Anyone seen this movie or read the book?

What did you think of it?

Read the book, then saw the movie. Loved them both. The book was a very easy read, but not easy on the emotions-it is about the Holocaust.

I saw the movie. I was sobbing at the end (and that's not me- I almost never get emotional during movies or tv shows).

I haven't seen it or read it, but the book is on my to read list. A word of warning: the ending is very emotional. I saw a thread about the movie hwen it first came out and they were talking about the ending. I looked it up and am very glad I did so that I could be prepared for it.

I think everyone should see this film. We watch a lot of movies but this is one I've been telling everyone I know to rent.

I have not read the book, but I did watch the movie in the theater. At the end of this film, I was sobbing uncontrollably in my seat, and I wasn't alone! When the credits started rolling, people were either silent and still in their seat, or crying.

It was an incredible movie, but boy, I had to sit in my car and finish crying before I left the parking lot. I hadn't cried so hard during a movie since Life is Beautiful.

I saw the movie but didn't read the book.

I don't want to say much about the plot for those who haven't seen it it, but this is one of those movies that can grab you and stay with you for a long time.

It was a good movie in that I thought it (the acting, storyline, etc.) was well done, but it was difficult for me to watch. It was a heartwrenching film! If you watch it, have some Kleenex handy.

My DD's 8th grade class is reading the book now. so far she is liking it. I will read it when she's done.

I read the book and saw the movie. The book was a lot better, but the movie was still fantastic. They both had me sobbing.

I just watched the movie last night. It's the first time I've seen a Holocaust movie that humanized the Nazis. The ending was very sad, but I didn't have much sympathy for the boy's father.

Our son's 8th grade social studies class watched the movie, and he thought it was good, and says that we should get it.
