The Bahamian Rum Runners! May 18, 2012 - 5 Nights on the Magic!

...HOWEVER - I am going to agree and say I don't want to be on a ship in the middle of a storm. Doesn't sound like fun at all.

I've been in plenty of storms at sea (most of them courtesy of the US Navy), including one not unlike the movie "Perfect Storm". I actually enjoy them, but then I don't get sea-sick.

When we sailed the Western Caribbean on the Magic last January, we encountered a storm while visiting Cozumel that stayed with us for a good 24 hours. The Captain did his best to skirt the storm and we were fortunate that we could have fireworks (if was iffy for awhile) but we had lots of sick passengers and CM, and the passageways and public areas were virtually most of the evening. We had waves crashing out of the pools next morning! By 8.30 or 9am I'd only seen 2-3 passengers. I've been in worse storms (and longer) but that was my first on a cruise ship.

We had our 8/2 Double Dip taken down to a single dip because of a hurricane. Captain just drove around it. A little rain, a little wind.. spent my day at the spa!

Anyway... I have a size 7 girls pirate costume (seen in photo below) available for whoever would like it. Its quite short so you have to wear leggings and an undershirt...... I'll bring it for whoever would like it. Mackenzie grew out and we got a NEW one at the post-halloween sale.

Mickeys Mates...storm the Bahamas

on second thought - maybe the word STORM is NOT something we want to use. :scared1: LOL

To get away from the storm theme, ow about "Mickey's Magical Mates sail the Bahamas" ... assuming the others don't mind me borrowing their catch phrases and mixing them up a bit.

You are incredible! I am so impressed iwth the way that you have the FE list put together! As soon as we have our room number, I will send it to you. I already PM'd you to add us to the list. I did forget to add that we are celebrating our 10 year anniversary (on the 18th) and our son Robbie and Daughter Caroline's Birthdays :)

okay i'm just going to start rambling some name ideas... although i do like mickey's mates, but leave off the storm part, because that's the last thing i want to think about on my vacation :)

* buzzing through the bahamas (buzz lightyear fan, obviously)

* quackin' on the magic (donald duck theme..)

* magic quackers (still donald duck theme..)

* crusin' pals (since mickey calls everybody pals...)

* plank walkers (pirate...)

* mickey's voyagers

* mickey's crew (or anybody's crew for that matter, donald, goofy, woody, etc.)

* disney dreamers (although sounds like that should be used for another ship...)

* pixie pirates

* magic mermaids (not to sure how the men and boys will feel about that one though lol)

* magic adventure

* magic mouseketeers or mouseketeers on the magic (i have no idea if i'm spelling mouseketeers right lol)

* magiccalifragilisticexpialidoucious

anywho, again these are just some rambling thoughts.. :confused3

Since this will be our first cruise and we are a little overwhelmed :confused:
I think we will pass on the FE.
We would still like to do the meet and greet if possible.:cool1:

HI everyone!
My name is Kristin and I too will be joining you all on this wonderful cruise.
This will be our second cruise and a much needed vacation for our family.
Our travellers include myself Kristin(full time mom,hairstylist and nursing student), my husband Michael(the best support system around) and my boys Keaton(12), and Declan(8).
We will be celebrating our 15th anniversary on May 17th so this vacation will be a great way to celebrate. Looking forward to meeting you all, it feels weird to plan something so late in the game when I usually plan for a long time. We hope to join the FE exchange and to get caught up with you all.
Have a Happy Wednesday!
Kristin:)

I think the same will go for us. The closer it gets the more stressed out I am getting! :eek:

I was just going over the list and noticed we hadn't been added. Please let me know if my pm didn't come through. I should have a room number next week.

Thanks!

Woo Hoo! We were able to book our Palo and Flounders Reef reservations today. Needless to say, we are getting really excited for this cruise! I really need to think about what I want to do in the spa ... Rainforest room only or massage and rainforest room. Decisions, decisions.
:yay:

Oh, and more great news! Our 2 yo DS decided he was potty trained this week and started wearing big boy underwear to school, so he'll be able to swim in the mickey pool as well as play in the splash area!
:yay::yay:

Item 1: BOTH. Refer to item 2 for reference - YOU DESERVE IT

Item 2: Potty trained 2 year old worth BIG celebration! Maybe a spa visit!

Hey all! Sorry I've been MIA here lately... My job situation has changed a bit over the past few months (from being at one pharmacy for 3 years... to floating around our district for 2 months... back to a permanent store now). But I just read through ALL of the posts and made notes to update the FE/cruise list. I still want to list everyone so we're familiar before the meet, but I'll separate out the people participating.

But I'm off to go get my taxes done!!!!! Yay cruise cash! :yay: I'll post the new list either later today or tomorrow morning. Have a great day everyone! :thumbsup2

Thanks!! I will probably do a massage, since you can hang out in the rainforest room afterwards without add'l cost and then maybe hit it up again one other day later in the cruise. :)

Booked a cabana at Castaway Cay today, so I am now officially too excited to sleep! :cool1:

Way to go - family beach or serenity?

I am really hoping we can get one on serenity but I can't book until the 18th. :(

Oh well - even if it doesn't work out for us we will still have a wonderful time.... or that should be MAGICal time. ;)

Hi everyone,
I have to start on my fish extender soon as well as gifts! Are most people doing a gift per family? Just curious.
This whole planning at the last minute is crazy, but I am not complaining.:goodvibes
Happy Sunday Everyone!
