The basement's flooding! Quick - what do we grab?

As the rain poured down and the basement started to fill, you know that I went straight for my Disney bag! I had made t-shirts for 11 people, and started filling the suitcase with items to share with the kids throughout the vacation. No way was I going to be losing that!

Thank goodness for amazing neighbours, who went house to house as a team to help everyone clean up. We've sorted the clean from the not-so-clean, and are waiting for contractors/insurance adjusters. Fortunately we were able to clear out all the stuff that matters ... and the rest is, well, just stuff.

And of course, we have that Disney vacation to look forward to!

I know you pain. Water comes in faster than it goes, just to find out your insurance sucks. However $85k later it can rain all it wants and we'll stay dry. Heck of a drain on the pocket book but worth every cent.
