The thing about Katie Couric doesn't surprise me. She used to work in VA back when she was a Pentagon correspondent, I believe it was. To many people in NOVA (aka Northern VA) who actually met her/knew her, she's still known as "Commie Katie." The parents of a college friend of mine knew her fairly well, and even though they're liberal, my friend says they even call her that.

The other day, I had an OBs try ti give n=me grief. I just told her I was NOT having this discussion, She started again. and again I told her I was not having that discussion
She finally let it drop.

I'm exhausted. I only got about an hour of sleep last night at the hospital so I'm gonna go nap while he's asleep...only 1 1/2 hours till I gotta go feed him again.

I've been getting in all the snuggling that I missed the first 5 weeks of his life today. He's barely been out of my arms since yesterday

So, once again I was lurking on the Obama thread. Their newest victim? Piper Palin! Why? Because there's a video of her walking around her kitchen wearing what are clearly her mom's high heeled shoes. They're all predicting that, because she's a 7 year old who likes to play dress-up, she'll be pregnant by the time she's 16! I've honestly never heard such rude and crude things about a child! Also, apparently there's a video of her carrying her little brother around, and it looked "unsafe". What's wrong with her carrying the baby?

And yet bo's daughters are off limits. Amazing.
There are plenty of companies that make dressup clothes and shoes, Disney included. Is every little girl going to end up pg at 16?
I played dressup as a young child and I never got pregnant until 25 and by that time I'd been married almost 5 years. I wasn't sexually active at 16.

I need about 150 posts to be able to play the Wilderness Lodge loop. Sigh. I figure if I post 10 times a day, I'll be able to play it in 15 days. The problem is the forums aren't quite as hopping as this one. Lots of fun topics, but I feel funny posting in a bunch at once and being the only one replying to them.

Seriously? Hmm. I played dress-up starting around age 3... I wore my mom's heels around the house; heck, I even wore her white, knee boots from the 1960s! I think I even had a feather boa. I'm 25 and no baby for me! My cousins were the same way, and they're married with no kids yet.

As for Piper carrying Trig... there's been a couple of times I winced because it looked like she wasn't supporting his head correctly and could drop him. But both times you could hear someone correct her or read their lips saying "Be careful," for example. I trust Sarah and Todd to know what their kids are and aren't capable of when it comes to watching Trig.

did you see the greta interview on the bus on halloween night? there was little piper chompin' down on all that candy! HA HA!!!! right after her mom told her she needed to ration it....so very, very cute.

i think you should be able to listen as a guest....on the left, where you see "requests 96, requests 64...", try clicking on the number 96 and you should see some icons underneath...try clicking on the windows media player icon (arrow in the circle). for me that brings up the player which then connects and starts playing.

if that works, you can then go back to the main window and on the left side, click on "now playing"...i don't always recognize what i'm hearing and like to know.

one other super neat thing they have done is with their "skins". they will start to change automatically...right now i see one with the monorail scooting around and sparkles where i move my cursor. they also have an adventureland one and when you move the cursor, it plays the "donka donka" sounds you hear there, and they have a haunted mansion one and the ghosts scream! what a hoot!
