My personal opinion is if I'm abiding by Biblical principles, but the rest of the world hates me, then I must be doing something right! :thumbsup2

I'm finding that the older I get, or maybe it's the further down the Christian road I get, the shrill mouthiness of dissenters matters less and less to me.
Yup.:thumbsup2

They obviously have an inferiority complex if they feel the need to post here and reiterate or explain their putdowns.

Libs are so smart so they must have just forgot that part of history :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

they'll be trying to re-write history for the rest of time...to suit that agenda hilary mentioned in her letter.

so sad....as soon as history is forgotten, it repeats.

Honestly. I really don't get it. I have absolutely no desire to read the OS thread whatsoever. I don't care what they say or think regarding politics. We don't agree, we won't ever agree, and that's that. If they want to discuss Disney, kids, anything else but politics, fine, but otherwise, zip it!

I love this thread. I'm in and I'll try and check in regularly....

Palin/Huckabee in 2012! Or maybe Huckabee/Palin... I just can't decide...

Obama had hired hundreds of kids to do nothing but sit around all day long blogging on the internet. Their mission was to smear anyone running against Obama, take control over message boards and comment sections to bash the opposing candidate and make it all pro-Obama and to even pretend - when need be- to have been a person voting for the other candidate that saw the "error" of their ways and switched to Obama in attempts to get more of the sheep (aka: clueless Americans that really wasn't paying close attention to this election) to follow the Obama heard. Is this what the GOP should do next election?

I had heard they had done that. They were so obvious. You could point them out so easily.

I just want to add: I also think that they just like to argue. I think their life would be pointless to them if they didn't have anything to argue about.

Exactly.

I would've have said, "better Jesusy than Satany!"

:thumbsup2

For those of you who get called racist for being Republican, remind your so smart liberal "friends" that Martin Luther King Jr. was a Republican as well as his father and his niece is currently a Republican. The dems faught against civil rights and a certain hate racist group w/ 3 letters was created by DEMOCRATS! Then you can offer them a read at this beautiful website if they need proof http://www.nbra.info/ Libs are so smart so they must have just forgot that part of history :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Pretty nifty little site, there. Thanks for posting it. I've got it bookmarked.

Apparently, no one "out there" cares about media bias AT ALL. :sad2:

The Wash. Post admits their bias toward Obama, but the response here is either "So?" or "Fox News" or "There's nothing we can do about it".

“Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.”

Yes, that is the really scary part. It became well known about the bias the media played this time around. They even admitted it themselves at the end, when they had already done what they had accomplished. No one seems to care. What is going on???

Hi everyone! Hope you all have a great day today! Off to finish the laundry - I think it multiplies on its own.

Ugh...that is what I'm doing today, too. I'm so behind...

Scary isn't it. Media helped Obama to win and they will help him make this Presidency a success. So the big question is, will we get the correct news about what is really happening or will we get only the positive stuff? Will the media and newspapers help Obama blame the other party for its failures?

I don't think for quite sometime. They'll want him in a second term, so everything will still be "Bush's fault" for quite awhile. I really dislike the mainstream media.

Hey everyone,

Posted a couple of times but checked the thread daily. I always enjoyed the thread. So I would like to offer any conservative in this thread 2 nights in a studio at Old Key West for this Nov 21 & 22. The only thing is right now you would have to switch rooms. Maybe when you can check in they might be able to keep you in the same room. I had some extra points that I messed up so they need to be used by the end of November. If anyone can use them let me know.

That is so nice of you to offer. I hope someone can use it.:flower3:

Man, people have to be really full of themselves to think we give a crap what their opinion is regarding what is or is not offensive in their liberal eyes.:lmao: :rotfl2:

I agree. :rotfl2:

Nope, haven't forgotten history.

Frederick Douglas was also a Republican.:thumbsup2

From Reconstruction until about 1930, the vast majority of blacks were Republican. As a matter of fact during Reconstruction, blacks ran for and were elected into public office as Republicans.

Yes and do you know when this changed? When FDR started his hand outs. And that is a fact, jack.

Well howdy howdy howdy....have been off the CB for a bit hanging on the ABD (Adventures by Disney) board...we are thinking of taking a vacation through them. We had decided that we wee not going to vacation except for our Annual camping trip (if ya wanna call it that cause we use our Motor home :rolleyes1 ) but I am starting to have withdrawals for more. We cruise Disney every year to year and a half (just went to Mexico in July)....and also go to WDW(when cruising) and always DL because we are DVC members and AP holders there(in Ca.) ...

so we were thinking of doing the Grand Canyon(Arizona) and Utah ABD....we don't have far to fly.... about 45 minutes at that....

Anyone ever done ABD?????

As for the Hillary letter.....they will not have the money for that and many others things they want to do. I am still not sure how I feel about the Health care programs. Being a nurse and seeing how much moneys we spend in our taxes already due to sooooo many using health care free clinics and hospital stays and Emergency rooms and Medi-cal/Medi-caid....we are paying more in taxes for all this than you realize. In addition to the rising costs of private Ins. I am between the fence on it...

Want it but dont want it.....We can afford the $900 a month for our HI...and that's for an HMO/Kaiser....people that can't afford it well I worry about them and also if they go to a Hospital ER they can not be turned away. JMO on the issue.....

I'm hoping that those that have been on the DIS move on because, frankly, they contributed nothing but *******. Even if they claimed to have kids and to have jobs, you could tell from their posts that they probably weren't even voting age.

Hi everybody. I'm away from the DIS for a couple of days and it feels like I've been gone forever. :upsidedow

I only read the last page or two, but am I correct in assuming that there continues to be an invasion of leftists? Poor things... they're like the Hare Krishna people in airports back in the 70's and 80's. They can't take "no" for an answer and they won't quit pestering you. :sad2: At any rate, continue with the bombardment of flowers and lasagna, and send up the batsignal if necessary. :goodvibes

Is anyone else feeling really out of place in terms of what's going on right now? I remember when the Bush-haters would say stuff like "Bush is not my president" and I wouldn't understand. I do now. I feel like some kind of outside observer of American politics at the moment. I don't look to H as any kind of leader, any more than I do the head of some foreign country -and he hasn't even taken office yet!
I didn't fell like that during the Clinton years. It honestly surprises me because I am typically a loyal and patriotic person, but right now I have nothing but disdain for the coming administration. Maybe worse yet, it could turn into apathy.
As I think about it, this is probably similar to the range of emotions that an assault victim goes through. Having been mugged the victim feels anger, and then just gets sort of numb. What comes next?

not sure how okay it is to mention this here, but i'll do it anyway.

to make the work day go much smoother, i listen to an online station which plays nothing but disney music...it is called subsonic radio (subsonicradio.com). once you register, you can make requests from their extensive library of disney park music.

today somebody requested the most beautiful version of The Star Spangled Banner i have ever heard...it is a recording of The Voices of Liberty from the America epcot pavilion. another favorite of mine is My Country Tis of Thee. soooo beautiful it brings tears to the eyes.

while i'm sure some other threads wouldn't be interested, i knew this thread would like to know.

I think I know kind of how you feel. It feels surreal, in a way. Like I'm watching a bad movie. Except, this won't end in two hours, like a movie would. I look at my kids (19, 17, 15, 12 and 10) and wonder...what will the world be like for them?

But...I can't just sit back and watch it happen. We have got to rally together, and fight to take this country back. I'm trying to learn how to best do that. What "I" can do to make a difference.

I think it would be helpful if people here could post ideas about things like that. Like whoever it was who posted about contacting our Congressmen about Mike Pence for the Republican House Minority leader position. That kind of thing is helpful, I think.

Thank you so much! :goodvibes I'm going over there right now to check it out...

Hi everyone. Just checking in to say, "HI". It's getting to be crunch time at school, so I can't get on the computer as much as I really want to.

I was watching Hannity's America last night, and he did a story about how liberal history college professors teach history and how they distort things to suit their views and agendas. I know I've seen it first hand. Sick, sick, sick.

My son is taking a history class this semester (it's his first year) He said the history professor had such a huge smile plastered on his face after the election.

Good luck with your schoolwork! :)

I would think normally indifference would come next when the person can't harm you any longer, but considering the fact that H could cause great, irreparible damage, we can't afford to become indifferent.

ITA!

Puppy stuff...

The kids have narrowed the choice of name to either "Jack" or "Todd." I told them we'd decide today.

This guy is a Houdini. He's getting out of every barricade we have. He can jump like a jack rabbit! :rotfl:
