The Darlings Do Disney (TR is started!)

On our anniversary we have a reservation made at Le Cellier. (Now I'm worried that we will have to change our dates and be unable to keep this one!) Not only does it feel like a little home away from home (O! Canada ;)) The food is awesome. We loved it last time, so that is also our Epcot one, we think.

Le Cellier is AMAZING! I agree that it is worth the 2 credits.

I'm sure you know this, but if you eat at Le Cellier for lunch, I believe it is only one credit and then two for dinner...unless I'm confusing this with Tusker house? But I think we'll go for lunch so I can use that credit towards trying out more food!

It's past picture time.

Mr. Darling and I on our honeymoon in November 2010!

You are correct, Le Cellier for lunch is one credit. I just wanted to do it for dinner to be more special for our anniversary. I'm still thinking around it. Can't decide any which way!
And thanks, we loved the hats too :goodvibes our family and friends think they're dorky, but I still love them. :lovestruc

Those marked with a ^ are ones I do legitimately own, but on VHS :lmao: So I'll have to find a way to watch them... someone with an old VCR laying around!

Time to introduce my family!

You've seen Mr. Darling and I, and we have no human kids, so here are our furchildren.

Carteego Star, better known as Teeka. A 16 year old registered Pony of the Americas. I got Teeka when she was a year old and I was 10. We grew up together.

Ottago Cruisin, aka Dale is not technically mine, but he's been living with me and Teeka since my old horse Jewel died 3 years ago. He's a 10 year old Quarter Horse.

Sheeka (also called Freddie) is a beautiful German Shepherd/husky/sheltie mix we rescued from a box headed to the SPCA. She is almost 6 years old and is the most well behaved, loyal dog anyone could ask for.

Holly was a Christmas present to me from my parents for Christmas 2008. She was 6 months old when she was adopted from the SPCA. Another mixed breed, she has some German Shepherd and something small, and maybe some greyhound in her genes. Holly is a sweetie who loves to cuddle but has a stubborn streak.

The two are inseperable, and Sheeka acts like Holly's mother or big sister. They look so much alike that most people assume they are biologically too.

Oliver was rescued from the SPCA in December 2003. He was adopted as a barn cat, but he likes to come in the house for a good snuggle. He's an amazing hunter and likes to leave me presents on my door step. :sad2: He's also best friends with Teeka, and likes to sleep on her back.

Harry was rescued from the SPCA in the spring of 2007. He's a sweet barn cat who loves to cuddle, but may not be playing with a full deck. Oliver looks out for him and lets him play with the catch of the day.

Joining In! GREAT start so far! We stayed at a Pop vs. a Mod as well last summer; We were very very pleased with our stay there and hope to return one day!

Wow! You won't have time for human children if/when they should come! :lmao:

All of your furbabies are just precious! I have 2 dogs and a cat myself.

Wow! Lots of furbabies.
beautiful picture!
I'm an animal lover for sure! And thanks, Teeka is rarely photogenic (usually blinking or chewing or flopping her ears) so when I catch a good one of her I'm fairly proud of it :goodvibes!

Joining in! You have beautiful animals!
:cheer2: Welcome!! And thank you!

DORKY?! Noo way! DBF's dad has the goofy ones! and the ears light up and blink!! :rotfl2: I love them and he wore them around this past Christmas! :santa:
:lmao::rotfl: I LOVE when people get into the Christmas spirit!!! It's my favourite time of year and I like to pull out all the stops. DBF's dad sounds like a fun guy!

Thanks! Mr. Darling is the one who wants kids, definitely not me, so I keep piling on the animals so he'll have to agree with me that the time isn't right :lmao:

Hi Wendy

thought I come over from my PTR to meet you...

first off when are you going? Is it september then? your orginal dates wouldn't have overlapped by two days w/ another trip that I am going on w/ just my DH for our 15 yr anniversary

Love that you had your honeymoon and now 1st anniversary at WDW...so sweet! the pic of your hubby and you near the castle is great We were also there in Nov '10 around thanksgiving...the castle was BEYOND amazing!

I was scanning through your PTR as my 8 yr old DD Rachel was looking over my shoulder and loved all the pics of your furbabies..I think she was jealous. we also have a german shepherd mix rescue dog...she is 11 yrs now and is the sweetest dog too.

looking forward to what else you decide on popcorn::

I also need to tell you a funny story...one trip to MI w/ a big group of friends and 10+ kids we brought w/ us 2 older girls to help w/ the kids. One is named Rachel like my DD so my husband said we should call her Wendy for the weekend ;)...later that fall my Rachel (then 5) was in a church class w/ another little girl also named Rachel...she decided to tell the teacher to call her Rachel-Wendy and the teacher thought that was her real name...:rotfl:...everytime this lady sees my DD around she says "Hi Rachel-Wendy"

Oh almost forgot...love the movie collection and watching them all

J~

Ohhh gee, I wish I knew. We want very much to go for our October 16 anniversary, but we're getting fidgety and want to book asap and we really do have to save on this budget trip, so I think we'll be booking September 24 - October 1 for the free dining plan. Hopefully we'll book our flights on Saturday!

Neat! We were there Nov. 7-22. My first time seeing WDW at Christmas. Breathtaking! When the did the castle lighting I choked up. :goodvibes

Cuuuute! That's one way to do it ;)

Last but not least, Welcome aboard! :cheer2:

she's on my ptr...somewhere. I'd like to get a cat...but the bunny would be here first...so I'd hope it would realize its friend not food. :rotfl:

I was just getting caught up on your PTR.

Wow, you have a lot of furbabies! I thought my two was enough! :lmao:

Very impressive that you want to watch all those movies. Hope you can do it! :thumbsup2

I read that you were waiting to see if Disney releases free dining in October. I wouldn't count on them doing. Because October is the food and wine festival, Disney isn't too encouraged to offer free dining during that time, because they draw in plenty of crowds without it. Obviously, I may stand to be corrected, but I've never heard of them offering it during that time.

Umm yep! Brain wasn't working. I headed over to your PTR to look for pictures and as soon as I saw her I remembered seeing her before. She's adorable!
