Hey, over on the OS thread they're comparing GWB to Ahmadinejad and suggesting that Obama needed Secret Service protection when he visited Bush at the White House. Ummm, that's when they aren't lamenting all the "hate" on this site.

:scared1: :scared1: I can't even peek on that thread they make me  .

a pollster asked OS some basic questions -- sadly, a large percentage of them didn't know things like which party was in charge of the House/Senate. Many of them knew the 'scandals' surrounding SP yet none seemed to know the scandals surrounding BO :sad2:

I just watched the video, and checked out the poll. Wow. Are we a 1/2 nation of idiots or what? I know my friends who voted for BO get their "news" from Jon Stewart, Bill Mahr and Stephen Colbert, as well as MSNBC. :sad2: The only saving grace for me is that I know I didn't vote for BO and I did everything I could to get others to open their eyes too.

Its what the the Liberal establishment has been attempting to do the past several years. They have been dumbing down the country and they start in the schools. Yet, they think of themselves as being the salvation of our country's education system. Then you add the MSM to the fray. Puh-leese!

You can definitely count me in the camp of people who do NOT believe "everyone should vote." Like, for instance, if a person can't actually register himself to vote, he shouldn't vote. A basic civics test before voting would be a good idea, oral or written, whatever. I know that's a pipe dream, but imagine the government we'd have if idiots couldn't vote or have their votes "cast for them." I mean, Al Franken is a freakin' candidate for the U.S. Senate — and he almost won! Al Franken! The guy is a total wacko, and hundreds of thousands of people voted for him. Why? Because he had "D" after his name.

I posted this video and poll to my myspace and facebook pages, and sent it via email to my closest friends and family who voted for BO. Normally I wouldn't have just to keep the peace, but I can't stand quietly by any longer and let these uninformed "do-gooders" think I think they did something "historical" and "good" by voting for this imposter. If they want to keep up the farce, let them, but I'm not being a party to their "party". Imagine, for all the Bush bashing that went on, undeservedly so, they are finally going to get a taste of their own medicine, in spades! Watch, now someone will call me a racist for using the word "spade".

Well, clearly you are a racist. You could have said "in hearts" or "in clubs" or "in diamonds," but you went right to "spades." Why did you pick spades? Maybe you're one of those racists who doesn't know he/she is a racist, you know, until some really helpful person points it out to you just as you're winning a political debate. :rotfl:

Seriously, though. We're going to have sooooo many opportunities over the next four years to say "Hey, don't blame me. I didn't vote for him." For now, just sit back and watch the show. While it pains me to say this for what it will mean for by beloved country, the Obama dream will unravel as quickly as the Obama rise occurred. When we're in the deep throes of a depression, and our taxes are sky-high, unemployment and interest rates are in double-digits, and gas is $5 a gallon, not even the Obama cheerleading media is going to be able to stop the quiet murmuring that will lead to the loud roar: It's Obama's fault! Look for a Time magazine cover two years from now, with a sad and dejected Obama (not the happy, smiley one on there now) and the cover title: What Went Wrong? To which we'll all be screaming: "What went wrong?! You elected an unqualified president and gave him a huge majority in Congress, you fools! That's what went wrong!"

Oh I know. My mom said she'd get me the "Don't Blame Me, I Voted Mccain/Palin" t-shirt and bumper sticker for Christmas. I'm gonna need about a thousand of the shirts to wear every day till the EOAE on 1/21/13.:headache:

Save some Dole Whips and Mickey bars for DH and I. We will be there week after Thanksgiving.

 :yay: :woohoo:

Hey, so will I. I'm leaving on Dec 4th. :cool1:

I completely agree with you. The Dems would never have it though because if all the voters were educated on the issues, they would all be voting Republican. ;)

The entire country would have voted Republican had they been smart enough to actually study up on the Dem candidate and see what BO truly is....:sad2:

I just got this email. How appropriate:

The most eye-opening civics lesson I ever had was while teaching third grade in 2000. The presidential election was heating up and some of the children showed an interest.

I decided we would have an election for a class president. We would
choose our nominees. They would make a campaign speech and the class would vote.

To simplify the process, candidates were nominated by other class members. We discussed what kinds of characteristics these students should have. We got many nominations and from those, Jamie and Olivia were picked to run for the top spot.

The class had done a great job in their selections. Both candidates were good kids. I thought Jamie might have an advantage because he got lots of parental support. I had never seen Olivia's mother.

The day arrived when they were to make their speeches Jamie went first. He had specific ideas about how to make our class a better place. He ended by promising to do his very best. Every one applauded. He sat down and Olivia came to the podium. Her speech was concise. She said, 'If you will vote for me, I will give you ice cream.' She sat down.

The class went wild. 'Yes ! Yes ! We want ice cream. '

She surely would say more. She did not have to.

A discussion followed. How did she plan to pay for the ice cream? She
wasn't sure. Would her parents buy it or would the class pay for it. She didn't know.

The class really didn't care. All they were thinking about was ice cream. Jamie was forgotten. Olivia won by a land slide.

Every time Barack Obama opens his mouth he offers ice cream and 60% percent of America reacts like nine year olds.
They want ice cream.

The other 40% percent know they're going to have to feed the cow.

Can anyone photoshop BO as the Ice Cream Man?

Holy crap on a cracker!! That should make every informed voter cry. To think these morons can vote is really sad.

Stern did a "man on the street" interview in Harlem and when asked if they supported Obama's plans/policies, all said yes even though the information presented was McCain's, not Obama's.

And those reasons are why I don't even lurk over there. :sad2: Henceforth it shall be referred to as Nincompoop Corner.

Welcome, mousehouselover!

Anybody else think we use American Idol as a model for our Presiential election? You don't have to register to vote......multiple votes are okay. You can pick anyone...votefortheworst.com. You have a "judge" deciding which votes should count. Sound familiar?;)

So, DH just told me that Rush thinks Hussein is setting HC up for a fall with the SOS position. The thought is that Bill's money that he gets from overseas (?) will disqualify them.

Here are my thoughts....if that's the case, I'm sure Hillary's savvy enough to figure this out. Soooo, if this is what's happening, I think she'll let Hussein disenfranchise her once again. Then she can quietly work behind the scene to make sure Hussein is a flop, blame it on him, and run for the dem spot in 2012 regardless of his incumbancy.

 Ok, taking off my tin foil hat to hear what y'all think....popcorn::
