Ugh, I can't believe Joan won. Did she bring any money in during the entire show?
Trump said Annie was charming and Joan said so was Hitler. She didn't say that Annie was Hitler and didn't mean to imply that she did anything as horrible as Hitler. Her point was that someone can be evil and still come across looking charming if they want to. She was saying that Trump shouldn't judge Annie because she presents herself as charming.
I think Clint was the most telling when, when asked who he would fire, he said "your editors".
Conversely - do you think Joan will turn around and stab Trump in the back, if the opportunity arises or if it suits her needs, the way Annie seems to as a natural course of action?DMRick said:If he was really hirign someone who would work with him..do ya really think he would have picked Joan?
I'm so glad Joan won. Annie was all about Annie...I I I I. Even in the final project, all she thought about was "humiliating" Joan, and Joan "must die." Tom Greene called her out on it. It wasn't about raising money for charity at all, it was all about beating Joan Rivers. I don't think comparing Annie to Hitler was the right thing to do, but at least she said it in front of Annie and not just behind her back.
Joan did not like the design the owner had planned so she asked if she could bring someone into help him see her vision. The designer didn't like this so he hung up on Joan. Then called back and quit.
So really it wasn't all Joan's fault. Unless they edited something out.

Her point was that someone can be evil and still come across looking charming if they want to. She was saying that Trump shouldn't judge Annie because she presents herself as charming. Annie was very sneaky and Joan knew it. And Joan is Jewish so I am quite sure she is well aware of what Hitler did.
o.
That's a very interesting distinction to make.In fact, the leading security expert in America, (previously to Pres. Reagan, currently Oprah, saved Michael J. Fox and Olivia Newton John from insane stalkers who wanted to torture & kill them,) Gavin de Becker, in his book, The Gift of Fear, talks about the same thing. "To charm" is a verb, not an adjective. It is an action. Ted Bundy charmed a lot of women before getting into their cars & killing them. People who've always been duped by con artists & robbers always say how charming the person was - before they walked off with all their money.
To be clear, NO, I am NOT saying Annie was a Ted Bundy either. Just elaborating on what donnajon said that Joan said.

He's on TCL(those wedding shows) all the time. I was waiting for Trump to say that the "quitting" was part of the challenge....I guess not! LOL!
If the tables were turned and Annie indicated anything about Joan was like Hitler, I don't think Joan would have sat there and continued the game, and I think Trumps reaction would have been much different. Should Annie then want to beat Joan, or even humiliate her? Uh..kettle/pot. Joan tried her best to humiliate Annie through most of this game...it's obvious she really got to her before the last task. Annie was seldom allowed to defend any of her actions. Joan talked over her every time, and Trump allowed it.. And Joan is Jewish so I am quite sure she is well aware of what Hitler did.

Joan walked out when her daughter was fired. Trump has said many times, he hates quitters. Since many feel this was always the Joan/Annie show, I assume that was why Joan was allowed back in the game. I think Trump used Annie. He wanted the money she could bring in, but it was never about her winning. As for the final task, yes, Joan won, but in the past it was cumalative. It was always about what you did in the whole game. If not, why have the final boardroom, since it was already announced that Joan won the final task.
I wonder how easy it will be for Trump/other apprentices to get people to donate large sums of money next time, since the charity money isn't such a big deal according to Trump. Apparently it's really about how outrage/rude your behavior.
But it's just a TV show..shown by the editors how they wanted it to be shown. We'll never know all of what went on..it played out just as Trump wanted it to play. What I really find interesting, is that Joan and Trump are really good friends in real life, and so I wonder, just what we didn't see in the editing of Joan and Melissa's mouths/rudeness.

She defended her homies and attempted to make her profession "moral"...... and will walk away a winner no matter what.
That sounds like something Joan would say and she did. Who's to say Joan's or anyone else's profession is better then Annie's? To call them trash and continue to belittle them was wrong. If Annie said something to Joan about anything being Jewish, she'd be thrown off the show for slander.
I don't gamble at all but insulting someone's lifestyle as you and Joan have done is wrong.
