That's a good idea. Actually, for the winners of the games, I'm giving them a cookie cutter in the shape of an ice cream cone, with a tube of cookie dough to go along with it. Is that cheesy?

Cool idea!

Becky,

Go ahead and stuff them yourself. The employees at Park City were wonderful. Couldn't have been nicer.

I think my DD just wanted me to feel guilty because I didn't give my bears to her kids! Hey, they are my bears!!!

I thought they were mice? :teeth:

I just put my new tickers in, and voila, I'm doing the double digit dance!

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Totally true! I have literally boxes and boxes of pictures of Katie. With Jacob I have maybe one box, and the twins don't have too many. Of course, there are tons of pics of them as newborns, since it was a novelty in our family, but lately, I haven't taken as many. I'm trying to do better and get equal amounts of everyone, but it's tough. There are just too many kids trying to get my attention.

Hm. Here's a thought: Katie's baby pictures and Leslie's baby pictures are practically identical. I could always use some of Katie's for Leslie's baby book and she'd never know the difference.
:teeth: Oh, I crack myself up!

Unfortunately true here as well. Laura was just moaning about the fact that I have so many photos of her older brother. What else do you do with your time when you are home with only one?! Plus I have been bad about organizing them, so I know that I have more of her SOMEWHERE around here.

Well I hate to admit it, but I do have more pictures of Garrett when he was a baby than Riley. That sounds horrible doesn't it :guilty: I am not sure why, I love Riley just as much as Garrett  But now that they are older I definetly have more of Riley, he loves to smile for the camera :goodvibes

Unfortunately that is true as well. We were just looking over our 4th of July photos, and I have many more of Laura and Miles than I do Matthew. I guess 15 year old boys just don't present themselves to be photographed as much. I am going to make an effort to represent all equally on our Disney trip, though.

Well, after our late night last night, I'm off to bed early tonight! I'm reading "The Memory Keepers Daughter" and it is a wonderful read. Hopefully I won't fall asleep while reading tonight.

I'll check in with you tomorrow, when I hope to see some pictures of Matthew gracing our thread! Hint, hint, Kevin and Amy!

Good night, all!

I just finished The Memory Keeper's Daughter. It was excellent!

Disney trips is a different story! Garrett loves to have his picture taken there & they know I will be taking lots of both of them :goodvibes

Hey everyone-
I ended up finally going to the hospital to see Alex today--He looked so good!! he was completely awake and even had baseball turned on the tv in his room. When we walked in, he took our hands right away. Dad said "i brought jen the other day and you were sleeping"--he mouthed "sorry"--I went over to hold his hand and he smiled an ACTUAL SMILE! His swelling is going down and he seems to be improving every time i see him. I overheard a relative saying that they may try to remove the tube from his trachea in the next week or so..WHen that happens, he will be able to talk to communicate! I cannot wait to see this!

Thanks so much for the prayers, thoughts, and PMs about Alex..He is a fighter and is continuing to amaze us every day!

Have a nice time.

Tia, Wow I didn't realize that you'd be moved so quickly. :Pinkbounc I'm soo happy for you. How is Phil doing? Love the Cow hunt, we have Crabs in Baltimore so that sounds like a fun thing to do.

I'm excited too! We ended up moving things up some as my sister just started a new 9-6 type of job. This means that the kids are going to the babysitter's every day and my niece just really doesn't like it there anymore. I think she just gets bored as the kids are mostly younger and I think their babysitter is starting to get burnt out after 25+ years. Plus, if we're there before Labor Day weekend I get to go with my mom to Oklahoma to see my grandmas and all of my aunts/uncles/cousins. Of course, now I've really got to get busy, but it's worth it.

I was hoping to see a picture of Matthew! Oh well they must be swamped with baby & toddler duties. Amy & Kevin, hope all is going great!

Kids want to go to McD's today for their pirate toys.

I try to take alot of pictures of all of my 3 kiddies. My DH is the 3rd child of 3 & he has an envelope (i kid you not) of all his pictures from 0-18..a legal sized ENVELOPE!!! Not even an album...anyway, since I see how that annoys him I make a effort to get alot of all of the kids so they never feel that way. Last time we were at Disney I took some of the pictures of the kids alone with the characters & not always all together. I am a big picture taker though anyway. Now organizing them..that's another story.

About POC, yea the ending was not my favorite...I like how the 1st one ended with CJ sailing off into the sunset...now I just have to wait for #3 & hope it is good.

Tammi, :woohoo: on your double digits!!! I am at 44 days! I have my mister fans ready, ponchos, plastic zip locs, sunscreen, crocs purchased...just have to get going on those shirts!!! So hard to find a design or similiar design that my 10 year old will wear like my 5&7 year olds. Gotta get going on that.

Hey chatty, CHATTY ladies!

We've been painting all day, but I just wanted to let you know I heard from Amy (although I see Kevin has posted also).

She said everyone is doing really well. The hospital is packed -- she has a roommate, people are looking for open beds, etc. Since everything went well overall, this is why they are letting her go at 24 hours. They will be discharged between 10:00pm (so now) and midnight, so - as Amy put it - she gets to sleep in her own bed tonight! Although, from what I hear about babies.... ;)

Anyway, just thought I'd let you all know. She said it has been hectic there, but he is beautiful, has passed his hearing test, and everything is going really well! Matthew will be in his new home soon! :goodvibes
Thanks for the update Jennifer.
