I just got online a bit ago and was showing my dad the prices online for the resorts. Opened two windows, showed how he'd be paying $100 more to stay in a Mod regular price than WL or AKL with the discount and...

We conservatives are toothless hillbillies who marry our cousins, run meth labs and voted for McCain (apparently most meth lab operators were McCain supporters), need to wear Depends because we "leak", and (this one made me throw up a little in my mouth) we want to have, ummm, relations with Barack Obama and lie awake in our beds at night looking at our husbands who just don't measure up to him (projection much? Some are posting "pin-up" photos of The One and then posting "drool" comments. Ick. Ickity ick ick ick.).
Oh, and we're really…yeah, you guessed it, HATEFUL (as opposed to the peace and "flowers" above, I suppose).

I mean I loooved Ronald Reagan, but, uh, not in that way. It wasn't a crush. It was his love for America (and American exceptionalism), his soaring belief in our ability to manage our own freedom, his disdain for encroaching government power. This Obama love is something else entirely. And it is creepy — and kind of sad. They're Brad Pitt-ing him — and there isn't a person in the world who takes Brad Pitt seriously.

The part bolded makes me . I can honestly say I've never felt any attraction for BO.

Even funnier are the people that honestly think that anything would have been measurably better in NOLA after Katrina if Kerry had been President! But, they can at least be happy knowing that we'll have fewer and weaker hurricanes once O gets in office!

Not to change the subject, but I just saw the most inane best buy commercial ever.
This bb guy is talking about a wife wanting to give her husband a new phone but didn't know how to go about it. He suggested that she wait until he's sleeping, take the Sim card out of the old phone, put it in the new one, wrap it up, stick it under the tree, and have someone call the phone. Not only calling the phone, but do it from another room!
He said 'she was so happy we thought of this'!
Right. Because we as consumers are too stupid to think of this on our own so we need best buy to tell us how to do this.

Sorry, that just struck me for some reason. And this is a commerical on the Discovery channel.

We actually did something like this a couple of years ago for DD. We swiped her phone and replaced the sim card in the new one. The new one would record anything. So, I recorded myself saying "Ashley, your phone is ringing. Ashley pick up the phone". That was her ring tone when DH dialed her number. She was definitely surprised.

A good little Christian would never criticize a politician. Surely Jesus would frown on such behavior. They should roam the earth preaching "ask no questions, and then you will be told no lies". Trust and follow your mortal leaders like good little soldiers.

What the leftists overlook about Jesus is that he never hesitated to call BS on the crap TPTB were trying to pull.

As for being called a Christian, good. Their disdain for Christians is well-known and for them to call us that is a badge of honor.

It's amazing how they'll call us Jesusy because we're being 'intolerant' and in the same breath they'll say, "Do you think Jesus would deny gays the right to marry? Do you think Jesus would think the war on terror is justified? Do you think Jesus would deny a woman her choice blahblahblah?" (The answers, BTW, can be found in the Bible. The answers are 1) yes, 2) look up Thessalonians as God says there is a time for war and a time for peace, and 3) no. Just in case you're wondering, lurkers, the Bible is a book that can be found in just about any bookstore, but especially Christian ones if you can stand to go in there.)
So which is He? Intolerant or their version of liberal hippie Jesus?

My SIL had her leg shot off by a guy in Detroit that said she was one of those whiteys on TV. Racism goes BOTH ways.. there are idiots on BOTH SIDES.
Yes, shot off, by a shotgun at point blank range. It never made the news. Even when we pressed the news organizations to put it there. Seems suburban white girl getting shot at in Detroit makes for bad news. THIS Pisses me off... the color of the guy? nope.

I know I might be alone in this opinion, but I think all the advancements that we have made in voting technology since the 2000 election have been a waste of money. The punch card system would have been fine if we educated people to pull out your ballot, hold it up to the light, and look for any hanging chads that might mess up the count. All you had to do is find your candidate and punch the hole next to their name. So easy and idiot should be able to do it.

Since 2000 where I live, we have gone through two different electronic voting systems and now we are on our second different optical scan system. The touch screens had fraud concerns and also went out of calibration often enough to cause concern, plus the votes were stored on memory cards that could be tampered with. The optical scan ballots have fraud concerns as anyone with a pencil can fill in circles since no machine is needed and the votes are stored on memory cards so they can be tampered with to.

It just seems because of a few idiots we have spent millions of dollars to get to a point that our elections are more fraud filled than ever.

Even though it is your right to vote, I think you also have the responsibility to be an informed voter that has a minimum of intelligence and common sense. If you are too dumb to fill in a circle or punch a hole in a ballot, you have lost your right. Many people have fought and died to give you that right so act like you deserve it!

doesn't bother me at ALL to have "you're too not-smart to vote so go away" voting rules.

MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY!!!!! Interesting, too, that TPTB railed against Jesus because they wanted their Messiah to fit into THEIR parameters, not God's -- looks as if there really isn't anything new under the sun, is there?

You guys (my fellow conservatives and Jesusy friends) may have discussed it, but I'm playing catch up. So please forgive me if you have. I heard this morning that a new tape was released by the #2 concerning the election and criticism of BO. He called on Muslims to harm "criminal" America. If they are going to start liking the US, shouldn't they be all excited that he was elected and anxious to shake his hand? I thought they were going to be happy, or did I misunderstand what we were told before the election?

I did just read some of what he said. Some of it is absolutely horrible to say about BO. I'm just surprised they weren't happy with the election.
