The Bahamian Rum Runners! May 18, 2012 - 5 Nights on the Magic!

Hi guys. Unfortunately due to some scheduling conflicts we are bowing out of this cruise date. On the plus side we are going on the May 14 cruise which is immediatly before this cruise. It is 1 less night but I figure it's better than nothing right? Happy cruising guys!!

We will miss you - but glad you still get to cruise. You will be on the Dream now right? Let us know what you think of it.

Hi Everyone,

Just switched from the 5/14 Magic cruise to this one!!! We are SUPER excited to be back on the Magic!!! This will be our 8th DCL cruise

For those of you who have not yet been on a Disney cruise: prepare yourselves for the most wonderful vacation ever!!! There's nothing like a voyage on this beautiful ship (and her sister ship, the Wonder), and I can't wait to board :)

It will be just the two of us...Kim and Chris, from the Philadelphia area.

Welcome!! Glad to have you both with our group!! So, being a newbie, I've got a question for you (and anyone else) who is a seasoned disney cruiser.. what's the one, absolute thing you cannot/will not miss once you board? There is soooo much to do, and so many choices, and I love hearing what everyone's "favorite" thing is! So please, share away! :) :surfweb:

thats open for everyone to post stuff in as long as we dont go over 10gig. so if anybody has something they would like to share with the class help yourself

Aweseome! I guess if anyone has anything to update on the Excel or txt files they can download, update, then reupload... good idea. I uploaded a bunch of graphics I found on the DISigners board... feel free to steal!

One of my favorite things is the Sail Away party! I just can't begin to describe the feeling you get when the party is winding down, and the countdown begins to departure...."Five! Four! Three! Two! ONE!" ....and then the ship's horn blasts "When You Wish Upon A Star"!!!!! :cool1:

Because I'm a total Disney goober, I still get a pit in my stomach & my eyes tear-up whenever they play it :lovestruc

Then DH and I find a nice spot on deck, and enjoy waving to the people on shore (most of whom wave to the ships while wearing Mickey gloves!). And then we take a nice deep breath, grab one of those fancy drinks, and ENJOY!

Ahhhhh....can't wait!!!!

Kim and Chris - welcome!

We have been on one other cruise but it's been so long I feel like a newbie myself.

I have a question about the Rainforest room - what exactly is it and or can you do in there? I would love to hear all about - good things and the not so great.

Hi Jen!
You know what? We've never, ever been to the spas on any of the ships.

We're more "pool dwellers" than anything else, so unfortunately I have no info on any of the spa activities. Sorry!!

Hi Kim and Chris. Glad to have such a Disney goober to join me in my gooberness. I also cry when I walk into the MK. Our whole family has made it a point to hold hands when we walk in. But.... I am curious. Being from where I am from.... Flyers fan? -

Oh, I've shed my fair share of tears walking into the MK, too :rotfl:. There's just something about seeing the Castle at the end of Main Street that makes me "feel like I have something in my eye" (wink).

I'm glad I won't be the only one wiping tears away when we pull out of Port Canaveral, lol!

I'll find a way to work around my personal hockey feelings because I think I'm gonna like you guys...

I just got off of the Dream on 8/7 and had two Rainforest day passes on that cruise. SO WORTH THE MONEY! Especially since Hurricane Emily kept us out of our second dip day at Castaway Cay. My DD18 and I spent the day in luxury. Mani/Pedi, Sauna, Rainforsest shower, hot tub facing the sea.

I only had a massage, mani/pedi, and hair-do on the Magic when we went back on 5/2009 and I was in a hurry to leave (renewing my vows on the ship - deck 7) that day so I didn't stay too long in the area. I look forward to relaxing this time!

OK, hockey will not be discussed ;) I promise.

Sorry you missed a day at CC. We were on the Dream's first DD, back in May.

What did you think of the Dream?

That's OK.. I have plenty of time to dig up info on the Rainforest room.

We didn't spend much time at the pool on board and we never spend time there at WDW. Before we had our own built we were there all the time, but now I am so spoiled  by having a pool all to myself they never appeal to me.

Now give me a beach and I am soooo there! ;)

Im a early riser, so i would like to get up, grab some coffee and explore the ship before it gets crowded. its very peaceful.
