It's Hump Day!! It's my day off! And it's St Patty's Day!!

This was my Mom's favorite Irish prayer. I even did a xstitch of it for her.

Still talking with DH about a b2b cruise in Feb. Got a 2011 calendar, today checking points...


My list for today:

Caffeinate- this repeats everyday!!

Repairman watch today x2: Frunace guy coming to fix it so the little piddle tube out the back of the house is changed to piddle in my sump pump
AND
Vacuum repair guy coming too

Hair appt in my kitchen (hopefully) later this afternoon. DS21's way to cute DGF is supposed to work her magic again...

Dinner- something easy

Good morning!! Happy St. Patrick's Day, everyone!! I haven't played the past two days because I've been home with DS while my mom & dad have been gone. DH is home today and tomorrow with him. They were such wonderful days--I hated to see them go so quickly!! Just 8 working days, though, til Spring Break!

Wait for DS to get home from rehearsal - I do NOT like late nights (it was 11:35 when he got home last night) and I'm missing those extra hours of sleep. I could have DH do the waiting up since he's usually up late anyway, but I like seeing DS and chatting a little with him about his day since I only see him for a few minutes each morning. I'm so glad it's showtime on Thursday!!!

Morning!

Well there is a big yellow thing in the sky and not sure what it is but I like it!!!!

Dh is home with an awful tooth ache. He went to the dentist Monday and he said he needs a root canal and he has an appt for sat bit he is not going to make it !! He needs it to be done today.

My new furniture comes today!!!!!! My old stuff is on my front porch. Ugly! I need to get rid of it but I can't make dh move it right now since he is on soooo much pain!!

drop off plastic eggs at my nieces house. She does the Easter egg hunt and she needs about 1500 eggs.

Blah, feeling a bit like death warmed over. Woke up at 4:00 am with a major headache. Thought I was going to be sick, but managed to keep two Advil down. Hoping the little sips of coffee I'm taking will help too.

Unfortunately, I *have* to go to work. With my boss out, no one will be there, and he'd flip. So, I'll drag myself in there and try to get a few things done. If I'm not feeling better by 2:00, though, I'm coming home.

Oh, Orientation at the Middle School last night. I'm seriously not going to make it. The guidance counselor held up a sign that said Welcome Class of 2018 and I almost collapsed in a puddle on the floor. My baby...

DS went to school TOTALLY decked out in green today. Not even sure where he found all the stuff - looked very cute. The bus driver gave him a string of the green Mardi Gras beads when he got on - huge smile!

Spend today on the phone and poring over the various new insurance plans - ai ai ai, this stuff gave me such a headache last night!
Clean scrap area from the baby book explosion.
Start mentally gearing up for a(nother) school battle...not getting good vibes out of there at the moment.
Walk the dog on our regular route through the ok areas of the flooded neighboring town (oh, my!) and spend some time outside starting to rake up the perennial beds (have two weeks before the yard/garden HAS to be cleaned up for our annual Easter egg hunt!)
See TB this afternoon and get a trip report from her!
Foxtrot class tonight - that will be fun!

I have a funny picture from yesterday. Sophie had just gotten here, and crashed in her bouncy seat. The cats really didn't know what to make of her. That's my Meezer in the back on the left, trying to check her out without getting too close

Yay for B2B cruises!!

OK I don't know why y'all don't like rats. I had a pet rat when I was little. They are really kinda cool. Until they get really big. Then maybe not so much.

Snakes - blech.

Today

DD has Festival at "neighboring school" - 45 minutes at least - its like an interpretive reading/poetry presentation type thing.

Leprechaun must come and wreak havoc - think xmas elf - but only one day
Gotta drive up to cousins house and make leprechaun visit there to - muhahaha
I asked - OK - DHs Cousins Wife - my friend - "do you lock your doors?" They live on top of a mountain - she said "no - do you?" muhahaha -

ok leprechaun, leprechaun, festival, lunch, home, dishes, dinner??, 4H scrapbooking meeting - making cards for soliders tonight, make sure pig gets fed and walked, fold and put away 1 load of laundry

Lots of running around today - not the most productive of days.

Sure is... I boil the cabbage... cut into shreds or bit size pieces (depends on my mood)
then drain..
put in mixing bowl and stir in cream of mushroom soup
transfer that into baking pan
add shredded cheese on top and some croutons
cook for 15-20 minutes @ 350
viola

It's great! I love it.. I eat it over the next 2 days as I'm the only one who likes it.. I think I got PJ to try it last time....

DS9 is the class of 2019... We have a teacher who we are good friends with who is waiting to retire until DS9 graduates... He is going to walk in w/ DS9 and walk across the stage and begin his retirement as all his "adopted" children will have graduated on that day!!!

Then had to write DS18 a letter for senior retreat tomorrow...and read DH's letter too

I'm so happy to see the really kind and interesting people my boys are becoming...but they are still my babies!
