You will need a garden view room. I had room # 4232 one time and it was just perfect. Right around the corner from the lounge and great view too. The fireworks from Illuminations can also be seen from the balconies of the lounge.

I'm sorry if this has been covered before, but I can't seem to search right now.

I just saw some pictures of the garden villas (?) at The BWI. They look amazing! What is the rack rate in value season for these? The Yacht/Beach Club resorts don't really appeal to us, but we would love to try the EPCOTa resort area sometime. The Boardwalk Inn seems perfect :cheer2:

The Grand Villas are the DVC. I'm not sure how difficult it is to book one of these styles if you're not a DVC member. According to the allearsnet.com website, value season rack rates for 2005 are $1395. The Disboards DVC forum might give you some better information.

Hi Tammi

It was definitely at the Boardwalk Inn. I am quite sure they were simply called "Garden Villas" - they had private little gardens out the front.

Thanks for your help. :flower:

Okay, it's the Garden Suites that you want. This is from Allearsnet:

The Garden Suites are designed for Honeymooners but can easily accommodate a family of four and are two stories. There are 14 Garden Suites and all but three have private entrance courtyards. The three that do not, have private balconies. The yards are separated by white picket fences that are about 3 feet tall. Each of the front yards are individually landscaped. At the gated entrance to the yard, there is a small decorative bird house with the room number on it. These front yards lead to the one and only entry way of the suite, and are being grown into manicured rose gardens.

There is a living room on the first floor and a bedroom loft on the second floor. The first floor has a TV, 1/2 bath, bread bar, and a queen size sofa bed. The 2nd level loft, in most cases, overlooks the lower level which creates a very large, vaulted ceiling effect. The three with private balconies have more of an actually separate second level. Either way, the second level features an elevated King size bed. Upstairs you will also find an addition TV, and a full bath with a giant Jacuzzi tub that will easily accommodate two people. There is even a third mini TV for viewing while in the Jacuzzi tub.

2005 value season rack rate is $560 per night. These rooms also include concierge service.

Thanks, Tammi! I just checked out "allearsnet" and saw the photographs. The suite (not villa, sorry!) looks wonderful. I guess it would be no good for us, though, as we are a family of five. Maybe just DH and I can make a trip sometime....those suites look so romantic!

The Boardwalk Inn is definitely the next resort I would like to experience. Those deluxe concierge rooms look incredible!

Thank you for the reply KerryCM! I don't think I need all that extra room so when I book (soon sooon) I'll just ask for a plain concierge room with a BW view. My friends are griping because they think the BWI looks "grandfatherish" but I think its divine looking. Even though I live only 30 mintues from Coney Island it'll be nice to visit a boardwalk that hasn't fallen into a bit of disrepair and has that special disney touch!

Plus I can stay cheaper AND do concierge here as oppossed to staying at the GF (which I will do one day, just not right now) which is a bit out of my budget anyway. Definitely hoping that the concierge department can help make my birthday as magical as can be! Thanks again princess:

I have a question. I'm booked to stay at BWI for Christmas and have been debating whether I want to request a boardwalk view or not. We are early to bed early riser type people and I'm concerned that the noise from the boardwalk might be disturbing. Also, we have a 7 yo DD. Is the Boardwalk at night more for adults or is it OK for children? And finally, does anyone know if they do anything special on the boardwalk or at BWI on Christmas Eve? I know at the other delux resorts we have stayed at on Christmas Eve they have Santa and other characters as well as some musical entertainment. Just curious. Okay that was three questions not one.

Our room was right over Spoodles! Wonderful view-esp. at night. When the balcony door was closed we didn't here a thing and I'm a very light sleeper. I had more trouble with people going up and down the interior hall than with the BW noise.

Thanks for posting this thread. :)

Does anyone know offhand what they sell at Belle Vue room? I mean as far as regular drinks, beers and wines etc?

:sunny: Hi! Staying at BWI for the first time on Oct. 4-8. This thread has been such a big help! Anyone have any pics of the BW? You see lots of pics on the board from Poly and WL but I never seem to see anyone's personal pics of Boardwalk. I would love to see some!

I just booked BWI concierge Deluxe for July, 2006. :) I've stayed at the BWI in 2004 and quickly became my favorite. This will be my very first concierge stay so I'm excited and apprehensive at the same time. We booked deluxe because we're taking my mom. It will give us more room to spread out. According to this thread, the deluxe rooms all overlook the Boardwalk. I hope it's true because I have been looking forward to that view. :sunny:

You are going to love the view!! Make sure you ask for a 4th floor room. There are 3 deluxe rooms on the 3rd floor and 3 on the 4th floor. The lounge is on the 4th floor. The cast are the best as are the IPO. You will not want to stay anywhere else after your stay there!! I do have pictures of the deluxe rooms from our stay last year. PM me your e-mail and I will send them to you. I am in England right now visiting my daughter, but will be home the end of next week to send themn to you.

We booked the BWI Deluxe Concierge for the exact same reason. Mom is joining us and we wanted the extra room/tv/etc. Does anyone know if there is any kind of curtain or drapery that can be closed to separate the living area from the sleeping area? After agonizing I am finally convinced that this is going to be a great resort for our family and I can't wait!!

Thanks, KerryCM! PM was sent. :flower:

southjerseymom, I hope you have a great trip!

Nope no curtain, I have stayed in 2 different DC rooms and one has a huge planter that was between the 2 areas. It relly has a very "open" feel. If you want to see photos or a 360 view you can check out ourlaughingplace.com.
