Good Morning!:goodvibes

Today is my day to help my oldest DD in her classroom. I get to help the kids make a patchwork quilt from the story the "Keeping Quilt," by Patricia Palacco. She is one of my favorite authors. Other ones I love by her are "Just Plain Fancy," and "Babushka's Doll."

Hope everyone has a great day! :flower3:

Have fun Melody. That sounds like a great time.

I'm helping Jake's class celebrate the birthday of Johnny Appleseed so we have a lot of apple projects today. Should be messy!!!

Last night Jake's football coach yelled in the middle of practice "Would Jake's parents stand up" We were like What in the world but we stood up. Coach picks Jake up, who is one of 3 smaller guys on the team, lifts him up over his head and SCREAMS "Do you see him rushing? He's getting it, he's getting it like the big boys, way to go Jake!" Then shakes him all over til he's laughing his head off and puts him down. Then he yelled out "Gentlemen, lets all play like Jake has today, give 110%" :cool1:

Being the little guy without an official position that meant a lot to Jake to get noticed. They are always talking about the 7 year olds but he recognized Jake's effort in chasing the opposing team during scrimmage down. :thumbsup2 Jake is not as fast as the older kids obviously and never actually caught a flag but the coach just wants them to try their hardest each time and he's recognizing Jake for it. YEAH. What a confidence booster that was for him!!! :yay: :yay: :yay:

I used to watch a pathology show years ago. I don't know why, but I found it fascinating. :rotfl:

Did I ever tell you that I considered becoming a mortician? No kidding!! I have always been fascinated in the human body. But obviously becoming a coroner means going to medical school. One of the community colleges over in Portland has a mortician degree. So I spoke with them about entering the program at one time, but just never took it any further. Not really sure why??:confused3

Anyway, I love watching the coroner shows, Dr. G is one of my favorites and I'm totally fascinated with the medical/trauma shows. I've always said in my next life I am going to come back as a coroner or surgeon.:thumbsup2

Good Morning Sweet Hyenas! I hope everyone starts the day with a smile on their face and a song in their heart.:) :) :)

I also want to say how fortunate I am to have you all as friends. It's easy to take those around us for granted, but you really are a great bunch of ladies.:grouphug:

You'll have to forgive my sappiness this week. Obviously meeting with a large group of breast cancer survivors has brought some feelings to the surface and once again made me realize how lucky I am in so many ways.
This week I feel very energized and have this urge to do cartwheels down the hallway in my office building (yes, I've done that before!).

So everyone have a Beautiful Day! :flower3: :flower3: :flower3: :hippie:

Melody...hope you have a great day at your DD's class. That sounds like such a fun thing to do.

Shawna...WOW! What a great coach your son has. Every child should be made to feel that special.

Good morning, hyenas!
Overcast. But NOT raining, at least for the moment. :rotfl:

That is a great coach! What an awesome story! :thumbsup2

You did tell me, actually. That's funny that you went so far as to look into it, but didn't do anything further. :)

I don't think I could be a coroner or mortician. I barely got through the frog dissection in jr. high, so I don't know why I like to watch that kind of thing. :rotfl:

And it is different somehow with a human. It's not that I believe in ghosts or anything, but I guess I do have an active imagination. :rotfl2:

Right back atcha, baby!

You ARE an impressive group of women. I was thinking the other day about why I seem to connect with one person, not with another. Especially when, at least on the surface, the one I didn't connect with seems to have more in common with me than the other. :confused3

I think, at least for me, it has to do with:
Intelligence ~ You are all very intelligent. Sometimes we get into some deep subjects, and you all speak well and from the heart.
Humor ~ OMG, you make me laugh! Some days it means the most to me.
Heart ~ I'm not sure quite how to say it, but you are THERE for one another. You care, you try, and you support one another.

OK, there's my sappy moment for the day. :rotfl:

Have a great day, everyone! :yay:

Good Morning Hyenas!

Yesterday we received a notice that an important customer would be visiting our office today. We were all frantically cleaning our desks and organizing things. Then this morning we were told that their flight was delayed and wouldn't have time to stop by. I made a joke and said: "Does this mean we can throw a party and make a big mess?" :teeth:

One co-worker said: "Ok! Back to normal!" and threw a stack of papers on his desk. :rotfl:

Also I was greeted by a fat black beetle or cockroach when I went to the supply room! My co worker caught it with a trash can and smooshed it with a foam board. :faint:

My bf is still sick but he was given antibiotics. I'm hoping it will help. He still seems to have a fever. :(

Wow, you coulda shipped that thing to DS4's classroom and they woulda had a discussion about it! :lmao:

OK, I'm off to Costco now.

No, really. I am! I know I said I was going the past two days, but I just didn't make it. So now I AM. RIGHT NOW!!! :rotfl:

Wow, you coulda shipped that thing to DS4's classroom and they woulda had a discussion about it! :lmao:

LOL! The problem with that is that if I ship one, by the time the package arrives there may be hundreds inside! :scared:

My dog is moping. I got down our suitcases because I well, I wanted to :rotfl2: and she is really pouting now. I have a feeling she will eat some drywall before the day is over. I will pay for this. I know I will. :rolleyes1

I was just informed that by the time we pay the fees alone on this DVC for 50 years we will have paid 10's of thousands ...I am not kidding...:scared1:

suddenly 200 points just isn't sounding so good.

we have now decided to just find a tiny resale point pack and then we get the perks and a few days here and there....

I had never sat down and figured it out..but my FA did...not such good news..infact .. he thinks we are idiots:mad:

Alex, dont read my ticker :woohoo:
I've come to terms with the ticker. The ticker and I have an understanding now. The ticker knows it's nothing personal. And I know I'm still in double digits before The Big Day. :rotfl:

Gina, that is what we were thinking too. I mean forget the $16 or so grand to get the min amount of points but its the maint fees each year that add up. :scared1:

OK, I'll bite: What's a "FA"? I know DF and FIL, so can't be those... I can think of other things that it could stand for, but let's just say those don't typically do math. :rotfl2:

Oh thank God. I had to change it back. I was getting depression looking at it. It was no longer a joke. I thought I wasnt going for 3 years one day. I almost went crazy. The ticker is real. :lmao:

Our cat gets very cuddly and clingy when we get the suitcases out. Normally she sleeps a lot during the day, but if the suitcases are out, she's either in one, trying to get in one, or hanging on your leg. :lmao:

Now, if I get the cat carrier out, she is nowhere to be found. I mean it, I CANNOT FIND HER ANYWHERE! She's had a few good hiding spots that had us searching the entire house for about 15 minutes! :rotfl:

Yes, I forget what all the stages of grief are, but I'm in the resignation phase. :rotfl:
