I have kids that are picky eaters. Will they be able to find anything on the buffet in Germany

They'll be fine. Mac & cheese, chicken tenders, and who knows, they may love some of the offerings like pork, schnitzel(think country fried steak with pork instead). And they'll love pretzel bread. But getting them to sit at the table with all the other kids dancing may be the challenge.

The spaetzle is like pasta and the dumplings are potatoes. It's great! I'm a very picky eater and love Biergarten!

I don't think you'll have any problems. There are mac n cheese, hot dogs, roasted potatoes, spaetzle, roast pork, schnitzel(as a PP said...think chicken fried steak), chicken noodle soup, etc. We rarely miss a trip without eating here. Give them little "taste bites" of other things....you never know what they might like!:)

As the PP's said, you should be fine. There's fruit, mac n cheese, roast chicken, lots of kid friendly stuff. My 7 y.o. was perfectly happy with a plate of bratwurst. He loves that stuff.

We ate there for the first time last year. Thought the food was good, for a buffet. Lots of variety for everyone, even pickey eaters. You sit together at long tables (as in Germany) and the restaurant has two 'levels'. We were right next to the band and no problems. It's a laid back atmosphere. Since all our kids are grown, we did ask to be seated at a table with no kids and we accomidated. Glad we went there to mark it off our list.

Biergarten is one of our favorite restaurants on Disney property. And the idea of going down there with DH and not going is not even worth thinking about. While we are both adventurous eaters, we consider this one are return to comfort food. On our last trip even our pickiest eaters found plenty to enjoy.

My son was always a really picky eater. The buffet in Germany has always been one of his favorite WDW meals. There are two or three "wursts" that taste a lot like hot dogs, so he always loved those. And, as the other folks have mentioned, there are chicken fingers and mac & cheese. My only problem when eating at Germany was keeping him from filling up on the pretzel bread.

(Funny story: One year, it was about an hour after we'd eaten there, and we'd made our way around World Showcase -- I think we were in Canada -- I look over, and see my son munching on a piece of pretzel bread. When I asked him where it came from, he got this terribly sheepish look on his face and pulled three or four more from the pockets all over his cargo-style shorts! He looked up at me and said nervously, "Mom, are they going to kick me out of Disney World for stealing these?" I assured him that since that meal was "all you can eat" it was OK this one time, as long as he ate them (but that he shouldn't do it again). To this day, every time we eat at Germany (always at least twice per trip), we joke with each other as we leave about having pretzel bread hidden in our pants and socks and backpacks, etc... Other people who overhear us must think we're nuts...)

Anyway, to answer the OP: Kids love this place. IMHO, it's the best WS meal for kids in general, and especially for picky eaters.

My kids love it there too, but that's because they reaally like the beer! :lmao:

They'll love it there even if they're under 5. The dancing is a fun thing for them to do.
