OT, but does anyone have any ADR suggestions for me for WDW? I need to figure this out ASAP. We will definitely be going to the following places. I'm listing what we eat there so you can get an idea of what we like.

Le Cellier for lunch (our only big meal the whole trip)
Hollywood Brown Derby for lunch (my mom and I split the Cobb salad, my dad orders the coconut shrimp appetizer, and we all split the Grapefruit Cake)
Tony's for lunch (the flatbread pizza)
Chefs de France for dinner (soup for each of us and a split order of the macaroni; sometimes dessert also)
Afternoon Tea at the Grand Floridian (tea and scones)
RFC at Animal Kingdom for dinner (pizza and chicken wings :lovestruc )

I'd like to try 1 new restaurant this trip. In the past, we've eaten at the following places. We won't be returning to these places this time:

Crystal Palace
Cinderella's Royal Table
50's Prime Time
Sci-Fi Dine In Theater
Mama Melrose
California Grill
Chef Mickey's

I'd like one new restaurant for lunch or dinner, and we want to try a different Character Breakfast (CM's is getting way too high). I prefer one with Donald. :donald: Any ideas?

i was at the yak & yeti on opening day (third party seated!!!) and loved it. GF tea and caramel ginger ice cream in china are my only mandatory eatin'.

is anybody else familiar with a web site which, when typed as a url, looks like ALL sorts of EARS in a .ted NET? (if my secret squirrel code was too stupid, pm me and i'll send you the link.) if you were to find that web site, and you did a search for "menus", you'd find all the menus for every single restaurant at wdw...they're kept very nicely up to date.

Simply trying to disspell the disinformation that was being spread around...

I felt it was proper to provide the entire quote in context so it was not assumed (as it appeared that it was) that someone actually meant those comments about Conservatives that supported McCain. The original point was that those types of comment coming from either side are stereotypes and should not be stated as if they had any basis in facts.

zzzzzzzzzzz................

All I can say is that if they started a thread about it and it started a round of name calling, must have a hit for nerve for someone. :rolleyes1

Look, been there, seen it firsthand, okay? Before I was removed and put into foster care at age 16 and parental rights were terminated, my dad and stepmonster abused the system. I saw them do it, okay? It happens. They would send me in to buy a $.05 pack of gum, get the change, then they'd buy something else with it. They also spent money social security (death benefits) money on stupid crap for themselves rather than what it was intended for (i.e. to take care of me).
I also know someone who had foodstamps and sold them to her neighbor for cash to go buy cigarettes. That was two months ago.

AGAIN, the post was about convincing people to spend money/benefits they need for food or rent on stupid crap about bo that they don't need. It's the same concept as people spending presciption money on a lottery ticket.
It in no way stated that all bo supporters are welfare-sucking con-artists. If you want to take the joke as such, then so be it. I don't care that you apparently think that way of your fellow democrats and project your thoughts onto a post. :cool2:
-----------------------

SD, I'm jealous, too. When are you thinking of going?

and...AND....IT WAS A JOKE!!! maybe they just don't recognize a joke...'cause they voted one into the white house.

hockeymom, I had read your post quickly earlier and didn't realize it was your DSIL that happened to. That's awful! I am so sorry. When in the world did that happen? Prayers to her and y'all.

My favorite place EVER to eat at WDW is Garden Grill. That's our Christmas meal this year. Great setting, great food.... it's just awesome if you haven't been there yet. I love the food. I love it!!!!:dance3: :dance3:

It's been awhile since I've looked at their menu on AllEars or here. I'll have to check that out, thanks! :thumbsup2

I have no suggestions SD, but I'm jealous of you. I hope you have a fantastic time and I'm so glad your dad saw the light. :D
Me too! :goodvibes MM, have you checked into the 7 for 4 deal for next January-June? It's on Values as well, so you could go very cheaply if need be.

I edited my post...I misread yours....sorry. You can check out restaurants and their menus on wdwinfo.com. I think TH has one of the best breakfast at disney. It has a good variety from which to choose.
Thanks, TLSnell! I love CM's, but the price just keeps going up. And this past time the character interaction was not good. So, looking to try something else. I must have my Donald fix though. :cloud9: Tutto Italia sounded pretty good when I last looked at the menu, but even though I love Italian food, it's too heavy for me on vacation. We ate there when it was Alfredo's twice, and I left sick each time thanks to the combo of a heavy meal and the heat.

SD, I'm jealous, too. When are you thinking of going?
Booked the whole shebang tonight for the end of April! :yay:

Geoff, I wish I had your ability to detach -- I still get a little sick about all of this...

However, I do have a few light moments...I guess Pritzker was too far gone for even H's administration...

But the thought of Sebelius for ANYTHING brings back the gloom :sad2: I guess the folks in KS will be happy though ...

I'm having a blonde moment  (I am a blonde, so I can say that :rotfl: ), but who is Sebelius? What has she done that's bad? Her name is ringing a bell, but I can't remember.

I just read on Michellemalkin that the AG just collapsed and is still receiving treatment....prayers...

He was in the middle of his speech when it happened. And what a sad speech it was - here's an excerpt:

Greta showed a tape of it not long after it happened on her show tonight. Oh, it was awful! :sad1: I got choked up just watching it, and thinking back on it now too. I hope and pray he's okay.

Seriously, I love how "Christian" has become a derogatory term. I can't wait for somebody to throw that in my face. It will mean I'm doing something right. ;)
Ditto. :thumbsup2

I love it when they call me that!!!:goodvibes They call me "Jesusy"!!!:rotfl2:
I know many don't see it as such or mean it as a compliment, but anytime I hear anyone say "Oh, those evangelical right wing conservatives!!!" I smile. Or laugh, either one. Are there people on that side who are hateful towards others? Yes, as there are in any religion or ideology. But disagreeing with people's actions does not make a person an intolerant nutcase.

i was at the yak & yeti on opening day (third party seated!!!) and loved it. GF tea and caramel ginger ice cream in china are my only mandatory eatin'.
I loved the tea at the GF this year! My mom and I had tea parties when I would get home from school when I was a little girl. Brought back a lot of great memories. AllEars is a site I've used for years; it's great. I like the menus here as well, but my computer has some issues with that part of the site. Yak & Yeti's menu didn't interest me earlier this year, but I'll check it out again to see if anything's changed.

and...AND....IT WAS A JOKE!!! 'cause they voted one into the white house.

:lmao: :lmao:

Anybody think, the Big 3 execs need to get a clue? Methinks they could learn from our girl Sarah? They should be puttin' those planes on EBAY!!!:lmao:

I guess I'm a tad late tonight. I couldn't get on the net last night so I'm waaayy behind.

There are 1522 days until 1/20/2013. It seems sooooo long when you write it out like that ....

Seriously??!?!?!! it's too long..........

Thanks, wonder. I'm *hoping* I'll be placed at either the elementary or high school level. No guarantees I will even be placed though, since I'll also be competing against a new batch of applicants. There should be at least 13-15 openings in the area that I'm aware of though, as opposed to a whopping four this past year.

Yes, because that's clearly an intended vote for one of the other 2 people. The first thing I thought in terms of that ballot was it could've been filled out by a disabled person. My grandmother has bad tremors in her writing hand and arm, and she thankfully has touch screen voting. If she had to fill in a circle, it very well could end up looking like that ballot picture.

I checked a bunch of dates and the only ones in April and May that came up that had a Standard View room at WL (read: cheaper view room) was at the end of April. We just finally finished booking it! :yay:

I just endured almost an hour long fight with the WDW website's reservation system. It randomly started saying there were no rooms available in all of WDW from April to May.

Three things here: 1. Good luck on the job front! 2. We all now Franken lost his mind a long, long, long time ago. ITA about the elderly or disabled though. My DGma has stopped sending b-day and Christmas cards because she can hardly write anymore. (She also can't afford the cards and postage but that's another story.) 3. At least the park schedule is out for your trip. They haven't released May yet and according to CRO probably won't until Dec.... They said there are some big changes and a NEW EVENT they are scheduling but no details will be available until the first of the year.

Tutto Italia is probably my favorite restaurant at Epcot right now....love it, love it, love it. I think, Tusker House has Donald....and the food is good too.

Glad to hear some good things about Tutto Italia. We're trying it on our trip next month.

My favorite place EVER to eat at WDW is Garden Grill. That's our Christmas meal this year. Great setting, great food.... it's just awesome if you haven't been there yet. I love the food. I love it!!!!:dance3: :dance3:

I really like GG. We've been twice and had a good time during both visits. The food is reall good.

Seriously, I love how "Christian" has become a derogatory term. I can't wait for somebody to throw that in my face. It will mean I'm doing something right. ;)

I like how that happened too. It's like they want us to be ashamed of our beliefs or to appologize for them. I'm not sorry my Bible says certain things are wrong and you disagree.

And if things couldn't get any better: US power, influence will decline; unprecedented global transfer of power Just great; we have a share the wealth leader in charge while we lose our status in the world. He'll be giving away everything........... well, except weapons, those he'll melt down to create statues of himself. (j/k)

It seems toilets are no longer safe. Experts call for end of flushing toilets, New toilet tax proposed More toilet facts you didn't want to know at the end of the article.

Hockeymom, I'm so sorry that happened to your SIL. :(

The first thing I thought in terms of that ballot was it could've been filled out by a disabled person. My grandmother has bad tremors in her writing hand and arm, and she thankfully has touch screen voting. If she had to fill in a circle, it very well could end up looking like that ballot picture.

Since I agreed that if you can't fill in the circle maybe you shouldn't vote, I should clarify that I wasn't talking about anything like the ballot shown that is being disputed. There's no rational explanation I can see for even disputing that ballot. (And yeah, my Mee Maw or my ex BIL who has a form of palsy would fill in a circle much like that, as would anyone just doing it quickly). I was referring to the idea that if there is really someone being "disenfranchised" because somehow the "fill in the circle" concept is too tough for them, they hadn't oughta be voting!

Simply trying to disspell the disinformation that was being spread around...

The original point was that those types of comment coming from either side are stereotypes and should not be stated as if they had any basis in facts.

Aaaaand...apparently you missed the point, despite several clarifications along the way, that it WASN'T BEING STATED AS FACT. The only reference to liberals/OS was a JOKE, and the point of the joke was people buying garbage they don't need (yeah, sorry, my personal opinion that an Obama plate is garbage) instead of things they actually do need. The stuff being stated as fact was, I'm very sorry to say, OBSERVED FACTS, and nobody said a word about the political affiliation of the people mentioned. Are we all cleared up now?

Hey back at ya! I'm starting to feel somewhat better. I went to the doctor this morning. Everything was sitting in my chest for the past few days and I was having trouble with my lungs - both when I spoke and did too much and then they just plan wheezed. I was concerned about pneumonia but fortunately I passed the breath test that my doctor gave me to check for it. While my doctor was surprised that I passed the test, after listening to my lungs she thought I'd fail it, I'm just thankful it isn't anything that serious. I finally began coughing today so hopefully I'm on the mend.

Yeah, I was getting really worried about pnuemonia too. That particular type/location of pain and the wheeziness (I was kinda squeaky :lmao: ) has been the harbinger of pneumonia for me in the past. I'm glad we're both on the mend! I'm still getting winded pretty easily, but at least I have producting coughing going on, and the pain and tightness stopped.

:lmao: :lmao: Okay..that's a good one.

I have a five month old Tonk. I need to follow her around with a camera. She is hysterical.....she could have her own thread. Her name is Shadow but, we affectionately call her "Diva", "Nutjob", among other names I can't put on the dis.:rolleyes1 She has "fun" playing with the automatic lid on the trash can. I caught her carrying a nail around the house last week. DH almost "threw her away". She'd hidden away in a trash bag. Poor thing...last night she jumped on my ceramic cooktop....it was on!!! I've never seen a cat jump that high.

I'm having a blonde moment  (I am a blonde, so I can say that :rotfl: ), but who is Sebelius? What has she done that's bad? Her name is ringing a bell, but I can't remember.

She's a diehard lib who was jockeying for a spot as VP. During the campaign, she was one of the many who called out Republicans for not voting for H because of his race --

Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius accused Republicans on Tuesday of injecting race into the presidential campaign, arguing that they are using “code language” to convince Midwesterners that Democrat Barack Obama is different from them.

“Have any of you noticed that Barack Obama is part African-American?” Sebelius asked with sarcasm. “(Republicans) are not going to go lightly into the darkness.”

Lovely....

Ann Coulter wrote about the non-flush toilets in one of her books! It was either "If Liberals..." or "Godless," can't remember which. And she was talking about self-avowed liberals in the U.S. who want to force us all to have those types of toilets installed.

Thanks for the well wishes. I had wanted to go in May, but the standard view at WL sold out last week for all of the May dates I tried. So, no go. I had noticed a while ago the hours weren't out. They're still not out? Wow. Wonder what the new thing is? I'm nervous already about April because Fantasmic! is only being shown 2 or 3 times the entire time we'll be there. I can imagine how early we'll have to get there now, if we get in at all. :sad2:

Oh, I know what you meant. I was just thinking/typing aloud. It made me mad when I saw that picture because I first thought of disabilities when I saw that ballot, and idiot Franken is trying to say they meant to vote for him. I could just picture someone trying to say my grandmother really voted for Obama or another Democrat when she is an avowed Republican. :sad2:

Back in 2000, I remember they had a lot of people on TV who were angry about the butterfly ballot. One of the reasons for complaining was insane though. Some were mad because they'd been given a paper that was apparently inaccurate that said something like "Count 2, 5, and 8 spaces down to vote for the Democrats." They counted, didn't bother to read the ballot, and they squawked when it dawned on them post facto that they had voted for Buchanan. If you cannot be bothered to actually read what's in front of you and you can read (as they obviously could in order to have been able to read the "voting guide" in the first place), don't complain if you get it wrong. I was a senior in HS at the time, and we had a lot of chats about that mess in my government class.

In regards to my sister in law (which I only brought up due to the excessive racism shown by the other side.) I still stand by my statement that it goes both ways. The media just choses to show one.
Thanks everyone, for your concerns. This happened a few years ago. She was my brother's wife. They're now divorced, but she wanted and begged for it, not him. She now has a metal rod for a leg from the knee down. She limps, but the biggest problem for her has been mentally. She doesn't believe she is the same person anymore. Its truly sad how a few seconds can change your life so quickly.

No one who witnessed it would talk, except for the friends who were with her, so that was no additional information. The cops said they thought it was a local gang who was doing an initiation/shoot. They were and are still of no help. The fact that the papers didn't pick up the story just baffles my mind.

You don't have to agree with all of this, but it does make for an interesting read. No matter what happened over the last eight years, I still like and respect President Bush. No (President) one is perfect. Happy Trails Mr. President.

To those here who blame Pres. Bush for everything including the election of Barack Obama, shame on you. Conditions beyond his control led to the election results.

Pres. Bush came into the office as a cocky spoiled son of an ex-pres. September 11 changed him forever. We will never know what kind of president he would have been because that day changed everything. In the early days and months, he was still fairly cocky but the difficulties of war and the burden of the office sobered him up. Reality bites as they say.

When Pres. Bush landed on that carrier, his approval ratings were sky high. People love a winner. The turning point for him and for the war came when the Democrats, realizing that his popularity spelled disaster for them, began sniping about the war, treatment of prisoners and whining that we were in another Vietnam. All this within a year to fourteen months in. Pres. Bush needed their support and they did everything they could to cut him off at the knees, including disparaging our own troops as murderers, rapists, mercenaries. You name it.

So, Pres. Bush didn’t veto a single bill until the last two years of his presidency. Well, thanks to the sniveling cowards in Congress, including those in his own party, he had to lower himself to get the support he needed for OUR troops on the battlefield. He may not have always made the right decisions, but there was never any doubt about who he supported and who he wanted to win in this war.

In the beginning of his presidency, his attempt at bipartisan cooperation led to the No Child Left Behind Act, written by Ted Kennedy. Laura Bush, a librarian and educator, no doubt had a lot to do with Pres. Bush’s desire to do something to fix the problems liberals have created in the education system. By all accounts, this act has not been successful, but again, the educators whined and fought it at every turn. Why, because they were now accountable for the results they were getting in the classroom, when all they want is a ton more money to fund their “progressive and innovative” education experiments with our children.

Pres. Bush has been an honorable man. Maybe not the best man for the job. Maybe unprepared for the realities of a complex world. Maybe too controlled by people more interested in their own careers than in serving this country to the best of their abilities. Maybe too naive and too loyal to those who were given jobs because of their support, but were not competent. But, he has always been gracious. He has done what he felt was right to protect this country. He did not sell it to China, nor sell out our allies.

Pres. Obama is entering office with a similar attitude. He believes the media hype and will come in thinking that he will change the world. But, the world will change him. We don’t know what he will face or what events will shape his presidency. What we do know is that we are all in this together. We all succeed or fail together. President Bush will leave office with little love of the people, both at home and abroad. So be it. But there is a higher power that knows his heart, and that judge will be more forgiving than those judging him so harshly now.

I pray that God will bless him. He deserves his rest. This generation will never understand the enormous sacrifices he has made on their behalf, nor will they appreciate the safety he afforded them after the greatest attack this country ever faced from a foreign enemy.

I've posted that it was a joke on two threads now. Methinks some OS just have selective reading.

..but I did venture over to their thread again last night after reading loco's report. :scared1:

Actually, I think this  is better. They really were going on and on about BO and saying that stuff that loco said: "relations with Barack Obama and lie awake in our beds at night looking at our husbands who just don't measure up to him" (is there a throw-up smile?)and they were on yet another Palin bash fest.

Trust me when I tell you that you do NOT want to peek over there this morning. They're now discussing, ummm, "relations" with GWB, and it really has taken a turn to the depraved. It's like endless confirmation of why I could never, ever join that political party. There's just no filter for those folks. They'll say anything. They'll demean anything. I really don't know how good people (and there are some) who belong to that party reconcile themselves to its excesses. I suppose they just say something along the lines of "Well, yeah, that's disgusting, but YOUR party does this…"
