Of course the winner will be Geraldo. These celebrity ones are so easy to call. They are all business transactions. When Arsenio beat Clay (who clearly won) it was because Arsenio had a new show coming out. When Joan (who I really do love) beat Annie Duke she had a new jewelry line on Qvc.
Early on in the season they said Geraldo had a new show coming to the news so of course he will win. In reality, I think he should have been fired a long time ago...as a matter of fact, if we worked for me in my department I would have fired him twice already.
My guess is Geraldo for a winner...
I agree in that Trump seems to pick people who have something big happening in their career, but also: something HE can benefit from if possible.
The first season, Trace Adkins did an incredible job, he proved to be a darling, and the show really helped his career by giving him more mainstream publicity than just with his country music fans. Trump said his song went to number #1 after being in his show. Not knowing much about Trace, it might have done that anyway. But he also got to promote his own charity. However: HE can't do much for Trump. The second time he was on (in which he won,) he promoted the American Red Cross. Now, he's doing commercials for the Wounded Warrior Project. So he's been able to propel his time on the show to charities really close to his heart. And Trump made out well, as Trace was the
other guy who should/could have won the first season, and did win a season in the end.
Piers Morgan, who did win the first season, had his own talk show about to air on CNN
and Trump could make appearances on the show.
When Arsenio won, he also had a show about to air in which Trump could also make guest appearances.
Joan, having been a fashion jewelry designer, always had a new line come out. But, she was one of the hosts of the Fashion Police on E! And Trump, although he was a personal friend to her, probably didn't want her saying bad things about his wife when she was on any Red Carpets.

And he was able to reach a hipper audience and maybe pull them in.
Clay Aiken, as wonderful a voice he has and as sweet as he is, AND he brought in more money than Arsenio, the ONLY thing he could offer Trump is free tickets to some Broadway show he may star in. Not the kind of payback Trump ultimately looks for. He's
always making a deal, to do a play on words of his book,
The Art of the Deal.
I'm going to go against the Geraldo theories and say Leeza is going to win it all. What does she do now? Is she still on ET or one of those shows?
Unless she also has a new talk show coming out, I don't think she's done much other than host various infomercials.

She was one of the first infomercial hosts decades ago, when she did Tony Robbins' Personal Power cassettes - which is probably where she learned a lot of her wonderful abilities to strategize and speak well of everyone - if she wasn't already doing that.
Whereas Geraldo is everywhere that will hire him to do ANY talking and promoting. He's always on
something. If he's on something now, then Trump can be on it.
The only way I see Vivica winning or even having a chance is if she's got a movie coming out with Denzel Washington or another Academy Award A-Lister, in which she will be able to invite Trump to the premiere and he can show off his trophy wife on the Red Carpet with the winner of the Celebrity Apprentice. I would think that kind of publicity would trump a smaller appearance on a Geraldo talk show. (No pun intended.
