~The Daily Grind~ 3/16/10

It's The Day After Monday! This week is just rolling along! :)

I decided to change my weigh in day to Tuesdays. Monday morning is just too stressful to be worried about getting on the scale...

Today I have to talk with DH about his continual hinting around about a 7day cruise...

My list for today:

Caffeinate- this repeats everyday!!

Little Bit up and fed.
More exercise.
Little Bit to school.

I get to babysit! Princess Sophie is coming here while her mom goes and has her stitches removed from her hair transplant! (Her hair never grew back after her tumor surgery - like she didn't have enough going on!).

So, I've got to vac and go to the bank and library before she comes. Then I see a photo shoot in our future. Oh, and throw dinner in the crock pot...

I do have to fringe the other half of the blanket for the girl scout meeting, and come up with a small craft idea in case the blankets only take 30 minutes and we have nothing to do for an hour.

Open House at the Middle School too. I'm so not ready for my princess to go to middle school!

Hope everyone has a good day!

It's weigh-in day for me too.

Wait up for DS to get home - it's opening night for the musical on Thursday so they are having long and late rehearsals this week. It was almost 11 p.m. when he got home last night and he still had homework!:scared1: I'm hoping tonight goes better and he gets in earlier.

Morning!
I've got a full day ahead of me.
Dh has an awfult tooth ache. He went to the dentist and is having a root canal but not until Saturday. So I need to fill his prescription.
Work. Inhave my internal audit. That is stressing me out. It's also board meeting week - Thursday- so I better be ready for that.
Call and make an appt for taxes
run and pick up pics
pic up something for dinner
move my cabinet and get rid of my old furniture/ new furniture coming tomorrow!!
Laundry

this and about a zillion other things!

Have a great day everyone!

Busy day for everyone - good luck to all!

Will to try to start - and finish? - a baby "first year" scrapbook by this afternoon for one of DS's teachers. She's the one who comes to the house weekly and only has a couple of more weeks with us before her maternity leave (and a successor takes over).

Finally, the monsoon has stopped and the sun is out - restart the dog walking!

DIT - I remember those crazy HS days/nights, too, with Z2H! The schedule was grueling and you can't imagine how you'll all get through it. (But you do!)

Good Morning, Everyone!

Workout and pool done - hard to kick start this morning, but I did go, if only because I thought the egg lady would be there (she wasn't) so I'll have to go again tomorrow morning. See what one has to do for motivation, sometimes, lol.

Sun is shining, gonna be a great day!
Hope you hae a good one.

Sun is shining here too!:yay:

Lots to do

Coffee
Get dressed
Dishes away
Reboot laundry - pull sheets from girls beds
Lunch with friend
Target run

Take and refill propane tank for BBQ - dang it forgot this one!!
Coordinate kid traffic control for 4H meeting tonight
Dinner?? hmmm....crockpot sounds good - will see what I have

Busy day here.. so I'm just checking in...
my goal for the next hour til the kids start filtering in the house is to

1. get DH to actually work from home rather than tinker and nib-nab around the house!
2. work on 2 LOs from yesterday
3. cut letter set for project
4. dinner ready early
5. get everyone ready for DS9's music program
6. verify batteries and camera are ready to go
7. stop the annoying squeaking on the bathroom door (it's like nails on a chalkboard)
8. see what tomorrow has on the schedule; I'm 10 pages behind from where I was last week

The SUN is out! OMG, it's so nice to see it.

Princess has left. Good gravy, I forgot what hard work babies are!

I got her to smile though ;) Had to get a picture of her bib (she came with it!).

SHE'S AWAKE!

Thanks for the cute pic - what a great smile!

Just finished the teacher's scrapbook - was tying the bow on it in one room as the teacher was literally coming in the front door! Danica helped by putting the finished pages in - that was when I realized I meant to include a Happy First Birthday" 2-page layout after the monthly pages. Eek! JUST got it done in time (and got to use my penny MS cupcake punch for the first time!). Doing 16 pages in one day (actually about 8 hours) is truly a record for me. I felt like I was moving at the speed of light - I'm usually a pretty slow scrapper. (Danica said it looks "really creative"...high praise from her, so it must not be too bad.) The teacher loves it!

Whew -

She was quite awake! Poor little button still has reflux issues, but she's so precious!

Did you have time to take any pictures?

Sadly, didn't get a chance to do any photos. I wanted to, since I try to do photos of the books I do for folks, but... I did get to try some new different toys/dies/punches/techniques I hadn't gotten to use before on pages, so that was fun (and educational).

Oh, well! At least it is done - my scrap area looks like a bomb exploded - what a frenzy!

Dinner is rice cooker mac & cheese tonight - whew - easy peasy. Then DH and I have to spend the night reviewing the bazillion new choices for health and other insurances from the new employer. We're trying to keep things as easy and seamless as possible from our existing coverages, but it is tough making sure we're doing "apples to apples" - it is pretty overwhelming!

comparing coverage is time consuming!

Please to be sharing mac and cheese recipe!!

Adorable little baby! Love the bib!!

Jennifer, Sophie is absolutely adorable!!!! What a cutie!

Pam, congratulations on getting that baby book finished in 1 day. Good for you!!! I'm sure the teacher was thrilled.

I am so lovin' the Sophie pics! Thanks for sharing!!

I always thought I would have one of each, but was gifted with 2 boys... I wouldn't change either of them! Maybe one of them will be nice enough to have a girl grandbaby for me to spoil rotten, then give back :teeth:
