C used to do that Rachal... He was scootin' his first Christmas.. we had a live tree (the one and only time) and he hit the bottom just right.. PJ came running in to the kitchen (one room away) and screamed "the twee eat my broter"! I run out and sure enough the tree his laying acrossed his legs and he is chewing on a paper ornament and he could have cared less... cause he could wiggle his legs out from under the branch that was eating him! Needless to say, DH anchored the tree to the ceiling and the walls when he got home that night!!

so the IEP meeting was the case manager tells me the wrong room, tells my kid 10 mins before abt the change then comes looking for us. The High School case manger didn't come as he had another meeting. ARGH I've got an email started to the guidance counsoler abt this lady and that she will be replaced before the may meeting. She had the *alls to grab my papers and start reading them during the meeting. WTH lady then actually says "well I guess we know where L gets his ability to self advocate!! WRONG move lady

I'm ready to clobber someone! think I'd better run a bubble bath and open another bottle of wine

Christy, can you call and set up an appointment w/ the guy at the HS w/o crazy lady in attendance??? Definitely have her butt bounced before the May meeting... If it continues, I say go get a state advocate to assist you since crazy lady isn't doing her job! Darn right you and L should be your own advocates!!! Tom watching from the back row of the show cracks me up! He knows not to get in the line of fire of a Momma Bear!!!

Oh Nan he sure does! I'm considering a phone call instead of an email as that could be considered public record and while I want this ladies head I really just want to kick her and move on. I "talked" on FB last night with his 6th grade coordinator and she says his highschool one is awesome, when she was here she was head of the dpec ed dept for middle school. We soooo miss her.
Will spend the day thinking some more on it and do something this pm.

Good for you Christy getting information from the other counselor!! That had to help a lot!! I understand what you mean by public record.. Maybe go ahead and write the "email" but DONOT send so it's in your personal records.. that way you can refer to it when you make your phone call also.. I always hate when I forget a point I wanted to make in regards to someone being a unreasonable.

Christy, definitely call, and if need be at the next meeting if she is in attendance and starts with any shennigans, simply say "let's keep this as professional as possible as everyone's time is valuable."

Thanks, everyone. My puddy cat was a rescue from a shelter two years ago, he was about 8 at the time with an intestinal issue that meds couldn't cure due to his age. Had he been younger perhaps. I am happy to know at least the last two years of his life, he was out of the shelter and could sleep on a bed giving lovins.
