Awesome, my 2yo will have a friend to play with

I will have a 2 year old as well. Has anyone taken a 2 yo on the cruise before? Is there lots for them to do? I don't think they can swim in the main pools if they are not potty trained right???

I think they have a special pool for the non potty trained. Is yours two now or two on the boat? Mine will be 3 1/2 when we sail.

DD will be 21 months when we sail. We have sailed on the Magic twice before (pre-DD). There were lots of very young kids and there seemed to be quite a bit that they would enjoy. They have a toddler splash area i think, they just require that they wear a swim diaper. I'm not sure if non-potty trained little ones are allowed in the Mickey pool or not.

She just turned two on Sept. 11 so she will be 2 1/2 on the boat!

Yay welcome to the party! I'll add your fam to the cabin list spreadsheet... if you didn't want to participate in the FE exchange let me know! I'll definately be crashing your Deck 6 party... unless you wanna come cruise with the Pittsburghers on 7!

We're still iffy on participating in the FE exchange. We've never done it, but Jessica is looking into getting a FE and determining if she want's to do it. We'll let you know once we decide.

We took our daughter on the cruise when she was two. She turned 2 on the ship. Last year, we had both our daughter (almost 4 at the time) and our son who turned 1 on the ship. As toddlers, they spent time in the nursery (which is great by the way), in the splash area, lot's of time walking around the ship, seeing characters, etc. Non-potty trained kids can not be in the pools. There is a splash area for non-potty trained kids, but they still have to wear a swim diaper. Our son loved it last time.

See above, it's a splash area. Our son turns 2 today! 9/21...so he will be well past 2.5 and our daughter will be 5.5.

Our son turns 2 today! 9/21...so he will be well past 2.5 and our daughter will be 5.5.

So we have a 5.5, a 3.5, 2 2.5yo's, and a 21 month old. I'm glad we have so many little ones. We took our son on RCI when he was six months and there was nothing for him to do

I was pregnant on our last cruise and used the Seabands and drank Ginger ale. This worked great for sea sickness and morning sickness

Also you want to get a stateroom as low as possible and middle to rear of the ship. There is less movement.

My DD18 normally gets car sick and seasick but have only been sick twice on the Disney ships. Each time, Bonine helped. I like Bonine better than dramamine because it has less side effects.

I'm hoping sea sickness doesn't hit us ... but I'm a pharmacist, so I'll probably be bringing half of CVS with me. Just stop by 7066 and I'll hook you up! I've had a lot of patients swear by Sea Bands and ginger gum/candied ginger/ginger ale.

I hope it doesn't hit us either! I use to get car sick when I was younger but it seems to be better now. Maybe I will bring a Sea Band along just in case. No seasickness is going to hold me back from having a blast!!!!

so a couple questions (yes i'm a newbie, and yes i'm a planner, and no, i can't stop talking about the cruise!)

1. do you have any shore excursions that you are planning on doing on this trip? and/or have you done any in the past that you highly recommend?

2. first or second dinner seating? (2nd for us)
