Boardwalk Joes would have it but I think they are closed in the morning. You could ask Spoodles if they would do it to go or another idea is the Fountain at the Dolphin.

Thanks! I was looking at The Fountain, but I wasn't sure how to get to it and in which area of the Dolphin it was in. Which one has the coffee place that uses Starbucks brand coffee? Is that the Swan?

I have a question about the deluxe rooms ... in pictures I've seen, it doesn't appear that they have any type of "roof" or overhang above the balconies, so there would be no shade during the day. Can anyone tell me if that's the case? TIA!

I didn't do a search for images but I think it depends on where your room is located. The rooms on the 3rd floor would have a "roof" from the balcony above. I'm pretty sure some of the rooms on the 4th floor have an awning but not all.

Thanks! This is one post that I saw that had me wondering (it's from the Balcony View thread on the Resort Photo forum). It appears that the rooms on the 3rd floor don't have any kind of covering ...

View several years ago from our Deluxe CL room at BWI. We were above the BW Bakery and I was blown away!

Honestly I can remember for sure but looking at the picture you found the 3rd floor would only get a bit of covering from the 4th floor. On the 4th it seems the middle balcony does not have any covering. That's the one we had.

This is all I have found so far. The rooms are above Seashore Sweets and the bakery so only the 2 middle ones on the 4th would have no covering at all.

jjohnson, I really appreciate your trying to help me! :goodvibes I'm concerned because I have to stay out of prolonged direct sun (side effects w/meds) and I'd hate to have to stay off the balcony during the day. BWI might be too much of a "gamble" as far as that goes. :(

You may have better luck on the lounge balcony or go down to the quiet pool; there is a lot of cover there. Are you going to the parks alot? I've been there in August & the heat is a bit tough for some.

The heat is definitely a concern. We've gone in September a bunch of times, and then swore off of it because of the heat. But this year my dh suggested going for my 40th, which is in September, so I lost my mind and thought "Why not?" :sad2: So now I want to stay somewhere so we can spend down time in a comfy room ... the bwi deluxe room looked perfect for that. :) Now just the balcony issue a bit of a bummer ... not sure what to do.

I happen to love Polynesian concierge but the 2nd floor doesn't have a balcony. AKL is wonderful for a more relaxing vacation.

So much great information in this thread! Thank you:thumbsup2 We arrive at the Boardwalk on June 20th for the first time and we can't wait. I was wondering about the balconies in the CL Deluxe rooms, I read that the 4th floor had smaller balconies but can you still sit out there or are they standing room?

Thank you

I just recently got back from a Boardwalk deluxe room on the 4th floor. The balconies are smaller than those on the third floor but you can definately sit out there. They have two chairs and a small table. Have a great time!
