The Battle For My Wallet IV: Return of the ZZUBs (Addendum, p.85; 07/12)

What a way to wake up, with a fresh installment from Zzub! going to be a good day!

Haven't posted in a while, but rest assured, I have read every installment the day they were posted. It's almost like I've reverted to lurking. Great chapter.

On another note, I found a spelling mistake. Well, maybe not a mistake, but a misuse of a word. As in when a certain pronounciation has more than one spelling. Can't believe no one else picked up on it already. Or maybe I'm the only dork who noticies those things. Did I spell pronounciation correctly?

On a personal note, DW and I are expecting our 2nd near the end of March. Best to you and your family during the next few weeks/months.

Looking forward to the next chapter.

Another evening post! I appreciate some good morning entertainment and you never disappoint.

Love the Epcot/Middle School analogy. Very true in many ways but I thought I almost heard you admit that you liked Epcot on this particular day. Which is not the same as admitting you were wrong about Epcot. But it's a start. Dude.
EPCOT is like Shakespeare. No one likes Shakespeare.
I take exception to this generalization. I like Shakespeare and I like Epcot. And just as a point of reference, I do not heed mob mentality nor have I needed a date in more than 20 years. What is it you do for a living? LY/MI.
You see, my daughter suffers from Relapsing/Remitting Wineritis.
Wineritis is an inflammation of the vintner found mostly in France and Northern California. Whineritis is an annoying and perpetual inflammation of the whine. Victims are mostly female and there is no cure. My daughter caught whineritis at the age of four and still suffers daily bouts of the disease....at 13. Good luck with that one. ;)

Thanks again for a funny morning installment. It was more entertaining than, say, watching your much more worthy team be beaten by the tide....in basketball.

Another great installment ZZUB!

I saw it too. Guess that makes me a dork too. I also look at my keyboard when I read a typo to see if the letter that was wrong is CLOSE to the the correct letter on the keyboard. If it is, then I can understand where the typo comes from, just hitting a neighbor key. If not? Then I spend a few minutes baffled at how that happened. I AM a dork.

Oh my. I saw the mis choice of the there their they're trio, but I wasn't going to mention it. We're talking about ZZUB, one of the popular boys. You don't go around correcting the popular boys - WHAT ARE YOU THINING?

Great installment ZZUB. I especially liked the pop culture references!

Love how you sneak in the hot off the press pop culture references. Brittney would be so proud!

ZZUB's misusing words?!

It's the end of the world as we know it.

And I feel itchy.

I'm ZZUB and I can't spell. Frankly, it's amazing that I get any wurd on the paaper spelet corektly.

As you know, spell check doesn't catch correctly spelled but misused homonyms, or words you've just coined. In my rush to get a new chapter up, I reckon I don't proofread as well as I should.

NicoleMarie will be so disappointed y'all got to call out my spelling before she did. She has so little joy and now y'all have taken that away from her. I hope you're happy.

What's even worse than missing the spelling error, is not getting to be the first post. I love being first.

You know, I think more stunning than ZZUB's spelling, is the fact that Ukwildcat came out of lurkdom to correct it.

Hey UK, did you know Dunkin' Donuts was recently voted BEST COFFEE all around? Aren't I remembering you correctly? The one from Kentucky who eats charred hot dogs but doesn't like the Double D? :rotfl:

Great installment, Z.

ZZUB said:
Last year I wrote a lot about how EPCOT is too reminiscent of a middle school.

And it was one of my favorite installments.

Which is not to say our original assessment was incorrect.

La!! You are right! He just can't admit he was wrong. It's OK, Z. We didn't properly appreciate Epcot until this last trip. But there is nothing wrong with eating crow. Just go ahead. Admit you were wrong about it.

But here is my concern. If it isn't the 2nd best park, what is? MGM? Animal Kingdom? I think not.

From there, we walked up to the Monorail platform and a few minutes later my little girl and I were on our way. As we rode along, a foreboding mood came over my daughter.

Were you in the car with all the "Year of a Million Dreams" carp on it? Because that put me in a mood. Try rolling towards the Magic Kingdom looking for the castle, only not being able to get a good view because there is a film over the windows of the monorail car. A film that looks cool if you are viewing the monorail from the outside, but get inside and all you see are tiny circles on the windows.

Properly warned ye be.

Except I was actually standing in front of EPCOT with NO FREAKING CLUE WHAT WE WERE GOING TO DO IF THEY EVER LET US IN THE PARK.

Now THIS makes me numb. And a little disappointed in the DISboards Class President.

It was 9:05 in the morning and we’re shiny with sweat. I love Florida.
This stresses me just a bit. Is it really that bad?

After anti-bacterializing our hands, I broke out the Pop Tarts and water.

“My name is ZZUB. I’m a Disney World Dad.”

That was hilarious. I loved it.

It was hot. Really hot. Hotter than hot. Hottest ever. We walked over to Innoventions because it was air conditioned and I thought there might be some interesting stuff to see.

I was laughing, but now I'm stressed out again.

Z, my friend, that was a great installment. And I read between the lines. I know you can't admit defeat on your prior opinion of Epcot. No more than you can admit LaLa's wearin' the gold.

But I'm glad you experienced some of the cool stuff Epcot has to do. And shared it with that sweet daughter of yours. I'm looking forward to your next installment.

I'll be hanging around the TR boards so I can be first to post and point out your spelling errors.

If Dunkin Donuts was voted best coffee one of two things is happening: this country is worse off than the media would have us believe, or Dunkin Donuts is spiking their (there?;) ) coffee with the liquor of your choice (much like WDW spikes the air quality to make us empty our wallets.

Good to see all the usual suspects posting on this thread today. And, yes, I have returned from lurkdom. For how long is anybodys guess.

Thanks for more words of wisdom! I don't have a need to be first but I was very frustrated earlier this am when all your adoring fans were singing your praises slowing down my connection and not allowing me to post a response. Maybe your computer is sharing its slow-genes with mine?

Can totally relate to the middle school metaphor - I'm living with one! A middle schooler, that is, not a metaphor.

Hey all

I herd on tv that thers a movment to let kidz spell werds the way thay sownd. All that memerizing is just to much werk. Mabee it wuz Zzub that started that idea.

Thanx fer the report. Want mor suun, pleze.

Epcot's the bomb.

They now have rehab for people who write TR's and misuse words, periods, misspell, don't got a bit of grammar, and use nouns as verbs.

Check in before shaving your head please.

ZZUB! I'm so glad you're back! Just wanted to let you know I've spent the past 2 hours reading this report and loving every minute of it! Can't wait to see what happens next!:goodvibes

I see you pulled yourself away from watching Extra and Entertainment Tonight to write another great chapter!

I have nothing to say but Wonderfullarella! And yes, we BW and Y&BC peeps always feel a little dejected because we dont' get to access EPCOT by that lovely silver bullet! BUT if you are like us and vettechick you know why we stay there! :drinking1 Esp. in October and November!!
