Whats goin on all? Well, my family is trying to book a resort that fits our small needs and its so complicated! We're becoming hopeless and hopeless is not something you want to feel when it comes to Disney World. =/ My father has been promising my two sisters and I that we'd go directly after my 5th grade year. My mom finally told him that if it took her sneaking out to the computer in the middle of the night with their credit cards and booking and planning, she'd do it because he has broken his promises and our hearts each year since. (It will now be the summer after my 10th grade year.) Anyway, what we're trying to find is some sort of resort thats $250 or less per night, with one room, but divided into two parts, so that my parents could have a bed and there would be two beds on the other half. We plan to stay May 28th through June 6th of 2005. Disibilities included. Water/pool side view if at all possible. There's 2 adults and 3 children. Also, we want to try to include that with airline prices. Also, my mom keeps telling me to post on these things about military discount. She is military and can get it. So, please, if anyone could help in the least, refer a resort, anything, it would help greatly. Thank you very much!!

Well I don't think they have something like one room divided in two..BUT they offer adjoining rooms that are connected with a door that can be opened or closed. You can stay at a value resort and pay around $ 200 a night for 2 rooms (depending on season). They also have Shades of Green which is a military resort...they offer steep discounts for people in the service. Although this is not a "theme" resort it is on property and you can enjoy all wdw resort benefits like early magic hour and transportation to the parks.

Try magic your way package...go online to www.waltdisneyworld.com ..you can get your tickets, hotel (not shades of green) and create a package that suits your family. If you do this disney will pick you up from the airport for free on Magic express! you can add dining which will include 1 counter service, 1 snack and 1 table service meal per person per day for lioke $30 a person.

for a cheap lights i suggest southwest, jetblue or song ...all have websites! good luck

What about the Doubletree Suites in Downtown Disney. Still close enough to everything and it's a suite hotel. Separate bedrooms, plus a kitchen. I checked out their website and plugged in the dates you mentioned. They offer a military rate of $116 per night. Here's the website if you want to check them out, Doubletree and another one with more details about the Downtown Disney hotels .

Lizzie, do a search for Shades of Green. You will find many posts about the resort and how to find more information. This may be a good resort for your family.

Good luck!

My family has stayed at the holiday inn that's being converted to the nick hotel. It's got plenty of room. And even though you are a teenager, i think the kid bunk beds would work...i think they are regular twin size. Parents have their own room with door. There is also a roll-away. You may be able to get a two bedroom suite as well. :sunny:

We were there in oct. Rooms were clean. Paint is in loud colors. ..but the space is fantastic! Keep checking mousesavers to see if a discount comes up that would cut costs!

good luck!

Another vote for Shades of Green here REALLY good rates, possibly adjoining rooms...mini fridge in every room!

flights can be booked on southwest fairly cheap as well as jet blue!

I don't know what the number is, but there is a military clearing house available for off-site condos. Does another board member know the name or number? I've heard some unbelievable rates for week-long stays. And of course you get discounts on tickets! Let mousesavers be your friend excellent info for the thrifty!

We stayed at Shades of Green before the renovations and our room was huge. Try there with your moms military grade to see what rate you can get.

Well, yeah, heh. Figures. I should have mentioned this in the first place. Shades of Green is where we researched a whole lot and when we went to book it, all rooms were full. We found Shades of Green right off, but, now that thats out of the choice, thats why we're all cramming stuff in last minute and might not be able to go. =/ But thank you all very much for your help. It was great! I'll have to start looking into things! =)

Here is the number for Shades of Green they are located inside Disney property.. Tell your mom to give them a call over the week.

888-593-2242, Monday through Friday, 0830-1700

Hope this helps!!! :flower3:

If Shades of Green is booked, you are entitled to military 'overflow' rates at Disney Resorts, similar to the rates you would pay at Shades of Green. I suggest you get on the phone with SoG pronto and discuss your options.

Next, have your mother give your father a safe, effective sedative and gain access to his wallet. Book all your reservations while he snoozes and don't let him know you're going until it's a done deal.

Good luck! :scratchin
