Francie-when you get the BWI just let someone know you are staying Club level and they will take you directly up there to check in. You have chosen a great resort to stay and the CMs at the Innkeepers Lounge are the best!;) Enjoy your trip and tell them Stacey from Iowa says "HI":)

Right now club level is closed so there are no concierge guests to check in! There are the garden suites but many of those are upgrades from what I've seen. The new rooms have a large sofa- I assume it pulls out but I'm not 100% sure as I didn't try it. There is an official show room right now but I'm not sure if that's for cast members only or also guests. Doesn't hurt to ask if you're visiting anytime soon:)

I wish they would have been more upfront about the sleep sofa in the rooms. We stayed at the BC and the sleep sofa is daybed size. I know someone said the new rooms looked like they have full sized sleep sofas. Are any of the standard rooms going to be done by August? Wondering if we may be able to get lucky and get one...and if so, where would I be asking for a room?

If not, what are the best rooms there to ask for? We have three kids, 3, 9, and 13.

Does anyone know this? I am so unfamiliar with this resort. I have no idea where the best rooms are (just regular roomwise).

I know the concierge level rooms will be done soon.. not sure about the regular rooms though. If you really need a good sleeper sofa then book on the villa side:thumbsup2 The studio is the same price as a standard Inn room.

I was wondering if any DVC members can suggest a room number and or area for the Studio and 1 bedroom villa's? First time staying here, last year we stayed at OKW and we were very dissapointed.

What is most important to you? Some people care more about the view, others prefer to be close to the lobby and/or elevators. If you are booked with a boardwalk view you'll love it! :) We always ask to be near the lobby side of the resort because one time we were way, way far back towards the MGM Studios side and it was the longest walk ever!

We would like to be near the elevators. Is there one that is near the elevator and has a good view of Illuminations? I want the best of both worlds, lol.

We have had our reservations in place for quite some time now. Our original plan was 2 nights (2 rooms) at POFQ and 5 nights in a 2 bedroom OKW. Well, some things have changed and we went from 6 to 5 people going. We decided to look into club level somewhere for the first 2 nights. We have done club at the Poly and AKL and have enjoyed both.
The only 2 options that were open were the Boardwalk and the Beach Club. The BWI sounds great, but have a few questions before I call back and make the ressies. But don't want to wait too long incase those rooms are gone also.

I read that the lounge is on the 4th floor, but couldn't find anything about where on the 4th floor. I think we would like a room close to the lounge, or are all of the rooms pretty close?

I read about the renovations and am unclear if a regular couch is now being put in to replace the daybed or if this is just in the deluxe rooms.

We will be there for just the 2 nights and will be doing DHS and Epcot on those days. So we are hope for something close to the lounge with easy access to get in and out of the building. I do remember reading that there are only 2 eleveators, but are there stairs that leading out of other parts of the building?

Thanks for any help
Pam

Any pics yet of the new rooms at the BWI??? I'm dying to see them!!! :thumbsup2

looking for a boardwalk villas info thread and can't seem to find a good one...any suggestions?

We just stayed in 3065 (a studio) and really enjoyed it. It's the first room on the Boardwalk side of the hotel from the elevators and has a view of the area in front of the hotel lobby going down to the Boardwalk and the lake. Though it's technically listed as a "Garden" view, it gave us a decent view of the Boardwalk and the lake, which is what we were hoping for (rooms that are right on the Boardwalk itself tend to get snatched up by DVC members who are given, reasonably enough, priority in room requests for the Villas). We thoroughly enjoyed the view and only had noise late on a Saturday night as a group of people seemed to be gathering right below us, having a high ol' time. We never got noise from the elevators. And being that close to the elevator made it a 2 minute walk to the buses in the morning (and only about 12 minutes to DHS when walking through the back of the pool area to the walkway to DHS). I mention this because you can be far enough away from the elevators at this place to add at least 5 minutes onto your walk to anywhere.

The only physical flaw we noted with the room was the inside door knob of the bathroom had its cover (is that what it's called? - you know the piece that conceals the hole you have to make in the door to install it) dangling off a bit. If you can live with that and the other stuff sounds right, I would highly recommend this room.

Not sure if you could see Illuminations from here, though. We were always either at another park or in Epcot for Illuminations itself around 9!

is it possible to get a standard club level boardwalk view?

DarlingDumbo yes it is possible. We always book a standard club level room and have been lucky a few times to receive this request.:cool1:

have you requested this through Disney reservations or through the Ipo email?

I request it with Dreams Unlimited and the IPO office. I always tell them I know it is not a guarantee but if possible it would be greatly appreciated. I don't expect it when we check in but when it happens, it is a nice surprise.:goodvibes
