I wouldn't :sad2: I really wouldn't classify it as a noteworthy thread....although it was entertaining while it lasted. popcorn::

Maybe I'm odd but I would never spend the time looking in corners and under toilets to find everything wrong and THEN take pictures:rotfl2: . I am a DVC owner and I like to see my interests in tip-top shape, but I'm also on vacation and know Disney takes care of its own by just looking around everywhere else.

Me, neither! If that were the case, I would have taken pics of our shower which was in serious need of caulking. However, I did not notice it until day 6 and then it didn't really bother me. It just so happens the maintenance guy was there that day to re-caulk and do some minor fixes. I know it's nothing like the OP's case of the missing door and peeling wallpaper but I wouldn't even think to take pictures.

I guess I should have taken pictures when we were staying at HH and the shower kept leaking into the bathroom and out on to the carpet in the hallway. Then I could have posted them here and labeled HH as the Days Inn of off-site DVC resorts :).

So something involved more than one stall wall, or we are looking at photos of opposite sides of the same between stall wall. It still looks like something heavy, like an ECV or perhaps even a housekeeping cart, hit these walls quite forcefully.

Ok, this is going by memory but that still can't be the handicapped stall. The HA stall has a sink with mirror and towel dispenser in the corner where the stall wall and tile wall meet. I'd expect to see a glimmer of at least one from that angle.

Also, for an ECV to hit the wall at that angle it would have to be half the normal size and hit it at a 90 degree angle.

You enter the bathroom, go straight back and turn right. The HA stall is at the end of the passageway with a door at the end. You drive straight in then shut the door behind you. The commode and sink are along the wall to your right.

With the amount of space in that stall I can't see hitting the stall wall as you maneuvered. The opposite wall yes, but not the stalls. You'd take out the commode and sink first.

I have not commented on this thread - but was entertained by reading it. Then, today I went to the High museum in Atlanta - and in the lauded famous-architect-designed new addition (which got labeled one of the 10 best new buildings in the world a few years ago) there was...........a long CRACK in the paint on one of the walls of the new wing - from the ceiling down to the art!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Had cameras been allowed, I'd have taken a picture to post it. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Oh. The horror.

You would know better than me (I don't know if I have been in the Lobby restrooms and they wouldn't let me in the ladies anyway :rotfl2: ) but is it possibly the last stall next to the handicapped. It does appear that there is somewhat of a longer wall on the right, so if it is the last stall next to the handicap stall, it could indeed be damaged by someone trying to get into or out of the handicapped.

And for the record, I did not repost the original title to restart the flames, but wanted some of the new readers to understand why some people (esp SSR owners/lovers) might have taken offense so quickly to the thread, as it seemed I was starting to get some heat.

I also really hate to see this bathroom damage investigation to go on any longer then necessary :scared1: ....which I think we passed about 9 pages ago! :rolleyes1

Next time my dear... you need to bring a little secret camera. :)

the stall that was damaged was the one when you walked in and went to the left. The stalls on the back wall of the restroom.

OK, this thread has been fun for quite awhile now, but it's run any useful course and has just developed into repetitions of the same general comments over and over. Since nothing new is being added to the thread, the moderators feel there is no legitimate reason to let it continue. For that reason it is being closed.
