Just whackdoodles.
In the apt we lived in before we moved into the house, we had a total whackdoodle for a neighbor. She was a mid-40ish woman with a 16 daughter and she didn't work (the mom). She would stay out all night doing god only knows what while her DD would blast loud rap cds that we could hear thumping all the way on the other side of our apt. The mom almost ALWAYS had a can of Diet Coke and if you touched it, she would go a little nuts. I think she was afraid of being poisoned or else she kept her booze in there.
She also claimed that, while she slept during the day, her exhusband was coming in, drugging her and stealing her teeth out of her mouth. At one point, she accused the apt mgmt staff of being in league with her ex, letting him into her apt so he could steal her things. She also hung out with a bunch of the teenage/college age guys for reasons DH and I never could understand.
Then there was the stalker. Not ours, thankfully. The apt was trying to be upscale/jazzy and so they'd hired an events coordinator to try and spice up the apt's events calendar. She was given a half-price apt and one night, after a party, some creepy guy followed her to her apt and shouted at her through the windows. She had to call the police to get him to go away, but he found her ph.# and started leaving bizarre messages for her on the answering machine.

It is like if I go out will I come back and my space be taken, that is something I have to think about all the time. I've called the management about it, and they told me just not to take anyone elses spot. WHAT????
Our county prohibits open fires. His next door neighbor came running out as it was going to blow over to his house. I saw this all on my way out and called 911. He got a hefty fine.
My mom had lunch with her friend last week and there are no new developments.
OMG, I just remembered something; when I was 22 or 23, I lived in an apartment near my university. It wasn't a big place, and the neighbors were pretty decent, but the people below us were being pretty annoying, so I wrote them this letter, printed it off and slid it under their door (yes, I kept it for the past 4 years because I thought it was so darn funny!).
