We'll be in WDW from 10/1 - 10/8. Besides Ophelia, it's so quiet out there. With all the hurricane activty this year and this being a very active hurricane year, I hope this isn't the calm before the storm. I was thinking if nothing shows up on the radar by the 23rd, we may be looking pretty good. :jumping1:
I really hope all of a sudden three tropical depressions don't show up. :scared1:

Well i think the calm before the storm only really refers to when a storm is on the way, there is a calm before it hits :). In this case, there is no storm, so there is not calm before it :) We are leaving the 23rd also and I am watching the weather. But I am certain there will be NOTHING :)

We'll be there too...shortly! Arriving on October 3rd...I will be watching!
Let's keep a post updated for us :-)

Cheers!

We will be there 9/29-10/05. I check the weather constantly to see if something is brewing. Weather underground shows that historicaly that time of year has been real quiet(knock on wood).

Even though hurricane season doesn't officially end until the end of November, the chances of an October storm are very, very slim. I've got my fingers crossed, though- we are going 10/1- 10/8, and I don't want to tempt fate by saying it absolutely can't happen.

We will be there Oct 5 to the 10th...
And Ophelia followed my DB and SIL home. It showed up the day they went down to Florida, and started up towards the Carolinas the day they left... I called them this morning and asked if they had travel plans this weekend. 'Cause I just wanted to know which way Ophelia was headed... SIL has a good sence of humor, thank goodness! BTW, she is not headed north or west, so it will probly stall out....

I bought trip insurance just in case. It was only $30. So I figure if a storm does hit fine, but since I spent 15 Mickey Bars on it we should be fine.

If you can still get the trip insurance it would be a good idea. But read the rules of what is covered. It is not allways worth it. And sometimes you need to buy it when you book the rest of your trip. I have read that it is available seperatly from independant companies.

Hope you all have as much fun as we plan to have!
How many going to MNSSPH? Oct 6 for us! Then Food/Wine on Fri instead of weekend. And Ecpot on Sun to see Off Kilter. Hope they are there.
Might post about that!

We are arriving on Sept 25 departing Oct 1. Last year we rode out Hurricane Jeanne so we feel like we have already paid our dues :rotfl2: . There simply cannot be any storms this trip- Our touring plan is complete and there is no time for them. :goodvibes
