that year for the Ladies of Harley of the Harley Owners Group.

It is just as you said, to say hello. It is supposed to be my job but sometimes I can't see quick enough :lmao:
