The beauty of nature...

This was the view from my back porch last Thursday night around 7 PM. This phot has in no way been touched up or altered. It was taken with a digital camera.

I have never seen such a pretty rainbow in my life. Words can not describe and this photo barely does it justice...but I just had to share.

I hope it brightens your day and the way it did ours.

LOL! I did but my dog decided halfway on the walk that he no longer felt like walking. I wound up carrying a 12 lb jack russell terrier for about 1/2 mile. I got some looks from people in passing cars, but it was fun. Thanks for asking!

[Son of the Morning]

Written in Early Spring by Wordsworth

I heard a thousand blended notes
While in a grove I sate reclined,
In that sweet mood when pleasant thoughts
Bring sad thoughts to the mind.

To her fair works did Nature link
The human soul that through me ran;
And much it grieved my heart to think
What Man has made of Man.

Through primrose tufts, in that sweet bower,
The periwinkle trail'd its wreaths;
And 'tis my faith that every flower
Enjoys the air it breathes.

The birds around me hopp'd and play'd,
Their thoughts I cannot measure,—
But the least motion which they made

The budding twigs spread out their fan
