Uggh she kept IAN! Yuck, I don't like Ian! I really liked Lanny but talk about the mother in law from hell!! Poor Lanny!

Well I'm going to be rooting for Matthew, they really seem to have chemistry together not to mention hes so good looking and his family seemed really nice.

Chad is okay, I don't like him nearly as much as Matthew but he will be okay. As long as she doesn't pick IAN!

What do you think?

I knew it was either going to be Ian or Lanny.....I REALLY liked Lanny...he has been my first choice for a while.....until we met his mother!!!!! OMG!!!!!! My girlfriend called me the first commercial after that......what a mother!!!!! Notice how the DIL called her "Mrs Lawrence".....I found that kinda strange.......

And OF course Lanny respects his mom highly etc etc..........because his mother would have it no other way!!!!

Is Matthew the other one that lived in TX??? If so, that is who I am rooting for!!!!

I definitely am voting for Matthew! They just seem so happy together - and she seemed so comfortable with his family. Do I like Ian? Nope, not at all (but I bet she keeps him around next week).

Why did Chad lie about his job? Wouldn't this bother you?

Did these guys not know Meridith was going to be the Bachlorette this time around?

I'm just glad she got rid of Lanny!!! His mother was just too much!! I would've ran from that house!!LOL It did seem like Lanny thought his mom was not out of line.

I think it will be Matthew too. She glowed with him when on the swing, I didn't notice that with the other 3. I thought Ian would go after his date but then Lanny's mother ruined his. Out of the two, I thought she would keep Lanny and was surprised when Ian got the first rose.

Lanny's Mom was way over the top! I really liked Lanny too, but I couldn't really see Meredith moving there.

I am rooting for Matthew. I do not like Ian. Chad is ok.

I also would have run from Lanny's Mother's house. Holy cow, can you imagine how Merdith was feeling while she was hearing the Mother say that she had to be submissive to Lanny if they married? I think I would have made a rather quick exit.

Ian, I don't like at all. I got the strangest vibe when she met his 'brother', who to be honest, I'm not so sure was his brother.

Chad, I swear that guy was on another show, and he lied about having a job. Big concern there, don't lie to me, I may not believe anything you ever say again.

So, I suppose she ends up with Matt, who I don't think she has that strong of a connection with. I really can't see her marrying any of these guys.

That is the same thing one of my friends said. She said I think Ian is gay and just went on the show to get on TV and never thought he would make it as far as he did. Its just weird that you said you thought it may not be his brother as well. I have no idea whether to think he may be gay or not but having two people suspect that wasn't his brother is just weird.

I told DH that I thought that they aren't really brothers but gay, he laughed. I really want to do a little detective work to see how off base I am.

I REALLY didn't like the way he was telling his 'brother' that he was not going to give her a ring at the end. That just didn't seem like brotherly conversation to me. I told DH that I hope the producers share that little tidbit with her.

Hummm well if you do be sure to post because I would love to know!! Now it really is funny that you said he was gay too. To mention, my friends best friend is a gay man about the same age. She said "YOU CAN JUST TELL!" Which I don't know what means but that would be quite an interesting twist.

One more thing, that would certainly explain why he didn't want her to meet his parents, and he seems awfully closed off.

I was thinking this too. I think she likes Matt for now but I'm not so sure she wants marriage right now. It seems she wants the steady relationship now and to see where that leads. That's ok. Matt would be a good choice.

Keeping Ian surprized me too. I was like .... when I heard her call his name. Wow! The only thing I could think of is that she let Lanny go now so he wouldn't be hurt more. After meeting the Mother and the religion thing plus where they live I think it was honest of her to let him go now. He's a great guy but not for her, an independent City girl.

If Ian doesn't go next week I will be more shocked. That meeting was too weird for me. One friend, no parents and that bizarre brother.

If she doesn't pick Matthew after tonight's show, then she's going Bob's route. Chad conveniently forgot to tell her that he lives with his mother and that he was unemployed. Ian is just plain wierd (and I agree about the comments about his "brother" and his friend). Did he not have her meet his parents because they don't have anything to do with him and his lifestyle?

And poor Lanny. I loved her interaction with him last week. Then his Mother from Heck goes and ruins it for them.

I really wanted her to dump Chad and Ian tonight.

It's gonna be Matthew.

I guess I'm alone - I like Ian. He was open with her that his family wasn't very warm and that he was closest to his brother. Ian has said many times he can't see getting engaged at the end of the show - what he said to his brother wasn't new. I think he is acting fairly typical male. All the gay men I know are very open with their feelings - but I've known many straight guys like Ian who think "if it's right, she'll know it without words".

Chad freaked me out. I wish they would have shown them talking about the fact that he lied about his job - she said he told her he had one. (Though the reality of it is that many of these guys were probably between jobs or working for their families in order to be able to take time off to do the show) His family seemed nice, but a little too ready to unload him.

As for Lanny's mom - she wasn't really saying she expected a woman to be submissive to her son, she was saying she expected a DIL to be submissive to HER. Meredith was very tactful in the way she dealt with her. If I were her I would have been tempted to go hug the other DIL and whisper "I'm so sorry!" in her ear!

I think the final two will be Matthew and Ian.

Lanny's mom? YIKES. That's about the only word for it. I also thought it was weird that the DIL called her Mrs. Lawrence.... umm.....yeah. I missed the rest of them (I had to tape it and I thought American Idol was longer than in actuality) but I agree, I haven't liked Ian from the first show. It'll probably be Matthew... he creeps me out though. He seems weirdly intense or something. This is very strange, I don't like Meredith or any of the guys, yet I still watch it. Kinda sad.
