Mt best friend is Phylliss, she moved to Florida 5 years ago. Now whenever I go to WDW she drive's up 3 hours to stay with me. We have so much fun in WDW. She drove all the way up last summer from Florida to NJ to drive me to Maryland for my Pre-Transplant appt. and test. We made a little mini-vaction out of and went to the Inner Harbor. We where there for a few days. It was nice having her by my side when they told me I had 3 to 6 months to live.
Today is 6 months Post-Transplant and I am doing well. She called dh everyday I was in the hospital. We talk every weekend on the phone. I will be seeing her this summer. I can not wait. She will come to visit me at WDW in May 2006. I will take her to the Hoop-Dee-Doo this trip. I always take her somewhere nice and pay for her park pass and a nice dinner. Phil your the best. God Bless You
The list of things she has done is so long, but there are 2 that stand out.
I was not in a great place when I was turning 30. A few months prior I had been diagnosed with infertility and I was told that chances of becoming pregnant (even with medical intervention) were very slim. She sent out letters to all of my family and friends and told them to write something (memory or letter and enclose pictures). She made me the most beautiful scrapbook. I sincerely can not even put into words how special it was. When I was going for IVF, she would take an 1 1/2 ride with me everyday to my clinic. When I was on bedrest she made me all prepared meals that were frozen and just needed to be heated
I met my best friend in fourth grade, we were wearing the same shirt! She is literally the light of my life, and always will be. She (Jane) lives in FL now, but when I see her we take off just where we left off like it was yesterday. She is married with a 5 yr. old now. I'm not really crazy about her hubby, I don't think that he is good enough for her. He doesn't let her visit her mom in VA very often. Her mom is a widow, and the nicest woman in the world! I visit her mom when I go to Virginia, she is so lonely.
It's really hard to express the feeling of unconditional love that we have for each other. It's great to have that with atleast one person on this Earth!!!
Even though we don't see eachother or talk to eachother as often as we'd like...we can pick up the phone and talk like no time has passed at all! Oldest friends are the bestest friends...forever!
And, for the record, Ms. Mermaid is a looker herself!! Love ya too Lori!
