What is the quickest way to get to Grand Californian from Disneyland Hotel?

Just go through Downtown Disney, there is an entrance to theGrand Californian half way in...they will show you when you check in and give you a map.

My friend and I had the same question...so one day we left the lobby...I went through Downtown Disney with a minimal wait at security check point, he went through DCA. We both walk at about the same pace and wound up at the esplanade within 20 seconds of each other!

...whoops, just realized you said DL hotel, not DLR...then straight through the GCH Downtown Disney entrance and turn left!

It depends on where you are coming from. If it is the far tower and or the pool area, then it may make sense to just go past the rental car lot, to the crosswalks that serve paradise pier and enter from that end. I personally have been known to cross at the closest point where there is no crosswalk, but the CM's don't like that

I also like skipping the DTD hoopla on occasion.
