...HOWEVER - I am going to agree and say I don't want to be on a ship in the middle of a storm. Doesn't sound like fun at all.
I've been in plenty of storms at sea (most of them courtesy of the US Navy), including one not unlike the movie "Perfect Storm". I actually enjoy them, but then I don't get sea-sick.
When we sailed the Western Caribbean on the Magic last January, we encountered a storm while visiting Cozumel that stayed with us for a good 24 hours. The Captain did his best to skirt the storm and we were fortunate that we could have fireworks (if was iffy for awhile) but we had lots of sick passengers and CM, and the passageways and public areas were virtually most of the evening. We had waves crashing out of the pools next morning! By 8.30 or 9am I'd only seen 2-3 passengers. I've been in worse storms (and longer) but that was my first on a cruise ship.
