~The Daily Grind~ 11/3/09

Hope your DH is feeling better and stops bleeding soon.

Rebecca

any news Christy?????

(keep in mind---no news is good news)

thanks Holly
nothing except for a phone call for an LNA job I applied for 2 months ago:confused3:confused3 where's that been sitting??? trying not to go stir crazy and I keep telling myself the same thing.

TB Hope DH's stopped bleeding and isn't to sore, I'd imagine tomorrow he'll be feeling it. and thank you for the thoughts.
Hope glad 1st night went well here's hoping you've accomplished more than me, I'm having a major ADD day just can't accomplish anything.
AWM dogs and vet ack $$$$ I think my animals cost me triple what my kids do in the medicine world
PBF Thanks keep them crossed I need it followed by a drink I think my sanity will be tested with the waiting......................

trying to get stuff done and I'm just not getting there. dinner however is made and I've managed to load and unload the dishwasher and laundry and folding cloths. Not much else it's going to **** before I have the stuff inside.

Fingers are still crossed, Christy! What about that other job though?

Does anyone watch Glee? I saw one episode and it's sooooo funny. I bought the soundtrack today. OMG, it's so good! :dance3:

The $50 for the vet visit is worth for the peace of mind knowing he is okay. Vet said it looks like he had some trauma to it, but thankfully didn't scratch anything. He got some antibiotics just in case and is supposed to rest. :rotfl2: Like that is going to happen with three cats just on the other side of the fence taunting him. I swear they sidle on up to the fence to just to annoy the dogs.

Are you still interested in the LNA job?

The pups do cost the $$$. Especially when it's an emergency :( Glad everything is OK with your lil guy!

I finally took all those vits today...rattle rattle rattle :goodvibes Should see improvement in a month? Wow, I was kind of hoping for sooner...

Tonight is meatloaf for dinner I think...

AWM- good luck with the fried rice!

Hope- Glad the first night went well!

I just set the DVR for Glee. I haven't seen it yet, but people at work say it's really good.

:rotfl2:
I always feel like I should wear a lab coat when I dispense all the vitamins we take. :thumbsup2

3/2 Vitamin D3, 1 Vitamin C, 1 Multi, 1 Elderberry and 1 Allergy - each of us. All in cute little piles, four in a row. :rotfl2:

Alex did get sick, but he recovered in 3 days with no relapse. And the rest of us, knock on wood, are doing fine.

My DH was forever sick. Really. The folks in his office have no dignity. They come in sick and spread it everywhere. Since DH started this therapy in April, he's been able to fight the virus off. He said he will feel like he does right before he gets sick, but it doesn't progress from there. :thumbsup2

Well my afternoon plans were shot when I offered to watch a friend's son- he had a fever through last night and had to stay out of school- she was home from work watching him so i told her I would watch him for the afternoon so she wouldn't have to work tonight. She is lucky in that she has very flexible hours so she was going to spend the evening working instead of with the family.

It has been eye opening to have a 7 year old for the afternoon- but on the plus side I got him to help me wash the dogs which Larry hadn't had time to help with and I can't do alone.

Ok - back from the ER with dh (only 4.5 hours)They ended up doing x-rays of his neck (which turned out fine) and he's got an avolution injury (new word for the day - basically means "gouge"). He's missing a chunk out of his chin, which is why it wouldn't stop bleeding.

Now off to get the jellybean from PinballFamily. Election day in MA so the kids were home and once again PBF saved the day.:flower3:

I need a drink

hugs for mr. tinkerbean. that must have been one nasty spill.
hope he feels ok tomorrow.
you are lucky to have pbf so close by that can take the kids in a flash. nice to have good friends!

rebecca-those 7 year olds are full of energy huh?

awm-my mom was big into her vitamins. nice to see someone else takes them. i don't. i know i should, but don't really know what they all do.

Yes, he was always moving- definitely not at all sick. The dogs loved having him over- he wanted to walk them a few times, throw toys for them, chase them, and feed them. All of which they appreciated. He just got picked up.

it's and lna in training so starts as patient care then you can go into the program since I have a med background her thought was I'd get some credit for that. I really don't know anymore. I love working with the elderly and would enjoy it, it would be year around work verse the school year...... I'm very undecided I guess cause my mind set changed I'm taking the night to think the whole thing over.

AWM just avoided a vet visit at our house Bailey found a porcupine this pm. 2 men 1 female and a 16 yr old neighbor to hold her down and get them out. Can you tell it's not the first time around for us. Boys freaked out though.

TB hope DH is feeling better. What a mess. I dread those bike crashes hopefully the boys avoid them. Cousre we have no tar around the farm.

My mom unexpectedly took the Princess for dinner, so we had turkey soup and bread and butter alone. No candles or anything, him on the couch, me in the chair, L&O was on.

I only saw the one episode of Glee and I don't have a DVR, so I'll have to try to catch up online. The one I saw was so funny though! I love Charlie's therapist in anything ;)

Oh poor Bailey. Ouch!

Thanks Rebecca. The fried rice turned out pretty good. Just used the soy sauce though. The Teriyaki sauce is out dated :rolleyes1 not sure how that happened and the boys aren't into ginger unless it is men. :rotfl2:

Glad it turned out well- I add in a little ginger to lots of things since it decrease gas- not enough that anyone can taste but it helps when we are eating gasy food- no bloating or smells afterwards.

what channel is that on? and what's it about?
sounds very romantic! how'd the soup come out?
and my mother LOVED L&O. that and CSI.

that is just funny!:rotfl:

It's on Fox. It's 13 here. It's about a high school glee club. A lot like High School Musical, but for grownups. I love how they break into song at the drop of a hat ;)

L&O is the *best* show on television EVER. Hands down. I could watch it over and over and over again (and, in fact, I have been known to do just that). I like CSI, but CSI: NY is my fave of the three. Not a CSI: Miami fan, David Caruso is a horrible actor.

Soup came out nice. They went to Friendly's though and now I want ice cream!

You can catch up on GLEE if you go to to hulu dot com

They have all kinds of shows I don't watch. :lmao:

Most of them are the last five episodes that were shown and some have the whole season. Not sure about Glee because I never looked, just saw the title there.

Aaaaarrrrgggggghhhhhhhhh! Having a 9 year old is so much fun! I'm so sick of fighting with her over stupid things! I'M THE MOTHER, THAT'S WHY! Deep breath...

Wanna trade? One pre-teen for a teenager? Mine pulled an all nighter last night complete with drama. I am so tired I am surprised my eyes stayed open today at work.

Good Morning...

Christy we are thinking about you:goodvibes

So Dh took a spill on his bike this morning and landed on his face...
He's Ok just looks really bad. He'll be working from home for a few days.
Always wear a helmet!!!

:scared1::scared1: Hope he is feeling better.

My to do list went like this:

Think about taking a vacation day since I was up all last night. Didn't, went to work
Throw a load of dark clothes into the wash.
Woodstove
Empty dishwasher
Caffeinate
Work
caffeinate
Early to bed

Yippee...whew! Our local election results are just in and the "new blood" I mentioned earlier DID get elected to our School Committee tonight! Four newcomers won spots and only two incumbents (the two hardworking, intelligent moms, thank heavens!) got reelected. Apparently, this elicited a huge gasp at City Hall when the results were announced. Hee hee!!

We know three of the four new SC folks and have high hopes they will do a great job. When you've got kids in the special education program, like us, you always worry about the funding levels and the administrators - the last SC gang (in power for FOREVER - no lie - decades!) seemed particularly clueless about SPED issues. Maybe now we'll see some enlightened thinking and long-overdue changes...despite the fiscal constraints all cities and towns are going through right now.

Spent earlier tonight still working on scrap area reorganization - and freeing up some shelf space for Z2H and her ever-growing collection of Iris boxes!

Hoping Mr. TinkerBean is feeling better...what a day for that family!
