Oh-my-freakin-gosh. Can the OS get any more pathetic? I ran around in my mothers heels and played dress-up when I was a kid around that age. By their logic I should have been pregnant by 16? Oops. Didn't happen. I guess I never got that memo.

All you can do now is laugh.

You guys know that I didn’t support Bush in 2004 – couldn’t stand the guy (although now that I’m actually learning more about what is truly happening and not just listening to sound bites from the left any longer, I’m beginning to respect him more). But in 2004 I voted for Kerry; I couldn’t stand Bush and I was furious that we were in a war based upon lies. But, even feeling like that about him back then, when he won I didn’t fear for our country’s future like I do now facing an Obama presidency. The guy has only been elected for a week and already we’re getting a tiny glimpse of how bad it is going to be under his ruling. He’s trying to move fast and it’s going to be scary just how much he can get done with the Dem’s being in control of both the Congress and the Senate. I pray that in 2012 the Republicans get complete control of all three branches just to undo what the Dem’s do to us over the next four years. Then I want it to even back out with no one party in complete control. I don’t agree with one side having complete control. This is why we have three legislative branches; to try to prevent this type of thing from happening.

Me, too. And I didn't get pregnant until I was 37, despite all the trampy high heels I've worn throughout life.

So, once again I was lurking on the Obama thread. Their newest victim? Piper Palin! Why? Because there's a video of her walking around her kitchen wearing what are clearly her mom's high heeled shoes. They're all predicting that, because she's a 7 year old who likes to play dress-up, she'll be pregnant by the time she's 16! I've honestly never heard such rude and crude things about a child! Also, apparently there's a video of her carrying her little brother around, and it looked "unsafe". What's wrong with her carrying the baby?

Why not try reading all the posts before you go off on all of us. Only one poster said she'd be pregnant by 16, by the way, not all of us. Piper was wearing her mother's shoes WHILE carrying Trig, which makes those of us who are parents and parents-to-be flinch. She could easily trip and fall and hurt the baby. Wearing her mother's shoes and carrying Trig, by themselves, aren't big deals.

And most of us on that thread agree--kids are off limits.

OMG!!! My daughters are 7 and 2 and they love wearing my shoes. I'm so glad the Obamabots brought this to my attention, at least now I can take preventative measures. I think I may still have time to turn the 2 year old around but the 7 year old may already be a lost cause .

Speaking of making assumptions, maybe some of those same people would stop doing drive by's at night, look at a few posts, and assume they know our feelings on all subjects political. This thread moves FAST! Our subjects move just as fast and have probably been discussed a few times that day, in different parts of the thread. Seeing only one side of it then tattling back seems a bit immature. If you don't like what you see, move on! Except for pouncing on the attacking of a little girl, we've done the same.

Speaking of that, the results came back this morning. It's negative (that's great news!), so I'll have another year before I need another one. Cool beans.

Paulson Shifts Focus of Rescue to Consumer Lending

``Illiquidity in this sector is raising the cost and reducing the availability of car loans, student loans and credit cards,'' Paulson said today in a speech at the Treasury in Washington. ``This is creating a heavy burden on the American people and reducing the number of jobs in our economy.''

Paulson's remarks are an acknowledgement that the pitch he made to Congress for the bailout hasn't delivered what was promised. Paulson sold the Troubled Asset Relief Program as a way to rid bank balance sheets of illiquid mortgage assets, and he may encounter resistance from Congress for the remaining $350 billion after using most of the first half to buy bank stakes.

Surprise surprise!!

Okay so I admit I've been enveloped by the WDW bubble since Friday and haven't seen much news, checked the internet, or mentioned BO for that matter (just got back last night). After taking awhile this afternoon to watch the news and read this thread I'm officially off of my Disney high and back to reality. I can't believe the stock market today. I can't believe that BO wants to shut down gitmo ASAP. I can't believe that the dems plan on national healthcare. Finally I cannot believe that the BO supporters are still happy with their decision. We're already seeing the effects of a BO presidency, this guy is going to seriously screw us all and their still on .

Okay I'm going out to read more and get even more concerned about this country .

I missed the news yesterday. What does he plan on doing with the prisioners at Gitmo? What is he doing with healthcare? I'm not sure if I want to know, but I feel it's in my children's best interest for me to be informed with what's really happening in DC.

Just got back from DS's 9 mo appointment. He's in perfect health...29 inches high, 21 lbs 9 o, no anemia, everything's good to go.

Exactly what is this 'civilian' security force going to do? This just stinks to high heaven folks. There was a woman talking about it on Bill Bennett this morning, she grew up under Fidel Castro and said it sounds EXACTLY like living under Castro was. She is very scared for our country now (and so am I).

OH my gosh, this is so frightening to me. My kids are 11, 9 and 4.

My DD 6 is already planning on moving to Canada " with or without us" due to some of the things she has heard from BO and DS 12 plans to write his congressman to protest the "mandatory" volunteering. He is a boy scout and already does a lot of volunteering, he said he just want to be the person who picks what he WANTS to do rather than being told what he HAS to do.

They are both POed beyond belief and they are children.

DH is ready to switch from independant to Republican. BO's choice of RE pushed him over the edge ( he despises him and his bullying ways).

I am becoming an American so I can make sure to vote next time.

Some good has come out of this election. Yes we may be stuck with BO for 4 years but I guarantee that if he keeps this up, he won't be around for 8.

I'm exhausted. I only got about an hour of sleep last night at the hospital so I'm gonna go nap while he's asleep...only 1 1/2 hours till I gotta go feed him again.

I've been getting in all the snuggling that I missed the first 5 weeks of his life today. He's barely been out of my arms since yesterday

Oh--just thought I would add that I just love Sarah Palin even more after wathching her interviews on Greta's show Mon and Tues. I'm envious that she can manage 5 kids, being governor...and there were no dirty dishes in her sink...heck, her whole kitchen was spotless. Totally not fair, but I love her anyway.

Yup. Emanuel's book The Plan is quite eye opening. And a good example of why I disagree with those screaming at the top of their lungs "He's harmless!"

Personally, if this actually happens, I think the youth vote will go the way of the wind for the Democrats for quite a while. And frankly, I hope if this happens they wait until May of next year, aka when I turn 26 and thus would not be forced into what sounds suspiciously like indoctrination boot camp. Thanks but no thanks, already did that. It's called "attending a liberal arts college."

Now after all of that multiquoting, I can't remember what I came here to post. Oh well - it will come to me eventually.

Oh yeah - this isn't it, but how's the Christmas shopping coming along? We have $1200 saved up in cash, so somehow we need to get all of our kids, family, teachers, etc in that budget. We have a HUGE family, so hopefully I'll stay under budget this year.

This morning I made a pact with myself that I will only spend money on necessary items. I have a habit of relying on fast food, buying books, gum, soda, etc. With the economy (and the fact that BO may take 50% of our 401k), we've decided to get back on the Dave Ramsey plan and knock out our debt. We have tons of it from DH's med school (and stupid decisions on our part) that I want it gone now more than I ever have. It'll be hard giving up soda, but in the long run, it will not only be better for my wallet, but for my health as well.

So an update on my health situation, this is going to be short, I'm at the airport about ready to board in a few minutes. I met my new endocrinologist last night. It went very well! It looks like I do have Cushing's Disease. I will need to do a little bit more testing with him because he can't diagnose me off my old doctor's labs, even though he can take them into account. He thinks we can possibly get me to surgery in under 3 months. So that is VERY GOOD news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm very excited. So, I'll write more when I get home. Oh, and he thinks he has an answer to my vision issues as well, so that's another plus!!!!!!!!
