Cindy are you and Matt definite for the Baltimore Marathon? Have you registered? For some reason I have in the back of my mind that you were not coming.

We have both registered. I'm doing the full and Cindy is doing the half. We signed up a while back as part of this deal where if you did Frederick (either full or half) and Baltimore (either full or half) you get an extra medal. You know how much of a sucker I am for an extra medal :-)

I think that one year I'm going to have to make an effort to do a bunch of the rock n roll events to collect all of those extra medals. If you are super crazy and do 7 events in a year, you get a really big guitar headstock looking medal.

They better give you more than a big medal for running all 7 events. Maybe you get to hang out back stage with some rock stars or something.

That somewhat depends on your DH. If he is still all in for the big go at Richmond I will just run the Towpath half. If he's not able or your NY entry changes his Richmond status, I will go for the flat and fast full and run Richmond for fun!

LAst I heard, he is still planning to run Richmond. My NY status doesn't change anything for him. Richmond is the same weekend as a home swim meet, so I need to be home for that, but he is planning on the marathon.

Oh yeah, I ran 4 miles yesterday and 6 today. Nice weather today...cool and dry.

Got an email from NYC saying I am in. You know I have to pay for the entry fee plus raise the $3000? You think for $3000 they could toss in your fee? Well, I have to figure out how to attack the whole charity thing. Haven't had time to digest it.

I am definitely out for Baltimore. Between NYC and Goofy I am tapped out.

Hmmm......:rolleyes1popcorn::

Cindy~ I think what she means is that when you said "we are 100% in" that would equate to both of you running the marathon. Not one running marathon, one running the half. Just a guess.

I ran some tonight. Not the best feeling run of my life, slight shin splint discomfort.

Miles: 3.0
Time: 27:37
Pace: 9:12
Splits: 9:14, 9:17, 9:05

Tomorrow night we Cam, Andrew and I) will be running a local 5K. I'll post results later on.

They posted the results from the Kid Shelleen's 5K from Sunday morning. I actually placed in my age group! :cheer2::banana::cool1:

Howard

Good Morning Everyone: Yesterday I ran my little over 3 mile course in 29 min. It felt great. I got my run in right before the rains hit. I'm also excited because I had a presentation here at the college I work at about leading a group of students for an alternative break trip to Orlando in January 2010 to work at the Give Kids the World Village. Everyone was very enthusiastic about it, and approved my going ahead and making plans. Right now the tentative dates are Jan 10-17, 2010. I'm toying with the idea (now don't hold me to this) of running Goofy the weekend before. However, I'm not sure how good of an idea it is to go Goofy before leading a student group for a week. :confused3

Matt- Hey good to see you posting around here. I think that's been a couple days in a row now.

Good Morning to you to Mike. Thanks for the tweet!

Howard- You are bouncing back really quickly on your foot. Glad to see your recovery's doing well. :thumbsup2

Hey Lou- Sorry to hear you won't be at Baltimore, but it's totally understandable. Maybe I'll see you in Orlando.

OK, hello to everyone else - :wave2:
I'm actually feeling quite exhausted today. My allergies have been killing me this week, and I got very little sleep last night. My throat was so raw, and I couldn't breath - it just kept me up all night. I feel like putting my head on my desk and taking a nap.

Dang that is some really tough competition! 17:37 5K wow.

Matt:
Check out this 70 year old's time...
