do you know they make one of the little girls sleep in the basement...wth....I think collin is a doll.

I think I remember them mentioning that once. I think she sleeps better by herself where it is quiet. I guess technically Jon & Kate's bedroom on the mail floor is closer to her than the rest of the kids that sleep upstairs. But still I haven't noticed any windows down there for a fire escape.:confused3

Is it just me or do those kids seem exceptionally whiny? I understand it would be more difficult with that many kids. But sometimes I just wish they would make them quit whining and crying. Even the older girls seem very whiny for their age, although I think they do it more for attention than anything.

Yes and yes, but I detest winey kids in general.

Our home is a no whine zone.

see I was debating returning to preschool ed/child care.. but not usre if my heart is in it anymore.

My patience is not what it use to be.. I get grumbly and irritable when I hear kids cry and tantrum... or even grown up people acting like dorks -- makes me want to steam out my ears.

yea, I don't think that there is a window myself....I mean you know...I sleep better with everyone gone...but I am not sticking them in the yard to sleep.:lmao:

Alex, aren't you happy that you went and talked to your DS's teacher? So glad that it sounds like she might work out after all. :goodvibes Hopefully, this will continue throughout the year. :thumbsup2
I feel a bit stupid about the whole thing, actually, but thanks for asking. :rotfl:

No, I am glad I got it all off my chest. I feel a bit foolish for believing some of the things I was told... but how was I to know? Why would I expect people to exaggerate/not be truthful? :confused3

I'm just glad she was so great about talking it through. She could have been a bit prickly about the whole thing, you know? But she wasn't in the least, and she was totally honest and open, and that meant the world to me. :)

how would you like to go to walmart with her!!!!, that poor husband...DH saw the one in the store where she went nuts and was like...I would leave her there....:lmao:

I hear that! You whine, you go to your room and whine to yourself. I dont mind crying.... If you are half dead, or something is REALLY wrong. But for no reason? Ill give you a reason.

Cool, just gotta keep the pee line away from any vicsious cat teeth

:lmao:

ooo which reminds me.. NxStage never sent the new water line. It's a pain, gotta push the machine halfway out of our room and then the line is stretched taut that we can't close the bathroom door.

After the fill is done (6 hours) we work together to push the combined weight of 50 liters of fluid and a 50 pound machine back into place.. the carpet is mighty unhappy, getting bunchy in that corner-- oops!

Wow, that's quite the workout. But still probably a lot better doing it in the privacy of your own home rather than having to go somewhere to have it done. I can remember during chemo lined up in chairs & beds, not much fun or privacy. It also was very scary seeing people in the end stages of cancer, not really what someone wants to see when battling cancer. Plus they encourage you to drink lots of fluids during infusion, so numerous trips to the bathroom with bags of poison hanging everywhere. I'm so graceful I was always tripping all over the lines and tangling things up.:lmao:

YES. They are supper whiny! I can imagine that they are fighting for attention, but one of the older girls, Mady, is just a freaking BRAT. Always having to have her own way, and fights with the little kids, and throwing fits all over the place! She is SEVEN!!

Someone posted on the DIS a while back that they were in the Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique when they did their WDW trip. They said it was Kate and the older girls and both of the girls were throwing a tantrum/fit and Kate was yelling at them, it was just total chaos.:lmao: They said she acts way nicer on tv! But then again I was kind of sticking up for her...after all I have my Main Street Magical Meltdown on every Disney trip.:lmao: :thumbsup2

It's sad day in the DL forum!:sad1:

Hydroguy is getting attacked for writing his TIPs compilation thread.

There are some who think he doesn't know what he is talking about, cuz he doesn't go to DL as much as they do. :snooty:

Don't they realize all of the hours he has put into it? I'd like to see some of them take the time and do a spreadsheet on DL.

And he has never said it was gospel. It is just suppose to help the posters who have never been to DL.

I am upset! :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:
That's absurd! Who dares??? Link, please...

I KNOW!!!! She is freaking crazy!

I saw that! I have heard all kinds of stories about she acts. They just make me shake my head sometimes. Her girls are going to grow and be IMPOSSIBLE.

Im BACK! From the store. My life is ever so exciting right now. :lmao: My kids are sitting on the couch eating donuts. YEP. Thats right. I said it.... My kids are sitting on the COUCH, eating DONUTS. They might as well have something yummy, even though I cant.

So.... funny story. We went to Taco Del Mar the other day and the woman was taking FOREVER. Really... She was SO SLOW. I was hungry. VERY HUNGRY. You know.... angry pregnant hungry. :lmao: I was getting SO MAD at this woman, my husband was ACTUALLY holding me back from jumping over the counter. :lmao: And he didnt even bat an eye. Now THATS why I married him. :rotfl2: When I flip out on the taco lady, he just nods and smiles... and holds me back. :lmao:
Damn. You owe me some Windex. :lmao:

Although given some of the people I've seen in Walmart lately...I think she might fit right in!:lmao:

Somehow I have the feeling we'll be seeing the girls sometime in the future on their own show...Bridezillas!:rotfl2:

I hate this computer. It's so slow.

I feel sorry for anyone taking care of 8 kids all day long

My mom runs her own day care. I don't know how she does it. I hated it growing up, I had to share everything including my mom.

Not to worry, I slept through both macro & micro economics and still managed to get an A in both of them. It really all boils down to 3 main points...all other things remaining equal....supply....demand. Of course I guess that's why I didn't become an economist. Actually my economics instructor died during macro econ. I believe he may have bored himself to death. EGAD...that was horrible of me to say, but he was really old and VERY boring. :rotfl:
 :rotfl2:

Oh for pete's sake! I just got the dang monitor cleaned up after Staley's comment!:rotfl:

Awww:hug: I know my daycare lady used to have a separate room for her daycare, those toys were for everyone. Her children's rooms were at the other end of the house and their rooms and toys were off limits unless they invited one of the daycare kids in there. I always thought that was a good idea.

yep, not dealing with incompetent staff dropping gloves on the floor and then using them while working on your blood line is really nice. :thumbsup2

I was teasing him yesterday, he asked for his blanket and as I covered him up I reminded/chastised him in a not-so-nice nursey voice "now don't cover your access site with the blanket"

In center they are very particular, they don't want you to cover the acess site for fear the needles will move and they won't see it. umm, those suckers are not going anywhere.. two pieces of tape on each line plus a bandaid on the puncture site plus another bit of tape to hold all the lines on his shoulder.. it takes a bit of efort to rip it all off.

I would expect her to be in a nut house:lmao: but I really think kate is going to cause those kids to have issues..:lmao: she is just so loud...I think that is what it is...

aww  I worried about that when my kids were small, we did unlicensed home school age care for one summer until I just was fed up with the mom that I was trying to help out. All of it encroached into our daily life.

The boys had to share me with two classes of 18 smiley head start kids for 8 hours out of my our day.. but that was fun for them when they could come to meetings and play with all the toys at "mom's work"
:goodvibes
