Yeah, I've seen those, too.

I got the idea this was a newish thing Costco was offering, with the gift card... no?

I am pretty sure they have had APs for a while.. The gift card thing is just a promotion. Dizzy said she called the stores in Arizona, and they dont carry them.

Hmmm... I wonder if pix could check into that for me. If it's SoCal APs, not interested; but if it's the regular AP, no reason why I couldn't ask her to buy me 4, right? And then we'd get the 4 gift cards, if I'm reading right?

Did Dizzy see that on a DL thread? Might have to wander over there and see if I can find it...

I dont see why not. Dizy posted it over on the Dl board.

Last week when DS4 and I were walking into his school, he looked down at some leaves on the ground, and all of a sudden shouted, "Mama! Acorns!" I looked down and sure enough, there were acorns and oak leaves!

I was surprised he knew what they were, then guessed it's probably from watching Winnie the Pooh ("haycorns"), or maybe even the Chip & Dale cartoons when we were at the DLH. :lmao:

He scooped up a few and took them in to show his teacher, he was SO EXCITED! :rotfl:

Then every day he wanted to search for some more on the walk in to class. I think in the meantime the groundskeeping folks had come through and cleaned up, so there weren't too many. Either that, or the squirrels (or other kids!) cleaned 'em out! :rotfl2:

Thanks! At least one person anyway sounded like it was a national thing, not just a Cal. thing. :woohoo:

I just went to the Costco site, but nothing on there, darn it! :rolleyes1

The contractors are heading out for the day. I guess that's good that they won't be going too late; once we had a contractor stay until 8:30 or 9, well after dark and past the kids' bedtime!

So they will be back tomorrow to finish up, which is fine. :)

I was just looking at airfare. I think last time we spent around $100 each way (I know, it was a deal) but the best I could find this time was $159 each way to LGB or $189 to SNA. {sigh} :guilty:

I know. Air fare has gone way up. Do you have enough airlines miles for a free trip yet?

DH told me yesterday that there are potential business trips each month in the next 3 - 4 months, the first coming up in a few weeks. Some are more likely than others, but if he winds up having to do all of them, wow!

DS8 especially hates it when Daddy isn't home, it's kind of surprising, really. I think it's because Daddy typically tucks him into bed, he just kisses me good night and then heads off to bed with DH. DS4 usually heads off to bed when DH retires (I know, that's gonna be such a hard habit to break!), but will go to bed by himself when DH isn't home. He either sleeps on the floor in DS8's room, or crawls into my bed and crashes before I get there. :rotfl:

Bummer about the business trips...

When you put in for the FFM, you set up an account for each member of the family, right? Your balance should be right on that page when you log in.

Hey! Somebody posted on dizzy's thread that they are supposed to be offering the AP deal on costco.com shortly, they just did'nt know how soon. COOL!!!! :cool1:

I get emailed 'statements' with the balance, I've just never been able to figure out how many airmiles are required for a particular trip. :confused3

My guess is that we do not yet have enough, because DH and DS8 have only been on 2 trips since we got the airmiles, and DS4 and I three.

If you go on their website, and pick out that you want to use miles, instead of paying cash... it will show you how many miles you need. No, it doesnt sound like you have enough miles for anything. I forget that since our debit card is linked to our miles account that we rack up the miles much faster.

Oooo, I did forget something! DH has an AMEX cc that has tons of points on it. I think we can use those points on airfare, I just don't know if Alaska is one of the airlines. I should check into that! :thumbsup2

Or have HIM check into that, I guess. Because it's his cc, last time I tried to look up stuff it wouldn't let me. :lmao:

Does it seem like the time on your PG is just flying by? I just noticed on your ticker that you're at 14 weeks tomorrow!
