Friday!!! - OMG - this was the longest week in my life!

Work in a.m. - still fun, but what a chunk outta the day!
Deliver my letters to DS's school - and watch people's heads explode! We're not giving up and we are tired of the school's crap drama and posturing around his reading comprehension! I'm now citing the literal letter (section) of the relevant laws - ha! - take that!!!
Meeting with DSs special ed team - no great expectations here for today - the letters have to kick in first for anything new to happen.
Go with Z2H and pick up castle and/or other fixtures I bought at the LSS going-out-of-business sale (probably repeat on Sat. - I can't fit everything in the van in one trip. Gulp...!)
Pancakes for dinner - kids are jumping for joy!

Good morning!! It's FRIDAY! And as of 3 pm today, I'm on SPRING BREAK!! Woohoooooo!!

Sounds like everyone has had super-busy weeks! I was out sick yesterday, so I'll be playing catch-up today, but that's ok!

Here's my list for today:

4. Shower & get ready
5. Make grocery list for this weekend
6. Make list of stuff to take to my mom's on Sunday

Brooke, have a fun spring break!!!! DS will be on spring break as of 2:45 today. He's so happy about that! And, early Happy Birthday wishes to your DH!

Tonight is our first monthly crop night at Michaels!!!!! I'm the employee in charge of it and my manager gave me some awesome prizes to give away (wish I could win too!). I'll be there to help anyone that may need it and I'll have the Cricut, Gypsy, Cuttlebug and some other things set-up for the gals to use. I figured the manager would give me store stuff to work on during the times when I'm not needed to help anyone with their scrap stuff, but he said I could scrap my own things!!!!!! The sign-up sheet for the crop is full and it should be a fun time. I'm looking forward to it!

So, before I head to work for crop night, my list is:
DS up and off to school
Laundry
Mail MK Swap (for those that aren't being held for the school swap)
Update MK slideshow
Kit a couple of things to work on at the crop

Our first crop night at Michaels went really well. We had a teacher and 4 students (young teens) from the Lighthouse Learning Center. They are all visually challenged, but that sure didn't stop them from making some awesome pages. None of them had ever scrapped before. They all loved the Cricut and I spent almost the entire time cutting things out for them. They were so happy to be creating pages for their pictures. The teacher had bought each of them their own book and printed a bunch of pictures from their outings. It was so cool.

Everyone else seemed to have a great time too and they all said they'd be back next month. We had awesome prizes, a Martha Stewart border and corner punch set, and a Cricut solutions cartridge. Throughout the evening I gave away some little prizes to whomever was holding the magic wand. I got a pink glittery wand with ribbons off one of the kids' tower racks and whenever someone finished a page/card, they showed it to everyone and then they got to hold the magic wand (even the 2 boys didn't mind holding the pink glittery wand!). I had a timer set and whoever had the wand when it went off got a small prize. They loved it and everyone got to share in what the others were creating. Lots of fun!

It was a really good night!

Boy, Stephanie - for those prizes, Z2H and I would get on a plane and come visit you at your crop! Wow!!!!

So glad everything went well - sounds like a really fun night for all the folks involved. I'm sure they'll be back and with lots more of their friends and students.

Thanks so much for letting us know about the swap box coming back - we'll watch for it! Hope you can use the little gifties we tossed in (even if they WERE from a competitor store... - eep!) and thanks for hostessing the MK swap with everything else you have going on!
