Yeah, but you'd have to come to Kirkland to get it! :lmao:

I never thought about it, of course Kirkland Signature is named after Kirkland, WA. DUH! So how does it feel to have TP, giant bricks of cheese, shampoo, vitamins and diapers named after your hometown?:lmao:

Staley was here earlier but then started to feel punky, so she went to take a nap. I'm hoping she'll pop on in a bit. :)

Gina was here for a bit but then disappeared. She was watching Criminal Minds, so maybe it's gotten intense! :scared1:

I doubt if I'm going to make it up much longer. I stayed up a little late last night and I'm a bit tired. I knew that last weekend was going to catch up with me also. I'm getting better though, used to be if I had a busy weekend then I was really tired by Tuesday, now I seem to make it to Wednesday or Thursday before I get really tired. Maybe by the time I'm 70 I'll be fully recuperated and able to party all weekend without getting to tired to work.

I am starving, bean soup sounds good. I cook like that. They said it was going to be cool (or I thought it did) yesterday so I got up and made potato soup...it was so good...but to hot out for it...time to get chili and a few other's made to freeze.

I recorded my show on dvr, because the president came on and assured me my money was safe with him.:sad2: criminal minds was good...and I started watching csi ny

The bean soup and cornbread sounds so yummy! Of course, I haven't had dinner yet (crockpot started too late) but it's ready now. I hope it tastes good! (We fed the kids earlier, and DH just ate cereal for dinner.)

Good night, you two. :cloud9: :cloud9:

I'm going to grab some dinner. I hope it tastes good. :scared:

Sounds yummy. Guess that means I'm ready for fall now!

We started moving our money around to several different banks at work today. That way if one bank goes under, then we will only lose say 20% of our money, not all of it. This economic thing is getting pretty scary.

Good night, you two. :cloud9: :cloud9:

Have a good dinner Alex!

I think I'm going to head to bed now ladies. Have a Good Night Gina & Alex. Sorry to leave you all alone Gina, but my eyelids they are a droopin!:cloud9:

Oh and a Big Good Morning Hyenas!:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes May all your Vibes be Good today and your Underwear not Ride up your Rear!:) :) :)

:lmao: :lmao:

His latest comment: WTH WOMAN?? They won't pick up our garbage and we can't crap!!!!!:lmao: :rotfl2:

:scared1:

We really eat different here according to the season. Summer is more bbq, sandwiches, salads, tacos, etc...I don't cook a lot in the summer. But once it start getting colder I go more for the comfort food...beans, meatloaf, spaghetti.

I wonder if people in warmer climates do that or if it's just a north thing? Or perhaps it's just an Alison thing and I'm totally crazy??:confused3

hmm, nope we do that too. Last year I was craving soup in the fall, but fall in Moreno Valley emant 100 degree weather-- kinda not soup friendly. But we had it when the rains (short lived) started.

I refuse to bake anything until the temp drops, today would have been a good baking day -- it was chilly with the windows open, brrrrr.

Kind of a quiet night here. Looks like everyone made it here early. Of course I was on here early last night and nobody was here.

I felt icky yesterday, we ate out at a local place for lunch - wasn't very good. Plus it was hot in the apartment, rain muggy, snunshine, rain.. it was a weird day.

It was also kinda of a bummer day, hubby and I had to fight the tears after dropping off DNTheMarine at the airport. He leaves for Iraq in two weeks. :sad1:

Sorry guys.

Had to look for it, and then get something else done.

PUMPKIN BARS

3/4 c. butter, softened
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 c. pumpkin
2 c. flour
1 t. soda
2 t. baking powder
1/2 t. cinnamon

Mix all together. Bake in greased 11" X 15" pan. 40 minutes @ 325*

Frosting

1 (8oz.) cream cheese
2 T. butter
1 T. milk
1 t. vanilla
3 c. powdered sugar.

Cream together and spread on cooled bars.

Yummy. Especially the next day. (Note: I think I have added a little nutmeg and cloves too.)

Here is another recipe I used last year for the first time. I had so many requests for this recipe after the party.

Sweet Pumpkin Dip

2 pkgs. (8oz.) cream cheese, softened
1 can (15oz.) pumpkin
2 cups powdered sugar
2 t. cinnamon
2 t. ginger
1/4 t. nutmeg
dash all spice and cloves each

Beat all together. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour. May be stored a few days in advance.

Serve with sliced apples, bite size cinnamon grahan crackers, Lavosh Cinnamon crackers, toasted mini-bagels, toast slices, muffins, or English muffins.

Yummy! Thanks for the recipes Melody! I want to try making those and I'm sure my older sister would like it too. :goodvibes

Hi Sarah! How are you?

I went to the kitchen, with my phone , took a picture, put the text message...got milk on it...and sent it to him:lmao: :lmao:

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

Oh, please. That's what ALL the husbands say. Tell him he needs to be more original. :lmao:

DH was really wigged out when we were planning a trip to DL and a few hyenas were going to be there. Once he saw everyone he relaxed. It was G, dizzy, Staley... Gosh! There were more folks there (and TONS of kids), but I'm not remembering. Pix... Who else, girl?

ETA: I'm talking about that time we met up at the Redwood Creek Trail... I think that was Oct. 2007?

Dizzy was there too :goodvibes I remember we were laughing because her DS's pants kept falling down as he was running around and he kept stopping to pull them up. :rotfl2:

Pix was there.. I think that was all of us. Then he went on GRR with my hubby and Dizzy.. and the little beasties.

Oddly.. My husband was totally fine with meeting up with everyone.. Maybe he was hoping one of you were a man, and would kidnap me and solve ALL his problems. :lmao: :lmao:

We just sat on that wall and walked around while the kids were running around. I remember your DH's were all chasing after the kids while we were all chatting. :rotfl:

I'm sorry you aren't feeling well Bernice. I hope you feel better by tomorrow! :grouphug:

Wow. Just got off the phone from a loooooong call from one of my best friends. She is struggling with something and just wanted to talk about it, so I listened, and we joked a bit. I hope it helped her.

So now everybody's gone?

Aww....that's cool that you cheered up your friend. :flower3:

I'm still here :cheer2:

Ehhh... I don't know if I necessarily cheered her up, but I think it helped just to talk.

We were all supposed to have our monthly Girls Night Out last Friday, but they were all busy and I was kinda tired anyway. So now we're trying to reschedule for this Friday or Saturday. She's not sure she can make it, though.

DANG IT! I missed Criminal Minds. I really wanted to see that, and I checked online, they don't show full episodes, I guess. Pooh!

I've never heard of that show. My cousins made me watch Dr. G on Discovery Health. She's a coroner and some parts I could not handle and had to close my eyes :scared:

I used to watch a pathology show years ago. I don't know why, but I found it fascinating. :rotfl:

Hookay, time for me to get to bed.

Have a good night, pixster! :cloud9:
