The Celebrity Apprentice 2

This is the event planner:

http://www.davidtutera.com/

He's on TCL(those wedding shows) all the time. I was waiting for Trump to say that the "quitting" was part of the challenge....I guess not! LOL!

I don't think it was part of the challenge. I think that David Turera - whom I liked okay before this but have lost some respect for - tried to phone it in. His assistant was doing a fabulous job for Annie but his ideas were canned. They were from the wedding collection he designed for Disney. The white draperies and big lighted balls are the signature pieces from one of his "David Tutera Wedding Packages" with Walt Disney World Weddings. There was a special on TV and I saw it. From what I could tell he gave Joan absolutely no orginal ideas, or any ideas that had anything to do with Kodac or God's Love We Deliver. I don't think Joan had any choice in doing what she did.

Annie is Jewish, too.

I can't imagine what show people were watching who think that Joan's behavior was anything but horrifying from the moment she looked at Clint Black on screen (who wasn't even on her team) and sneered that he was a snake. And Miss "it's all about the hungry people with AIDS" was the one who a couple of weeks ago laughed when Brande (?) said the important thing was the charity fundraising and snarled that the competition had NOTHING whatsoever to do with charity -- nothing at all! (Guess she saw that that was a bad move and did her best to counteract it)

Annie is a braggart and annoying, but she has more class in her pinkie finger than Joan Rivers has in her entire body. It's amusing how Joan looks down on poker players and casino folks when she built her career in comedy clubs, which were mobbed up long after Las Vegas cleaned up its act.

She also needs to learn how to pronounce the world "jewelry."

All in all, she's a classless woman with a classless daughter. I think she's done far more damage to her career than she realizes.

I lost a lot of respect for Joan during this show.

She took things WAY too personally. Going on and on about Clint and then Annie. Take a chill pill old lady. I really didnt think Annie did anything terrible during the show to make Joan so upset.

And the whole decorator thing??!! Why was Joan so insistent on calling Annie a liar about that? He DID quit because of Joan-wasnt that pretty apparant? Annie shows up to her appointment and is told to leave and was totally clueless as to what was going on. I kept waiting for Donald to say to Joan, yes you were the reason he quit. That fact that he didnt say that means to me that Joan was his winning pick from the get go. And when he told Annie that she said bad things about Joan as well-bull crap. Yes, she said she wanted her to die and be crushed, but jeez that was after being called Hitler and every other name Joan could think of. I'd think I would say that about the lady too if I was called those names.

She wasnt even funny most of the time. What was that joke about taking Annie to Gucci supposed to mean? And Melissa-yuck. Her looking so smug about their brillant plan to pick Melissa last. Oh wow-what a plan...

At least Annie raised more than the 250K prize for her charity anyway.

Stupid show.
Stupid me for watching it.

Well I am not happy. I did not want Joan to win. I actually like her allot on QVC. She is a totally different Joan when she is selling her jewelery. This Joan just disgusts me. The screaming and yelling by Joan about everything and everyone was over the top from the moment the show started. :headache:

Oh well..............

As the OP, of this thread I would like to thank everyone for stopping by and posting. As it looks like the Donald said the C.A. signed for another season....we will look for that in the near future. :happytv:

Well ... double crap. I usually watch the show online Monday morning but NBC doesn't have the final episode online so I could only watch the "Key Moments" and "Bonus Scenes", including the final winner scene. What a let down. I can't believe that he picked Joan. The thing that really bugs me is that if Trump was really hiring for his own staff he would never have selected Joan over Annie. She was so unnecessarily nasty and difficult to work with though out the whole show. So, why the heck did he pick Joan?

So, Joan's charity gets 250K. Does Joan get anything else other than bragging rights? I certainly hope not.

I watched Joan on Regis this morning.

She said she didn't know what happened with the designer. There was no more to it , only that phone call we saw. :confused3

She also said that Annie and her friends were not nice to her after the show. Joan said if they won they would have still been nice to her and then joked about giving her two fingers instead of one for peace. I guess Annie or friend gave Joan's crew the finger.

I just take all Joan's insults etc as her comic background....she has done the insults for years as jokes.

Her charity spent the money on new ovens and a new van.

Forgot to say she also said she never quit....when Kelly asked her about that.

I'm glad Joan won... funny how they (Joan and Melissa) played Annie at the beginning of the challenge - when teams were chosen - everyone, Annie included, assumed Melissa would be the first pick :-) Melissa said they planned for her (M) to be the last pick. How insane would it have been if Annie had turned the tables and picked Melissa?!

It seemed that many of the other players really felt Joan should win, even with the name calling, etc. That is very telling of what we didn't see.

I agree w/ all of the above. I also thought I noticed the audience was much warmer to Joan then they were to Annie.

Before the show, I didn't care about Joan one way or the other. Now, I CAN'T STAND the woman or her immature daughter! I didn't much care for Annie either, but I would have easily picked her over Joan for the winner. I didn't even know who Annie was prior to the show, so I think it helped her.

I think there is a difference between making pointed jokes and funny insults and what Joan did to the other CA players. Joan was not "roasting" Annie ... she was flaming her.

Now ... I think the whole "two fingers instead of one for peace" sounds like a pretty funny joke and more along the lines of what I expect from Joan Rivers. Whether Annie or her friends really gave her the finger is debatable ... I certainly wouldn't believe it solely based on a Joan Rivers joke.

Very telling.

Tionne does a segment weekly about her experience on the show on Tom Joyner's show. She repeatedly talked about how much work they did to get the task done and how hard Joan worked. She said Annie worked harder on how much TV time she could get. She said she was mean, unnecessarily rude and catty. In my world, that kind of subtle nastiness is MUCH worse than brutal honestly.

Forgot to say she also said she never quit....when Kelly asked her about that.

Hmm..I relooked at the tivo. She said..and I won't be back, when Melissa left. Wouldn't that be qutting? Trouble is, she runs her mouth so much, that she doesn't even realize what she says. She's just nasty nasty nasty. After all she said, she expected Annie to be nice to her at the end? Excuse me..I've said several times, you are like Hitler, who killed with an awful death your people and mine..but please, can't we be friends? Yeah, I would want to be her friend.
Also, professional gambling (and this is coming from a total non gambler) is a profession. It's not the back room behind the newstand. The people playing are not poor welfare folks. For Joan to say they are mafia was again, was just another of her mouth opening, and saying nothing nice. Annie said nothing about comedians as a profession. Some are good, some are bad, just like all people.
I certainly don't think Annie was perfect, but she did seem to know that it isn't nice to call nasty names on national television...especially when it's just said to say it, not because it's true.
We'll have no idea what else Joan might have said to the decorator, either at the hall or on the phone. Joan lives in a dream world and would deny that there was anything more to it. Why on earth would the decorator want to get on Trumps bad side by quitting for the fun of it? Trump can make your life miserable.

What a crappy ending. I hate Joan Rivers now more than ever. She was an awful person to watch and she just made me really mad over the designer thing. He clearly (well, from what the show's editors showed us) quit because of her.

I was really surprised that Trump didn't call Joan on the designer thing. We he not watching his own footage?

Annie raised almost four times as much money as Joan.

As for the next Celebrity Apprentice, lesson learned. I will only watch if it has people I can stand to watch. Bring back Gene Simmons.

Professional prostitution is a profession, too. So is professional OTC drug dealing. :surfweb: And if they WERE "welfare folks" would that make them bad? :confused3

I couldn't stand Joan until I watched this season, now I think she's GREAT! :thumbsup2 Way to go, Joan!!

I only hope I have Joan's stamina at age 75.

I felt like Annie was more of a "I can dish it out but not take it" sort of person.

Also, and this may not be a popular opinion, but I think that Trump just liked Joan's charity better. That was just my perception. He didn't seem to have much to say about Annie's charity.

The thing that really bugs me is that if Trump was really hiring for his own staff he would never have selected Joan over Annie.

If Trump were hiring for his own staff he would hire neither Joan nor Annie. Neither of them had the experience or education to be "the apprentice" like the people from the first shows. IMHO the unprofessional behavior of both finalist would have kept them from actually working for Trump (if they had the experience and education) or at the very lest they would have been fired almost immediately after some of their escapades.

Actually thats they way I feel too. I didn't hate Joan before, but I didn't have a lot of respect for her. I have a lot more respect now. I think Joan either grew during the expirence or has a more mature side that came out during the show.

As for the Hitler comment. Joan didn't compare Annie to Hitler or say she was worse than Hitler. She made the same kind of observation that has been made in many of my leadership classes. Trump said Annie was charismatic (or something similar) and Joan said "so was Hilter". Basically what she was saying is the charisma isn't a charactristic that makes a good leader by itself - with is very true. If I missed another Hilter comment - I might have a change of heart - but if that was the one and only time - I say - Joan was right.

I'm personally hated to see Joan win. Annie should have won in my opinion she raised more money which was the goal of the task, Joan made the designer mad enough that he quit the whole show. Joan made everything personal. I was laughing my butt off when Trump asked Clint who he thought should be fired and he said the editors lol

Actually, it was a five-part task; money was only one part. Annie won 2, Joan won 3 - end of story. The only reason they went through previous tasks on the last season was because it was a four-part task and the finalists tied. There was no tie here.

My perception is that the designer quit because Joan wanted to consult another designer. He was offended and walked. So neither Joan nor Annie had a designer and Joan produced a much better looking event while Annie moaned about how unfair it was.

Annie called Joan a cancer, said she must die, said she was going to crush her. That's not personal?
