Just got back Monday night (yep...was there through Jeanne), and on Saturday afternoon, we saw the BCV alligator in the canal that runs behind the pool. He (she?) was near the bridge and there also had to be about 10 huge turtles right there too. There was a little girl who was throwing golfish crackers in the canal. I understand this is NOT the thing to do. I took some pics, I'll try to post them later!

Found out that there was at least three in the canal. They did take one out at the end of August. Got too big and friendly. Kids should not feed them, they will then look for humans and God forbide a child is walking alittle too close to shore. Even in Disney they cannot tame alligators!

We have seen 3 as well. We were not completely sure if it was 3 different ones or not, but you could definatly tell the difference in the size between 2 of them. 1 was behind the bus stop, 1 was by the quiet pool bridge and the other was in the canel behind the resort on the epcot side. (all in the same canel, just different areas of the canel) We were actually walking to the back of the resort one day around the side by the parking lot and 1 of them was lying on the grass by the bank of the canel. He quickly scurried down into the water as soon as he heard us, but boy was that scary.

I wish people wouldn't feed the alligators. Just my 2c.

If the game wardens ever decide to stake out the place, people feeding them would be in a world of hurt. I understand the penalties are huge.
