The Battle For My Wallet IV: Return of the ZZUBs (Addendum, p.85; 07/12)

Now zzub, I have been thinking about this and the metaphor that you really should be using here for Epcot is the "Bad Lighting" episode of Seinfeld. You know it looks really bad at sometimes and really good at others... Just think about it.

You see, my daughter suffers from Relapsing/Remitting Whineritis.

See I knew that there must be a name for this affliction. My Belle suffers from this from time to time. I call it her Whine First, Think Later approach to problem solving.

Ok. I gotta respond to the Shakespeare bit.
Reading Shakespeare is a pain in the toush. The tragedies are silly and insane.
Some of the comedies are incredible, if acted properly.
The ONLY piece of Shakespeare that I will watch over and over is Kenneth Branagh's version of Much Ado About Nothing.
It stars Branagh, his then wife Emma Thompson, Denzel Washington, Robert Sean Leonard, Michael Keaton, a very young and nubile Kate Beckinsale and mysteriously, Keanu Reeves.
Thompson and Branagh alone make it extraordinary. I laugh out loud throughout the whole thing. Give it a chance sometime when you're in the mood.

Other than that, Congrats on the baby news! Another sweet little girl!
Great episode, as always.
Ready Kay7979's report. I love it.

yep...I see how it is....
DID YOU HEAR THAT NM???

I was very shocked that Disney didn't suck you into an air conditioned gift shop to empty your wallet during your wait for the turtle, dude.

I feel sorry for the people who stay in the EPCOT area resorts who have to walk in through the International Gateway because they never get to experience the Monorail ride into EPCOT.

Don't feel sorry for those schlubs. They know something you havn't figured out yet. Epcot Resorts are best! Eventually you'll have a trip report stating just that. You are slowly making your way around Disney World Proper.

I refuse to ride Malestrom. My eleven year old begs, just because she knows I hate it, and she is "into" poking her fingers into my eyes and digging just for the heck of it.

You should have taken your daughter into a store for some shopping. Girly girls usually enjoy that.

...but a die-hard Zzub fan none the less! Besides I never was part of the "in" crowd in school. Too shy. Hey maybe that's why I love Epcot so much!:upsidedow It's a place for those of us who will just never quite fit in.

Would this be a good place to insert that I also love the Figment ride?:rolleyes1

Hi Zzub!

You ARE a Disney Dad!

You were wrong about Epicot, admit it.

And I like Shakespeare, I am sure you were just kidding about all that.

Sonnet #145

Those lips that Love's own hand did make
Breathed forth the sound that said 'I hate'
To me that languish'd for her sake;
But when she saw my woeful state,
Straight in her heart did mercy come,
Chiding that tongue that ever sweet
Was used in giving gentle doom,
And taught it thus anew to greet:
'I hate' she alter'd with an end,
That follow'd it as gentle day
Doth follow night, who like a fiend
From heaven to hell is flown away;

'I hate' from hate away she threw,
And saved my life, saying 'not you.'

nooooo don't feel sorry for us! We got the coolest thing EVER. Leaving MK one night, instead of taking the bus back to Beach Club with the rest of humanity, we took the resort monorail to the TTC, switched to the Epcot monorail.

Since it was after 9, there was NOBODY going this way. We got to sit in the front, for the loooooooong ride to Epcot, including the swoop through Future World. Then we just told the security dude at the gate that we were BC guests and needed to walk through.

They let us into the closed park to meander on through to the IG. Very cool.

Baby ZZUB has arrived!
Although she wasn't due for another few weeks, our baby girl decided she was ready to join the world and begin her life's adventure with our family.

She weighed in at 6 lbs. 5 oz. at birth and was 19.25" long. 10 fingers, 10 toes. Everything working just fine. My wife, my unbelievably strong as all get out wife, labored for 16 hours, without any pain medication! For people who question the strength and fortitude of Southern Women I say, meet Mrs. ZZUB. She'll teach you what a true steel magnolia is.

We're not the kind of people to post our names or pictures of our children on the internet. But I think it's ok for me to tell you our baby daughter's middle name is Faith. And if you've been reading this trip report for very long, you know why.

This has been an amazing year of heartache and blessing, and God has sustained us through dark nights of despair and provided a bright morning of rejoicing. God has used this time, both losing Samuel and receiving our baby girl, to deepen our understanding of who He is.

Many of you have been reading along with me since about a year ago when we lost Samuel. Much of my current Trip Report focuses on our loss and our hope. I know many people who read my Trip Report have suffered similar losses and I know some have suffered far worse. If my Trip Report does anything at all, if it brings any joy, I hope it brings encouragement. God is not done with us. He is in the redemption business.

I try to post updates to my Trip Report every two weeks. By that schedule, the next update is due on Monday. However, we're playing man to man defense in our home right now and I haven't been in my office for a week. It may be a little longer before I post the next update. But I will continue to unfold our story. There's plenty more to come.

 Congrats ZZUB! Faith is the perfect middle name for her considering everything that's happened!

Congratulations Zzub and Mrs Zzub!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:cutie: CONGRATULATIONS TO THE ZZUBS! :cutie:

I'm so happy to hear your sweet angel has arrived safe and sound. What a blessing!

I've played man to man defense and when our third arrived we had to learn to play the zone. It's tiring....try not to fall asleep. ;)

whoo-hoo!
Congratulations to you and your family!
