I opened up a link to the youtube video of Obama stuttering and forgetting his speech when the teleprompter went out, and my dogs started to bark and howl when they heard his voice. I just knew I had the best wuppies in the world.

And I promise cake too, just as soon as I can get DH to show me where he hid the folder of pix.

It is. I 'stole' it from one of the art sites. I just don't remember which one.

It's easy to be friendly when you've got hot lead as back up.

a pollster asked OS some basic questions -- sadly, a large percentage of them didn't know things like which party was in charge of the House/Senate. Many of them knew the 'scandals' surrounding SP yet none seemed to know the scandals surrounding BO

A lot of people who voted for Obama were ignorant about the man and the issues. They listened to 30 second talking points bashing Sarah Palin from both the Obama campaign and the liberal media, but they never researched Obama and are in for a rude awakening.

You have a point though; this is how my older relatives are. They honestly don't see how a woman could be happy and not married by age 22. Try not to let it annoy me though by reminding myself they grew up in a very different era. My great-parents got married when my great-grandmother was 15 and my great-grandfather was 17, I think. I can't even imagine that. Then again, that was around 1904. Different times, different expectations.

Try being 29, about to turn 30, and unmarried. But, people are beginning to back off from their comments towards me about marriage - I think they've just given up on me ever meeting someone to marry.

Welcome! I remember when I first joined the DIS. Sometimes a thread would pop up on the theme park boards about the scary, evil CB and I didn't dare venture over to this side for the longest time because of what people would say. Finally I did and while some people can be down-right unfriendly (and scary! ), the ones on this thread are great!

What do y'all think of Hildabeast as SoS? I think it's a risky move for the old girl. I'm imagining that The One will be looking to "ask her to step down" after a couple of years, thus neutralizing her for any future political runs. I think it's a set-up, so he can be done with the Clintons once and for all. And then where does she go? The post-SoS gig hasn't exactly been friendly to Madeline Half-bright, has it? She's been flailing around for relevancy ever since. Will Hill be happy being a third-string pundit on PMS-NBC in a few years?

Yesterday,I went to get all the toiletry items we need, put all of our tickets in my carry on bag, printed my itinerary booklet,finished packing.

I like because she'll steal some of that man's thunder.
You are right though that he'll try to sabotage her. I can see him in a meeting with Aminajad, flipping him off in that immature way he has and dumping the mess on Hillary.
She'll walk a minefield but if she handles it, hopefully, it's toodles for you know who.
Madeline doesn't know how to finesse people and pc or not, she's ugly. In this land of tv worshipers, it's hard to be be ugly and successful.
Hillary may be a "bull in the china shop" sometimes but she has learned a thing or two from Bill.

Sorcerer Donald and Dolce - you just never know what is in the future for you. I met DH 1 month shy of my 30th BD and married him 2 months shy of my 31st. I was just living my life, not really looking at the time.

Sometimes the good ones are worth waiting for and 15 years later, I'm still happy.

The way I choose to look at it is either she will fail and that will be the end of HC or she will succeed and make everyone realize that they should have voted for her instead of BO.

It doesn't really matter who he picks. Choosing R E set the tone and as far as I am concerned its a matter of gritting my teeth and pinching my pennies for the next 4 years. I have endured 15 years with the corrupt Chicago political machine and now have to endure 4 more at the federal level.
