heads up to the adults.... i might be knocking on your door and hand delivering the adult gifts

I don 't understand that either. Our dogs were adopted when they were about 4 months old. They had been found as newborns abandoned in a plastic bag on the side of the road. We got 2 of the 4 and they are the sweetest dogs we have ever had.
Eli has some issues - they do not make him aggressive - just the opposite. He is so timid and submissive. He has some health issues too - allergies. The dog is allergic to - FOOD! He can't digest and absorb protein right so we have to buy special prescription food for him. Costs a fortune but he is so worth it. Even with the special food the best we can do is control the allergies, we can't seen to get rid of them even after seeing a doggie dermatologist.
How people can be cruel to animals is beyond me - it is like being cruel to a child.
Heads-up to those of you with kiddos 5 and under. I will probably be (if I remember to pack them) zip-tying your child's FE gift to your fish or door or FE - depending on where I can attach it. I don't want it walking off and it is too large to fit in a pocket.
So ya might need to pack a small pair of scissors or have your room steward remove it for you.
If you would rather me not do that let me know and I will just hang it from - something.
We had a bull terrier with allergies. We spent several thousand dollars at CSU vet clinic trying to clear him up. His food cost us $75 for a 15 lb bag. Being a 60 lb dog, it didn't last long. Long story short he never got better. Hope you have better luck than we did.
Eli's food is about 70.00 for 20.00 and he weighs about 115 pounds.. it doesn't last long either. He has environmental allergies as well. He is VERY prone to ear infections and skin infections. The vet doesn't even ask to see him each time we call now. We have been dealing with them so long and she knows we can tell what is going on with him now so she just lets us pick up the meds we know he needs. The only way to keep the skin issue in control is regular baths with a specially medicated shampoo.
We have been fighting this all his life - he is 8 now. We really have no hope of it totally clearing up - we are happy when we can keep it under control and he isn't miserable.
So I just found you guys! We just booked last week. My husband and I are going to be getting away minus our darling daughter. She is 20 months- but mommy just needs a vacation before daddy deploys! So can anyone catch me up to speed? I'm getting excited!!![]()

Welcome. At 20 months, everyone deserves a bit of *me* time. So, are you also hitting WDW before or after the cruise? Do you have any excursions planned? Is this your first cruise?
This is a fun bunch of people. I'm sure someone will come along with details on our meet, etc. Make sure to go to the shared site for more details on DIS participants, and cool stuff.
On the cruise, there will be drinks!
Hey Blair! I like your name DVC Blair!
Welcome to the group. Your DH is not alone.. mine likes his fair share of "girly" drinks as well.. but he also like a good stout beer
Ian (my DH) has spent some time contracting - well his company did, for the Navy. He worked on navigation systems for the trident II subs back in the day. Even spent some time on a sub. This was a long time ago - our oldest was just a toddler then and she is 23 now. So I can feel your pain.
I don't see where anyone has mentioned it but we are meeting up in the promenade lounge at 3:00 if you are interested.
Are you doing WDW before or after? We are after.
Thanks everyone! Sorry about the late notice! We just booked last week. Stupid husband's work schedule, we can never plan ahead. Everyone - please do not feel the need to do an extra gift for us. I totally understand this is last minute! I did go to the fabric store to get fabric to make a fish extender - wish me luck! (I'm not a big sewer, but I can do ok sometimes.)
My husband's name is Zachary. I think I told you already our stateroom is 7616. Thanks again guys for your hospitality! Please don't fret if you have already finished your gifts. Our feelings won't be hurt! Promise!!
I'm so excited, but a little nervous to leave our DD for 5 days! Eek!
