The maintenance fees you pay per year per point can and will go up. So the initial investment of the points is the cheap part but over the years the maint. fees really add up and they keep going up.
thats what stinks...42,000. we will still get to stay at dvc..just not as often as I wanted to...there is one person selling 1000 points for 80,000...can you imagine the fees on that sucker!!!!!!!

true, but don't forget we already get a hefty savings with the interline discount...if he was to leave the job then we would just add on points..for now its just throwing away money...that is why we are going to take a smaller package...interline now even gets meals
So interline comes with his job. If you don't mind my asking............what is interline, and what kind of discounts do you get?

Well so far that is looking pretty darn good!! Yummy!!!

Did you make pumpkin bars today?
Oooo, no. I need to buy cream cheese, I think I had everything else. I need to run the boy to the orthodontist after school, so maybe we'll stop by the store after that for the cream cheese.

Ugh. I hate going to the store with both the little monsters. If they're not squabbling, they're begging for something. Makes me want to scream, "Again, NO! Now go fight with your brother again!" :lmao:

But one does what one must, eh? Besides, this would be a quick trip, not like grocery shopping. :thumbsup2

This part I know. I just wonder what the dues increase would be compared to the room price years from now. Especially when you are someone like me, who wants to always stay onsite.

I think Dave and I figured it out one time, when we were first thinking about it. I can't remember the numbers now.

The add says on a average it takes about 7 years to start paying for itself, but I wonder? :confused3

he works for airline so they call the discounts "interline"...we get 40-50% off..and now we can get the DDP

1000 points?!?!?!:scared1:

Me thinks they have a problem. Now wonder they are getting rid of it. To use that much, you'd have to be there constantly. Add air fare and food, and we are talking a few bucks here.

we are still getting one, just not the size package we wanted and not all the years..kinda, let someone else take the bigger loss so to speak.

I don't know, I know we have spent a fortune there the past few years..that is why we started looking into the DVC..

If you read the point chart for a high season it can rack some points on...

Alex, while you were at Costco, did you remember to buy uncooked tortillas?? Yummy yummy!!

I am obsessed with those things now! :sad2:

Ya. To make the most of the points you really need to go off season. Which is not usually the time we like to go.

Our favorite time is around Christmas. I'm willing to fight the crowds, so I can have me some beautiful decorations. :worship: :cloud9:

Noooooo... Was I supposed to?
I don't remember hearing anything about those. UNCOOKED? Where are they, in the frozen case?

Ooooo, we're the perfect people to have DVC then! I'll tell DH!!! :yay: :lmao:

Gina, where do you usually like to stay?/ I think if we ever went back again, I'd go the Poly. Of course if all of our kids were with us, that would be a pretty penny! :sad2:

we will be doing the off season to make the most of our points, and use our discount for the peak season:rolleyes1
