Do not save you loving speeches
for your friends when they are dead
Do not write them on their tombstones
Speak them rather now instead.

Tell me something very nice about YOUR best friend.

My best friend is Brenda. We have been best friends for over 25 years. I know for a fact whenever I am with her - my day will be overcome with laughter. I don't know what I would do without her - she truly is a once in a lifetime friend. We often wonder when we are old and gray if we will still be mischievious and *sneaky* together. I'm sure we will! :sunny:

She's just as pretty as she thinks she is- maybe even prettier!!

Love Ya Shelley!!

Friends for 25 years...... OMG! :earseek:

My BF's name is Robin. We have known each other since 1977 when we were in 7th grade. We would always hang out together. I don't see her very often even though we don't live too far apart, but if one of us needed the other, we would be there in a heartbeat!!!!

My best female friend is Debbie. We went to first grade together. Now we are sending our kids off to college. So that's like 45 years...omg

My very best friend is my DH. We met at 16 and married at 23 with a lot of growing up in between.

My best friend's name is Janis and we met in Elementary School and discovered we lived 5 houses apart. That was 30 years ago. When I moved 300 miles north she eventually did too. She was my bridesmaid at my wedding and at the hospital the day my daughter was born. She knows all my school age crushes, embarassing moments and secrets. Even though we are now 300 miles apart again, with very different lifestyles and day to day routines we still talk often and giggle like we did in first grade. We have gone over a year at a time without seeing each other and sometimes over 2 months without catching each other on the phone. When we do manage to hook up there is never any awkwardness..... we just pick right up where we left off. :wave2:

Isn't that the best! When you can just pick up the phone after quite a bit of time goes by and its like no time has passed at all :love2:

My best friend's name is MaryAnn. We've been friends since our kids started school together - 18 years! When my father was dying of cancer she took my oldest threekids home from school every day for a week (and fed them dinner) so that I could spend more time at the hospital. At the time the kids were 8, 6 and 5 and she had three of her own. I can always count on her and she can always count on me.

My best friend is Cindy. We've been friends for 20 years - met at college and have always lived far away from one another. We only see each other once a year whenever we go on vacation. I grew up in a family of 7 and we all go on vacation together. Cindy is an an only child, so she's adopted my family as her own and started coming with us. Being with her is like putting on a pair of comfy shoes...she just fits!

My best friend is Peggy and we have been friends for 3 years now. As soon as we met we hit it off and had an instant connection. She has daughters my age. She is always there to listen and help me through the rough days. She is beautiful on the inside and out. She knows I love her dearly.

What can I say? My best friend is awesome is so many ways. She would do anything for me (and vice versa). She can make any day better just by being part of it. I feel very blessed to have her in my life. :goodvibes

My best friend is Nancy. We met when I started teaching 1st grade. She was in the class next door teaching 2nd grade. She was the kindest, most helpful person and we became fast friends. We supported each other, but mostly just laughed together. Now we moved and she's still teaching back in MO. I miss her so much!!! But we talk ALL the time and my family can't understand how we find so much to talk about for hours on end. Thank God for unlimited long distance.

Monique is smart, talented, pretty and she tells it like it is. She's always there for you and she seriously is just one cool woman! :)

(and she loves animals...how can you not admire someone who loves animals ;))

I have 2 BFs. My DSis Lisa (Iansmomm) who grew up with all the same baggage I did and understands why I am the way I am. I can usually con her into almost anything. And if she kicks the bucket early, I get her son, what better gift is there? Hopefully she won't but if she does it's nice to know she's that confident in my abilities to pick up where she left off. We laugh at the same things, have the same silly sense of humor, and have this psychic connection that's just plain frightening. Her DH somehow managed to get transferred with the Air Force to VA where DH and I had moved just so we wouldn't be seperated.

I've known Jennie for 3 years now. We hit it off the day we met. She knows absolutely everything and likes me anyway. She's game for anything. She's great to gossip with and always a lot of fun. I'd give anything for her to move to VA too. I'll convince her one day. I moved away a year ago and she's the only person I've said I keep in touch with that I actually did. She just spent a week at WDW with DSis and I.

The three of us have become very close and we now sport necklaces that say "Best", "Friends" and "Forever". Maybe it's because no one else can stand us LOL

My best friend's name is Kim. We have been friends for over 20 years. We live far apart now, but if one of us needed anything it goes without question that we would do whatever we could. When my nephew died last year she met me at the airport late at night, let me borrow her car, and drove my luggage up in her husband's car when the airline lost it. (the funeral was an hour from her home). Then she took time off from work to stay with me and my sister the day of the funeral and help pick up after everyone left.

Her husband claims when she talks in her sleep that she is talking to me!

:teeth: She is the type of friend when you say you are so mad you might need bail money (just kidding) she says how much? :teeth:

My best friend is named Christine. We met in 1992 as graduate students in college. I love her she is like a sister to me. We've been though everything together

My best friend is a girl named Erin. Erin's been around for me whenever I needed someone to talk to, someone to give me advice, or just someone to tell me I was being a complete idiot, and to snap out of it, and has been one of the most supportive people in my life. We've known each other for about 10 years, and have been talking since before either of us was in high school.

My best friend is Kendra--we've known each other since our freshman year of high school. Things that are great about her: she has endless energy and capacity to care for people. She is a woman of occassion--she's great about birthdays, holidays, anniversaries, etc. She puts up with the fact that I drift out of contact from time to time. She always smells nice. She isn't afraid to work hard and get her hands dirty. She doesn't take any bull.

I've had a lot of friends come and go over the years, but I can see the two of us meeting for coffee in the day room of our nursing home trying to figure out what is up with the night nurse's ugly eyeshadow...

Her name is Karen. She's fun to be around and I love to spend the day shopping with her, or hanging out at each other's houses, or going out to eat with our spouses (they get along really well too), or working on projects for one thing or another. Actually I always enjoy any of the things we do together. Unlike me, she is always very, very kind to others. I don't think she has a mean bone in her body. I admire how hard she works at being good to everyone and I think that I am a nicer person when I spend time with her.

I have two bestest friends. One is my youngest sister Cathy. I can talk to her about ANYTHING and she won't tell MOM, LOL. Well, most of the time anyway :) . She is my Disney pal and confidant. We agree to disagree on things but still remain close.

My other best friend is Alison and we have known each other over 30 yrs. when I was dating her youngest brother in HS. Even tho' that relationship didn't last ours has. We are totally opposite on alot of things but, I know she is always there for me. There have been times over the years we didn't connect as much and our lives took different directions but, we were always friends. We have what we call "date night" every week and go to dinner and just talk and laugh and have a good time. I'm lucky to have her for my friend. :)

I love hearing these "Best Friend" stories!!! Keep em coming! :flower:
