Boardwalk Inn -

Hi Phil And Liz and welcome to the boards.

We have been fortunate to have stayed at the Inn three times in the last six years and have enjoyed every minute of it. Each time we have had a waterview room overlooking the lake and the boardwalk - enjoying our morning coffee from our balcony while watching the boats and the people below. All waterview rooms do not have a balcony, however. These rooms were on the 4th or 5th floor directly over the Belle Vue Lounge, where, by the way, is a neat place to end the day. Also check to see if they are serving a continental breakfast there. The pool (Luna Park) is great and the snacks and drinks at the pool bar are very tasty.

You probably realise already what a great location you will be staying in, what with four other resorts and dozens of dining choices all within walking distance. You can walk to Epcot and MGM, but on a hot day the boats are a nice alternative. You can't take a bus to these two parks from any of the Epcot resorts.

For meals, we have had good times and meals at the Cape May Buffet and Spoodles. Le Cellier in Epcot at Canada is one of our favorites. You will get a lot of info on these boards, and some time to digest all of it.

Happy Anniversary and have a most magical trip!! Peg and Bob

Liz, please say Hello to Jackie and Robin in Concierge from the Fergusons. We were there last week, and the trip could not have been better! We were disappointed the WL was full so we HAD to book the BI. Ha! Absolutely our best vacation ever, and the Boardwalk was great! We will stay ther from now on. Jeff

Hello Johnsonet,

Please let us know how the trip went! T

hanks for the thread. Very informative.

Thanks,

Phil and Liz

DW and I stayed at BWI for our anniversary this past May:D We had never really considered BWI but we were able to get a great rate, so we gave it a shot. It was quite nice and the proximity to Epcot and MGM was very nice.:earsboy:

Welcome to the DIS, Phil & Liz!

The Boardwalk is a great resort (a bit on the snotty side, but still great). I had a great standard room overlooking one of the pools. I could see the tops of some of the Epcot buildings, and Illuminations from my balcony.

My favorite part of the Boardwalk is Jellyrolls, a dueling piano bar. The piano players are fantastic, and it's a great place to spend a night. If you have a free night, you should definitely check it out. Doors open at 7:00, the piano players start at 8:00. If you do go, and you get to see Scotty (tall guy with glasses), say hello for Karen from Boston.

The pizza window is a great place to grab a quick bite. I got an excellent meatball sub there. The pastries at the Boardwalk Bakery are incredible.

Have a great trip!

Karen
